  • I play.. e C G D for the first verse, it sounds very similar, and you don' break your fingers trying to hold the bar chords :D (I'm beginner, so i think it's lot easier this way) :)

  • @zamrzko SAME TO ME.. When i try to listen the NUMB-LINKIN PARK chords. because it is E-C-G-D too.. so when I try on ACOUSTIC.. Its sounds like 21 GUNS..and it is so very easy

  • @zamrzko You'll learn to like Barre Chords lol, trust me I've got at least a bit over 1 year experience under my belt and it didn't take me long to get used to Barre Chords

You'll get there buddy, just keep trying! ;)

  • How many bass-guitars you have? :)

  • are you reading from something ?

  • Nice toturial, but you should really put the solo in too. It's so easy so it wont be too hard for beginners to play it. I can play the solo yea, but i'm just telling that you should add the solo in the video too :P

  • hey...when i play the chord the sound is not same as your why?? is it my guitar tune is wrong??

  • @teruna619 odds are that's the problem. Maybe your finger positioning is the wrong (wrong frets) or you're accidently muting a string with one of your fingers. Try playing the chord string by string to make sure that isn't the case.

  • @teruna619 it can be tuned wrong. U can tune it using softwares. It is very easy to tune or u may just think it is wrong, just try the whole song together maybe it would come out right :) but most probably it is the tuning.

  • @teruna619

or watch a youtube video and tune it after it :)

  • O' ZAPPATORE . . . . .

  • great tutorial.... thanks!

  • this is a awsome lesson for beginners good job, eventually 0once this is leartn try and play it the way its played live with the propper chords not all power chords. 5*

  • ....say what

  • tnx for d lesson.... i enjoy it...

  • hey, with that first little bit, i found that to make it sound more like the actual song, that you fingerpick 5A&6B, 1A&6B, 8A&6B, 3A&6B, and repeat, thats just my opinion but thanks for the lesson

  • thx man awsome lessons this is a easy song but it sounds awsome

  • thanks this helped alot

  • there is a easier way to play that

  • are you reading the tabs off your computer????

  • @SYLPT93 so what if he is !?

  • Actualy, the intro is played with volume swells, with a bit of distortion, just hammer onto the fret and turn the volume up on your guitar, then back down for each note, it sounds pretty good...

  • the intro is just played with chords, way easier, and sound way better :D

  • can anyone give me a damn lesson where its nothing but power chords lol. good lesson tho.

  • Aaaaaaahhh bad intro =s

  • Good Work this lesson is great

  • the intro part is played on guitar using volume swells. Volume swells are where u apply loads of reverb, turn down the volume on the guitar and strike the note, then slowly turn it up. So all you hear is the sound of the reverb echoing :)

  • Great lesson, but I pretty sure the verse is played on open chords.

  • I think that open chords sound better too. but its playable with open- and bar chords.

  • They have two guitarists now, I think they play both the open & the barres.

  • They've had two guitarist since almost the start of Green Day. The other back-up guitarist is Jason White. I think he plays something else while Billie plays the verse.

  • Good lesson but turn up your amp!

  • it is open chords

  • nice lesson... its a pretty simple song and great for those people who are onli beginner guitar players.

1 thing tho... im not sure whether im right or not but... isnt the song supposed 2 be played with open chords???

  • Try learning the chords first. then just try to change chords as fast as you can. Why not make up your own song and just play all the chords you need to know?

  • try hanging by a moment...first song i learned

  • frst part can be made very simple by using

dmin - b#-f maj-c maj cords instead of power chords, for beginners

  • whatever

  • ur suppose to use open chords

  • thanks

  • its like hes teaching a person whos never played guitar before =S but whatever, fix the guitars intenation man its bugging me lol

  • lol sorree no all of us are experienced =D

  • to me it sounds better with bar chords but last one c should be open chord to me :D Idk thats only my oppinion but it sounds better to me. Thx man for showing another way how to play this song :D

  • i've easily learned this song because of your video !

can i have a request can you make a video with this song playig the whole song with a guitar plsss ????

    but thank you !

  • your supposed to use open chords for this song,

  • ur right

  • going 2oo fast!! =P

  • great lesson!

    it helps me a lot

  • well this i suppose is right but theres an easier way i think. its dm open a# open f open then c open. intros the same. thanks m8 u helped me a bit.

  • and the solo??

  • damm amazing thx helped me alot ^__^ better than the other vids

  • it doesnt sound like his amp is on

  • wow ppl are so immature!!!! god who cares how ur voice sounds??? like its the thought that counts! i think you did awesome!

  • Who cares how his voice sounds? It seems ok to me you assholes! Grow up.

  • thx for the support man, there are just so many retards around here

  • you're good man...

  • what's the 4th chord? on my guitar the sound is not the same...O.o

    it is a Cm,isn't it?

    but sounds different!

  • i think its a c chord

  • thanks ^^ (Y)

  • hmm, non its not a behringer, sry haha

  • omg behringer lol

  • what is behringer?

  • he said like ringo

  • thanks it helped

  • when is part 2 comin

  • omg your voice makes me wanna scream! and your directions are shit man nobody can understand

  • dude u suck at giving directions

  • i hate ur voice dude!!!

  • I think the intro should be played on the B string entirely, the tone is too twangy with the e string

  • The #A would really be called Bb in this case because it is in the key of D minor. Barre chords work, but open chords are the write way.

  • nice lesso but it sounds better not in power chords, and on an acoustic,,, 8]

  • lol, love that smiley, never saw that before!

  • i thought d minor b on the 4th fret a?

  • hey mate its realy nice lesson i almost learnt the im still practicing :)

    thanks alot :D

  • Nice, but be sure to tune up your guitar mate:)

  • ur right about that,,they r open chords ,thats how i play the song, this guy is playin it too far up on the neck,,,
