Also, the whole reason God told man to work for six days and rest on the seventh is because he did the very same thing. He blessed the sabbath (the seventh day) and made it holy. Notice man was created on the sixth day. Well, if you trace the lines, the Bible gives us only 6000 years of earth history.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the oldest known now living organism is a spruce (in Sweden) some 9550 years old. There're some 20 spruces about 8000 years old scattered throughout the southern Scandinavian mountains. Hence the accurate dating.

This should be a downer to any YED.

BTW the "Old Lady" is still thriving, albeit some grey strands.

If any Christians didn't believe in any mass extinctions, then why are fossil fuels running out? The mass extinction caused the carbon to turn into coal and oil over time, which is why our mass deposits of oil are running out.

And Carbon dating still is accurate. It is accurate within 15% every time, I know that. Could be even more efficiant.

I personally sit on bedrock that is radiometrically dated to, oh I don't know, about 2.5 billion years old via uranium isotope content and other isotopes. Margin of error would be approximately 200 million years older or younger. "Old Europe" is certainly the right term (expression coined by someone in the current administration).
