@skycladeskimo i kinda found this band by accident..i wanted to see videos of people surfing a 50 foot wave and this popped up and they remind me alot of a band called deadboy and the elephantmen..kinda weird..the singers name is dax riggs he does alot of solo stuff and is in a few other bands as well..agents of oblivion and daisyhead and the mooncrickets...check em out..

Kristin Hersh is bipolar. Before I couldn't tell just by listening to the song, but after I was told she was, it all came together.

Still prefer the the original two versions by Kristin. The one with Michael Stipe and the pre-release version that came out on 4AD's 13 year itch limited edition CD. Her voice hadn't cracked at that point. Also, this song is all about quality of lyrics and feeling, so there isn't really enough room for the band to express themselves without killing that feeling. So musically they're limited to staying in first gear. A great song, but for me it's the third best version out of three.

yeah, for some reason (legal, i'm sure) you can't find the original video anywhere online any more. it disappeared from MTV's site almost right before my eyes. found it, sent the link to some friends, went back to watch it like a week later, and it wasn't there any more. couldn't find it anywhere else either. have to ask K. exactly why that is.

It sounds pretty good but it sounds like Kristen tracked over the original recording with the electric guitar and , re-mixed the vocals. Almost sounds like Led Zep's Stairway to Heaven.
