also when we came back i got on Food stamps until we could get jobs,, and they gave my husband who IS legal and has his green card government assistance,, but told me if he didn't have at least a green card that he couldn't get it. thnk fully we both have jobs & can't get any government assistance,,our government assist, is supposed to be for us for when we actually need it not for people who aren't legal. But i don't understand how they can get it in the first place...

you can't get a social security card if your illegal,, when my son was born,, and i went to get his social the first thing they asked me for was my id and his american birth certificate,,, he was born in egypt but because im american he got nationality... when i came back to the states they tried to say he wasn't american,, i looked at them crazy and said yes he is,,, he a citizen born abroad.. they looked it up in their system and gave him his social,,
