watchin videos is fine, but the best and only way to learn harmonics is to jsut practice, they're so easy

i got the same guitar with a spider 3 line 6 75 watt amp with 400 pre settings and the first one is slipknot :P i also have a fender acoustic and a fender strat and a jackson warrior =]

If anyone liked this look up my video's on guitar harmonics. It's a experimental dubbing over dorian scales. Well whatever it is it sounds nice. I think thats all that counts. I have a (V3) version which is a triple-layer over-dub, all parts played by me. Turn volume down low as there is a lot of white noise.

In responce to what EliteSnipe03 said - I'm using the same signature special M7 that you have. The best place to pick at it is directly inline with the "B C Rich" text on your pick-up directly below the fret board. You get the clearest ring from there especially when using the higher strings. When hitting the Low E I tend to take it back anywhere up to a centimetre because your hand can sit more comfertably there with the Warlock's top spike and still get a good clear sound

Yeh but as ive said on numerous times, THIS IS A *BASIC* VIDEO, its only for somebody first getting the hang of it, more experienced players know the sweetspots theres no point in confusing somebody and telling them all the different spots if they cant pull a basic pinch off, if anybody wants a advance lesson putting on then there welcome to ask. nice job, but youre forgetting that you can only do the pinch at certain harmonic areas which depend on what string and what fret...with a finger on the same fret you can still do different pinch harmonics by picking at different spots along the string,a dn some spots will have no sound at all

yes you definetly need an amp for a pinch harmonic its about the right level of distortion

This video helped me out. I've been really trying to pull out those harmonics lately; and I manage to get them right 1/10th of the time :P. Maybe it's just my passive pick ups (I've got an Ibanez from the lower series).

it takes a while to actually get used to getting your thumb on the string, since i have an unusual way of picking.

My advice: Change your picking to the standard way. It will be uncomfortable for a few weeks; but then you will have less problems with more advanced stuff :).

this one the first video i've seen where a pinch harmonic is actually explained right and done right thanks fro the vid man... and for the ZakkWyldeSMF some pickups pickup better harmonics than others, the Dimebucker gets awesome hormonics so do any active pickups
