Another great way is to wrap the egg in damp moss and set it in the fire... it will heat the egg slowly and evenly in steam... no need to open it pre cooking.
lol yea thats proly a good reason... kool idea tho, ive seen this done before but on one of those bigass ostrich eggs, never thought about trying it on a chicken egg. So thanks! just another handy option to add to my wilderness skillset.
if you need to do this you should only do it if u are low on food the egg can have many toxins that you do not wont to have a stomach virus when surviving
@Arthos455 thank you for that comment. as someone who teaches survival for a living i am inclined to agree, however, i work in various jungles around the world and have used this method COUNTLESS times to avoid doing the washing up and never once been sick...
@mcsparron I think what ChrisHagadol means is that it is funny that you only use the bowl to deshell the egg, rather than actually cooking the egg in it. But of course, that would still require water. Interesting video!

it shouldnt take 45 minutes to cook one egg.... use more coals next time, the higher the heat level the faster the cook time.

@KAPichon yeah i know... but it was fun none the less! its also probably because the first one exploded and i didnt reset the timer...
