Romans 8 - Heirs of God and Joint Heirs With Christ

Last Saturday night, my wife and I left the LDS Conference Center with deep appreciation for the marvelous Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. I doubt there is any other place in the world where one could go to such a magnificent building, witness spectacular scenery, watch talented dancers, listen to the skilled voice of Michael York, enjoy the tremendous and popular voice of David Archuleta and then, of course, be mesmerized by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra.

Doug Brockbank, of Bluffdale, Utah, out of work for three Christmases in a row now, turns to his Mormon church as well as his own resourceful nature

That fantastic quote, taken from a blog by a Mormon woman, appears in a new paper by Nicholas Rule from the University of Toronto and his colleagues. This same team has previously shown that people can pick out Mormons from Christians by looking at photos taken from online personal ads.

They only chose ads from people who specified that they were either Mormon or a member of some other religious organization. So all these people took religion seriously enough to use it as a hook to catch a potential partner.

I ran into the TA whom I asked to speak on the Holy Ghost for my baptism. I was very excited to see him. There was this sense of ''glow'' from him, which I heard about many times yet never understood, like a ''Mormon Radar.'' But I saw it for the first time and I finally understood what it is. It is the Spirit!

Wow, really, the scripture you use to defend expounded false doctrine are both completely taken out of context and further expose your inability to understand them. A child could be deicieved by your logic, however, a theologian can see that you really have no idea what your talking about. Its like you grabbed a concordance and just looked for words in the Bible that supported these heresies. Good luck next time. your verses in Job refer to Angels by the way.

The plates that eventually ended up in Joseph's hands were given to Mormon's son Moroni, who later added his own comments and a translation of the Book of Ether. To reiterate, we are specifically told by Mormon that the Book of Mormon plates were not included with those plates buried at Cumorah.

The Lord instructed the prophet Mormon to keep his record safe, so when the final battle began he buried all the plates, except the plates that were translated into the Book of Mormon, in the Hill Cumorah (Mormon 6:6).

With all the kindnesses we give for Him, the greatest we can offer is to point those we love and serve toward Him, the only source of eternal life.

Many of you will in the Christmas season find ways to give food to people who are hungry. As you do, you bring joy to the Lord. Yet He taught us that there is a way to give an even more priceless and lasting gift. He said, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst

Second, you can give Him the gift of doing for others what He would do for them. Many of you have already done that and felt His appreciation. It may have been visiting a lonely widower. It may have been joining with others in a project to help those in need.

He has told us what we could give Him to bring Him joy. First, we can, out of faith in Him, give a broken heart and a contrite spirit. We can repent and make sacred covenants with Him. Within the sound of my voice are some who have felt His invitation to the peace His gospel brings but have not yet accepted it. You would give Him joy if you would act now to come unto Him while you can.

Above all, the Savior whose birth we remember this season of the year paid the price of all of our sins. Again the prophet Isaiah, long before our Lord’s birth, saw the gift beyond price of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

So I am to understand that your "double negative" suggests that you can say that you are disappointed in comments I've made on other peoples pages?

I am disappointed because you are still believing that what Joseph Smith has said is the truth when in reality the only thing that is truth is John 14:6 I am the way the TRUTH and the Life No Man comes to the Father except Through Me.

It can't be any simpler than this!

Definition of the word Heir = a person who inherits or has a right of inheritance in the property of another following the latter's death. (well we know God won't die but it does mention property;inheritance. What does God own? a person who inherits or is entitled to inherit the rank, title, position, etc., of another. a person or group considered as inheriting the tradition, talent, etc., of a predecessor.

What talents does God have? Rank? Title?

why does God need a title He is the maker of the universe creator of the world

I would also like to chat with you about Genesis 3:24

Now I am sure you will deny this but the LDS church teaches that when someone dies they will live with their family for all of eternity. They will reside on their own planet to repopulate it and become gods there.

Genesis 3:24

Satan tells Adam and Eve that they will be like god if they eat the fruit of the tree.

in Genesis 3 God also says that that is rebellion against Him and a great sin

so it appears to me as written in the Bible that Satan is the god of the LDS church

This totally makes sense with my experiences at the LDS church and its' functions over the last year

@TheRoseville5 Maybe you should read Genesis Chapter 3. All of it. Even the parts your pastor intentionally skips over. Careful though, if you START using all the Holy Scriptures you could end up becoming Mormon Christian.
