Very Christian like. I love it I personally believe that that is very well how it happened. 

All the soldiers were afraid to fight the giant. Then David showed up. He said I will fight. The chief offered him the best armor, but he said he didn't need it. He faced Goliath and used two flat rocks. Then his last one... hit him in the head and killed him... David wanted to make sure he was dead, so he cut his head off... VERY WELL DONE!
