Another nice to add to sci-fi mmo. Dependant on the setting of course, it would be cool to able to play as a cyborg/android. Different equipment and classes (or class implementation).

Kind of like the Warforged of DDO or the android from the Phantasy Star Online games.

I used to play AO. I love the setting and hope it doesn't die.

But the skill system is awful. The grinding kills.

IMHO fantasy MMOs borrow elements from their parents, single-player RPGs. In a scifi setting a pet class like AO Engineer and Meta-Physicist are forced. Also modern settings feature guns so there is another problem.

Sci-fi MMOs can't have the same infraestructure. Firefall learns from Tribes and Team Fortress 2. That is a good thing.

Anarchy Online great game but has to much forced team content and doesn't explore the storyline that much except for SL questline.

@BellusScormus Yeah, you are exactly right about it, it is basically just becoming a Sci-Fi WoW clone. I really wanna have hope in it but all hope is fading. Although it has potential, I mean, they have been taking their time... its been like 3 years since I first heard about it.

@Doug111973 I have, and I liked it in some ways. But the free trial doesn't show you very much of the game, it's just the tutorial from what I saw. While I did like some of what I saw there, I didn't find it worth paying a subscription for, and I feel other Sci-Fi MMOs are betgter than STO. The best thing I can say about STO is that it does capture the feel of Star Trek very well, so it's a great game for Trekkers.

lol you couldn't even say Star Wars lol yeah i think its another Warhammer online waiting to happen, would be nice if Dev did share there ideas allowing others to use and share ideas, that was what helped make widows what it is today i think you can only encourage compaction by shearing ideas all in hopes ppl will make it better
