How does one stop the "spread of islam" as Condell's supporters put it? Deport muslims? Ban mosques? Ban them from running for political office? How can Pat claim to be against islam and not muslims when he advocates policies and legislation that will effect them directly? It all sounds rather antithetical to democracy in my opinion.

I'm not sure how many people over here in the states are all that rational. I think that the Muslims over here are relatively moderate but we still have lots of anti-Muslim people over here. Islam is a threat to the European way of life. 100,000 Muslims in Europe in 1970 and in 2009 52 million. It's worth keeping an eye on this if you want to continue living in a liberal democracy. Why? Well just look at any Islamic country, read the Qu'ran or listen to the stories of x-Muslims.

You don't think there is any distinction between muslim communities in Europe and in the Middle-East? Many muslim countries were former European colonies and towards the end of colonialism and the beginning of the post-war era they became dependent on many these places for cheap labour, hence the UK has a large Pakistani community, France has a large Algerian community etc.
It's certainly not a recent phenomenon in Europe. Plus, the whole "Eurabia" theory has been debunked numerous times, most recently by the PEW institute who released a study indicating that although the muslim population has grown it's predicted to significantly decline and fall in line with more mainstream birth rates.

Nobody knows for sure but they think there's a good chance the Muslim birth rates will lower towards the average for the general population. That's what tends to happen with immigrants after a couple of generations.
@InnocenceExperience I do think Muslim birth rates will always be higher than other Europeans, but I agree that they most probably come down. The problem really is that so many Europeans are not having children, or just the one. I know so many people in their 40's and are still childless. It's time our governments introduced tax breaks or other incentives to encourage people to reproduce or we will inevitably continue moving towards being a minority.
@TheFestivelights its hard to know. The fertility rate in Iran is lower than replacement rate. Maybe it could happen with Muslims here. I just looked up the PEW figures and its from 2.9 million in 2010 (4.6%) to 5.6 million in 2030 (8.2%). Its really hard to predict what will happen by 2100 or even 2050 because so much will happen that we can't foresee. We don't know what will happen with fertility rates or immigration policy or even religious beliefs.

Islam is a threat to the European way of life. 100,000 Muslims in Europe in 1970 and in 2009 52 million. It's worth keeping an eye on this if you want to continue living in a liberal democracy. Why? Many muslim countries were former European colonies and towards the end of colonialism and the beginning of the post-war era they became dependent on many these places for cheap labour, hence the UK has a large Pakistani community, France has a large Algerian community etc.

@TheFestivelights what is predicted to decline by the PEW study is Muslim birth rates, not the overall population, but that would slow down the population growth. Nobody knows for sure but they think there's a good chance the Muslim birth rates will lower towards the average for the general population. That's what tends to happen with immigrants after a couple of generations.

The problem really is that so many Europeans are not having children, or just the one. I know so many people in their 40's and are still childless. It's time our governments introduced tax breaks or other incentives to encourage people to reproduce or we will inevitably continue moving towards being a minority.

@TheFestivelights its hard to know. The fertility rate in Iran is lower than replacement rate. Maybe it could happen with Muslims here. I just looked up the PEW figures and its from 2.9 million in 2010 (4.6%) to 5.6 million in 2030 (8.2%). Its really hard to predict what will happen by 2100 or even 2050 because so much will happen that we can't foresee. We don't know what will happen with fertility rates or immigration policy or even religious beliefs.

On discrimination of women and gays, obviously it's exists but bar a muslim run establishment refusing service to someone on the grounds of gender or sexual orientation then it's not really a legal matter. You can't impose tolerance as far as someone's own personal views are concerned. I'm pretty sure polygamy has not been made legal in any European country to accommodate muslims nor do i think churches being converted to mosques is epidemic or a common phenomenon.

Just because a video is liked doesn't mean that the person who liked the video supports the complete view of the person who made the video. I like Pat's videos sometimes because I find them entertaining I wouldn't put so much effort in to researching any of his other views,actions, or habits because he is some old dude that doesn't really interest me.

Interesting. While I do agree that his hypocrisy is indefensible, the point of his video still stands. Its unfortunate however how he shoots himself in the foot with his bigoted fervor and rhetoric. Those articulate talents could be put to so much better use.
