  • Tried that once... Now I type with one hand.

  • That looks so painful

  • And now he has no arm.

  • only in japan

  • take that yard all day

  • a different way to **** up ur arm

  • Your pitching mechanics are terrible. Kids: this is NO WAY TO THROW A CURVEBALL.

  • You can start you're lessons today to learn this pitch for just $50, we guarantee you'll see the tendons tear away right before your eyes!

  • im pretty sure a mlb pitcher for the reds threw his curve ball like this.. its not supposed to hurt your elbow as much.

  • This is really more of a changeup than a curveball. If you look, he is barely getting any rotation on the ball, and its really just gravity doing most of the work.

  • @nicknomo2 no no that pitch have a 72-78 mph the gravity doesnt help in the fall, the ball gets a front spin, that make brakes down in a trajectory 12-6 no like a usualy curveball 11-5. find the teory of how the curveball brakes and you will understand( excuse me cos my english)

  • @marklavic Well, I don't agree with the assesment that this is a 70 mph pitch. It looks about 60 mph to me (maybe less). Also, I'm well aware of the physics of the baseball. I don't think you are aware of the physics of gravity. 60 mph = .7s travel time. .7s of free fall = 2.2m / 6 feet of movement. This is cut in about half by the upward trajectory, resulting in the ~3 foot drop you see. The ball lacks sufficient topspin, and won't generate any downward force.

  • @nicknomo2 mmmm half true, but i tell you 72 mph becouse that;s my speed :s, yes gravity always helps but i tried to say is not to much, belive me that brake is so amazing

  • that's my way trowing curveball, and my arm dont hurts never.... but is not confortable to trow like that

  • I watched the other video like this and I can throw this pitch it breaks more you should try it out it doesn't hurt

  • nah, i enjoy having an un broken elbow

  • OOWWWWWWW!!!!!

  • if youre a good batter, youd be able to read that pitch before its gets out of his hand

  • That's a sinker not a curve

  • @devin9402 your an idiot not a baseball player

  • where's the curse? I call this a splitter

  • I think I just heard his elbow screaming for help

  • that was low!!

  • This boys and girls is a perfect way to fucking destroy your arm

  • this is a great way to fuck up ur arm

  • ttttttttommy john

  • yeah really u wont last long your tendan is going to rip

  • That's intense but watch the kid kill his arm

  • T.O.M.M.Y. J.O.H.N.S.S.U.R.G.E.R.Y.

  • That cannot feel too good on the elbow.

  • weird thats how I shoot in beerpong... does that mean Imma need Tommy John surgery?

  • Ok this guy not only has the inverted w pitch motion, which leads to tommy john surgery (look at stephen strasburg) but he also throws curveballs like this? Man, this guys arm is fucked

  • when i first saw the 19 secs on this video i knew that it would suck because there is no way you can learn a curve ball in 19 secs

  • @Mr4thkid It's not teaching you how, it's not trying to make you learn how, it's just showing how this guy throws a curveball, which is horrible for your arm the way he is doing it

  • Comment removed

  • Japan cant just claim this, ive thought about how it would work by pulling it from the front like this for a long time, i just dont have the skill to throw that way :P

  • is it just me or am the only one that realizes that it's not even a good curve ball?

  • two words people tommy jon

  • you are fucking retarted!!!! thats how you throw a 12-6 curve dumb shit!!!

  • tommy johns

  • Good throw, but the way he throws it will fuck up your elbow and give you a sore shoulder

  • the twisting of the elbow area is what scares me. let alone if you go the tomahawk chop route you could really hyper extend your elbow. id like to try it, but then again i want a career lol....

  • @RayKinsella23 then again. if you can sort of tomahawk chop it like you are supposed to with a standard 3/4 curve, and keep your bicep flexed more at the end and let your arm come to your body instead of supinating and then so drastically naturally pronate, it may not be so dangerous. it may even come out like that 60 mph curve that livan hernandez throws that pisses off batters lol since it is being more of a flick rather than "push." just my insight, check out lincecum's red bull video

  • @RayKinsella23

lol, the Dolphin ball, or "flipper". I could never throw a real big bender without doing just that, flicking it in there...and that made my accuracy shit, so I stuck with my slurve. Less tension on my arm, and just feels natural, I dont have to pronate violently, just the natural twist of my arm coming over the top provides the spin. And it allows for more consistency, instead of focusing on ponating or snapping the ball, I just aim at the hands, and spin it in nice and gently.

  • I couldn't concentrate on the pitch with all that Tommy John all over the place...christ, my arm just started stinging just watching this. If I ever threw this pitch it would be the last of my career.

  • @kblasker Doesn't matter, it drops 4 feet

  • In England, that's what we call an Off-Spin bowl, just raised off the ground...

  • thats got to be absolutely the WORST pitch for your arm

  • OUCH!

  • 1.) It's a tight curve, but i can throw it just as tight with more break

2.) throwing it like that, bringing your arm behind your head and having your elbow out in front of your arm is gonna really mess up your throwing arm...good luck with surgery mr. matzusaka

  • nice arm to bat it will be hurt in about a year if you do that a lot lols

  • Fuck up your arm japs

  • "a different way to fuck up your arm"

  • @charliedoja LOL true

  • @charliedoja i agree............ and thats a gyroball he is pitching its a easier way to throw a curve though

  • @charliedoja actually i've thrown this for years and it doesnt affect your arm at all, in fact its much better to for your arm than a normal curve.

my dad threw this pitch when he was a kid and his arm is in perfect condition.

  • all of the comments here are pretty funny, this is actually better than throwing a slider. I wouldn't teach this to my students for the sole reason that I wouldn't want to waste a bunch of time teaching a pitch that is just about the same as an over hand curveball, or true curve ball. All you guys 13u throwing the slide piece, that is going to get you cut on before this pitch

  • bye bye tendons in your elbow lol

  • this ball is often frowned upon by people that dont know it or havent tried it just because if you dont have someone to teach you it can be very stressful on your hands fingers and arms, but if you know the proper form its really effective and the curve is sensational. and i think its called the circle curve because when you put your hand on the ball to throw it you have a circle in your hand then throw it (you can see the circle in his hand when you watch the slo-mo form)

  • cool

  • have fun with the blown shoulder, tommy jon, AND broken wrist

  • Lol not worth risking ur arm

  • must be an idiot to throw like that ..

  • You are going to jack your arm up something awful pitching like that.

  • Yea that would destroy your arm lol

  • Have fun in PT kid

  • thats wicked, but i cant imagine how bad that is on an arm

  • Thumbs up if you also tried to throw this pitch and ended up missing your Varsity year due to a torn muscle in your elbow. Anyone? No? Didnt think so :(

    God damn this pitch

  • its probably safer for him to throw a curve this way than the traditional way given that it forces him to pronate so much, the only problem is that the batter will probably know when its coming

  • not to be another kid who says "im only 15 and I throw 100 mph" but I play outfield for my highschool team, when we warm up its always a big deal to have thhe team gather around me and watch me throw the pitch in the video. No one can hit it but eventually they figure out how to hit it, this pitch is good but you deffiently need more than this in your arsenal

  • im no doctor but.... damn

  • that was more of a sinker than anything and yeah see you in the hspitail

  • @luverofemos What?! How the hell is that a sinker? A sinker looks like a fastball, but drops due to the 'natural' arm-action a pitcher has, not how he 'tips' the wrist.

  • His fastballs were only high 70s mph.

It's a little bit slow for a high school student in the school team.

  • well im 14 and i throw about 79 82 on a good day and i throw a screw ball only if i feel like i need a good pitch to get the batter but its hard as hell to control but when you do you feel like jesus haha but it hurts my arm and the coach only lets me like 12 times a tournament and i pitch about 140 pitches haha

  • @shag1234566 your 14 and throw a screwball? Sorry your not making it past high school. Your arm is destroyed. I am 14, and pitch in triple A, but even though I want to learn breaking balls, I am saving that until I am 16. And I recommend you do the same. For our age, stick with balls that don't stress your arm. My strike three pitches are Splitter, Fork ball, and knuckle ball. Im not trying to be a dick, but if your good, you want to keep doin good. Just helping you out.

  • @hcvideoproductions true thanks man i have been workin on like cutter and stuff like that and power curvs so i dont have to flick my wrist cause i went to tha doc and he told me if i keep it up my rotator cup is gonna go =( cause when i play out field tha coach wont let me use a cut off even if my arm hurts on a throw to home and if its to tha fence in screwed cause we play on 380 fields and i have to throw all tha way in 1 hope or less and its strains ya arm not throwin a rainbow and thanks man

  • @shag1234566 You're going to have one fucked up arm.

  • @baseballguilliam2 tell me about it but now i got a doctors note sayin if i feel any strain on my arm i have to stop immedietly so i can let it heal ya kno

  • watching this made my elbow hurt

  • That's just a 12 6 curve. You can tell becase his palm is facing him when he throws

  • @nike13t You can tell it is 12-6 by the way it breaks. It breaks vertically. like on a clock, 12 to six

  • Wow, 10 pages of comments and only one person realized this is just a particularly violent screwball, not a curve. I guess most of these "baseball gururs" have never even seen a screwball motion before. Yeah it's hard on the arm, but some guys can get away with it.

  • @Tengoshi for the screwball to be a screwball his arm would have to be twisted in the other direction.

  • @lifebbz No, that would be a curveball. It already is twisted in the opposite direction.

  • Looks like it would damage your wrist

  • Tried to throw that @ age 10, but was impossible to control, and would of wrecked my arm.

  • This dudes "new" pitch will be history soon... along with his hobby.

    --Rob USMC

  • your arm is ganna fall off

  • Not effective at all. One, the batter knows everytime when the curve is going to be thrown. The dudes arm is gonna be fuc#$% in no time. God, that just looks like it hurts.

  • goodbye elbow hello tommy john

  • that CANNOT be good for his arm. Thats way too easy to pick up out of his hand too.

  • if you do that your are gonna fuck up ur arm

  • Do exactly as the guy in this video does if you want to break your wrist within a season.. or half a season.

  • ha the wrist breaker. dis fucka don't know what he's in for

  • That cant be good for the arm

  • 日本の技術が国外に流出するの、早いねぇ。

  • This is your modern day Carl Hubbell if any of your young guys know who he is.

  • That looked like it will hurt your wrist.

  • he is going to break his wrist

  • If I were on the mound, and I had this pitch in my arsenal... then I might throw it 5 or 6 times per game.... maybe.

His wrist will be toast in a very short time.

  • @Burnsengine try 5-6 times in my career. not only will your whole arm and wrist and elbow take the toll from throwing this pitch, if you threw it in a real game, it would be almost like yelling to the batter that you are throwing your "curveball". it totally tips your pitch and will either be hit hard, or they will take it for a ball low...

  • I only need to say one thing "DUMBASS"

  • that just does look right. you screw up once pitching it that hard and there goes your elbow.

  • unless this guy plans on being a closer, then this pitch is fuckin uselss

  • if I'm gonna wreck my arm, it's gonna be throwing a better pitch than that.

  • this vid sucks see u in the hospital

  • @imwildthing99 You're gonna be there too? :)

  • @imwildthing99 .... -.- why?

  • @imwildthing99 chinese people are crazy they preform their own surgery

  • I know a guy who throws this in addition to a conventional curve. He only throws it maybe 3 times a game due to the elbow strain and the fact that it's very easy for the hitter to pick up after the shock value wears off

  • ive tried this... it seems easier on your arm than a regular curve or slider. And its got nasty break if done right. But i would recomend throwing it until your at least 17.

just so your arm can be more mature

  • sweet pitch, but that has "tommy john " surgery written all over it...

  • why would that break the pitcher's arm?

its similar to the arm action of a fastball, the arm pronates at the end as oppose to a slider which really does screw up your arm.

  • this will fukk your elbow up in no time

  • It's a pretty good, but not wise to throw this ball. You are going to tip your pitches, and the way you throw it, the batter will know you are going to throw a curveball

  • @KBlasker and it will fuck up ur elbow/wrist

  • good pitch, but ur arm is gonna fall off eventually

  • Great Break just your elbow is gonna get loose on you and get tender

  • if anyone wants to throw a curveball like this, thats fine with me, there is just three words you need to know before you throw like this...tommy john surgery

  • Its A DropCurveball

Is bad for your arm Really..

    Greats Dutch Guy

  • i kno u can break ur arm wit that but that had such a nasty break

  • keep on throwing like this and your arm will curve in a few years

  • thats not a curve. thats a screwball

  • yea this works but it hurts sooooo bad

  • verry dump way to trow a curve ball

    he's killing his arm

  • not really

  • thats a good way to break an arm :)

  • you cant break your arm that way

  • He's going to have Tommy John soon...arm pointed down before his step. Way more grind on the elbow and a destroyed tendon in the future.

  • what the fuck thats how i throw my 12 6 with my forearm foward a bit wait is that a gyroball

  • almost looks like a changeup

  • That just looks painful. Then again, the original curveball delivery can be damaging to the elbow as well...

  • And I thought a regular curve was bad on your arm. This guy is leaps and bounds ahead when it comes to destroying your arm.

  • that probably so bad for his arm

  • his arms gonna become sloppy joes

  • thats how i throw my 12-6,

    im lefthanded with overhand throws.

i stopped doing it thought cause it fucks with your wrist.

  • thats how you break ur wrist wit a curve

if u use this is a dumbass

  • ouch

  • So how does he hold the curve exactly? Is it just the same around or across the horseshoe?

  • like a four seam

  • Like a 4 seam fastball, but with top-spin applied instead.... it's just inverted.

  • shut the fuck up

  • little bitch dont start shit over the internet i beat ur little bitch ass wouldnt to shit in real life

  • look little wigger shut the fuck up

  • hahahaha ur a little bitch runnin his mouth shut the fuck up dude before i have to kill you, matter of fact ill just dig ur eyeball out with a rusty spoon and eat it myself and make u watch me with ur one eye and them beat u to death

  • bitch i'll tell u where i live, if u think ur so big and bad u wana come meet me and we'll see who the tuff guy is little wigger bitch?

  • whats a wigger jw?

  • a white guy who tries to be black. they usually want to be black. not racist or anything but its pretty much the words "white" and "nigger" in one word. their usually the people u see with their pants saggin and the muscle shirts and the hat tilted a little to the side because they think they look cool but they have no self awareness to how stupid they look.

  • k thnx

  • haha wigger faggot, good one

  • That curve drops like Terahara's. That is a tough pitch to handle.

  • I throw two types of curves this way: One breaks down and away and the other sweeps away. I've had elbow problems since 2005 and this puts less stress on my arm than a normal curve, and it breaks much more.

  • I tried this..and it hurts my arm..but the pitch works

  • u dumbasses think bcuz u live in australia whereever this shit doesnt hurt you.not everyone gets it right the first try faggots. u could mess up.and break ur goddamn arm.

  • did you guys try it this way before you said you'll bust your arm? i spent a day throwing that curvball and it doesnt hurt one bit!

  • haha i know. it looks like it would tear up every tendon in your elbow

  • that will hurt yur arm after 20 of those!

  • 0:10 LOL HIS ARM IS DEFORMED XD

  • my elbow hurts just looking at this clip

  • Shit looks like it hurts.

  • i hope they have fun when they cant play anymore cuz their arm is too fucked up to

  • yea thats how u get fucked up.... stupid ass way to throw a curveball

  • he will not necessarily do ligament injuries. I am australian and this sort of wrist movement is utilised whilst bowling irregularly, but with great saffety and effect.

  • bye bye ligaments

  • whhhhhhhhhhhhhatttttttttttt ttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeee ffffffffffuuuuuuuccccccccckkkk!!!!!! boken shoulder in no time
