Personally, I think the song is quite eerily appropriate. If I recall correctly, System of a Down's album Toxicity (which contained this song) reached #1 on the billboard charts on September 4th, 2001...one week before 9/11. That fact, coupled with the dramatic lyrics about 'self-righteous suicide' and the fact that lead singer Serj Tankian was born in the Middle East, makes "Chop Suey!" possibly the most appropriate song for the events of 9/11.
