Let's see...the vid is over 7 minutes long and he talks for over four minutes trying to be funny. But, this is a nice song and I am glad I found it. Tom Rush needs to stop yakking and just play his music.

It's an acoustic version of a rocking song. Still I was impressed by how full a sound he was able to put out with just the one guitar.

The song "Merrimack County" was actually acoustic to begin with, off of the album "Wrong End of the Rainbow." Two years later the "rocking song" you're thinking of was released as "Merrimack County II" on the album "Merrimack County."
But I totally agree with you that this is an awesome version of the song.
