Bic Runga is half Malaysian and half Maori. She is from Christchurch, New Zealand. One of her sisters is also a singer named Boe Runga. She is more 'Rocky" than Bic.

I'm a NZer myself, I've worked on Kiwifruit Orchards.

If any of you had done some reading first, instead of making uneducated statements, you're realise that The Kiwi Fruit or "Chinese Gooseberry" was originally grown in China, but first largely cultivated and farmed in NZ, first going on the international market as a product from NZ in 1905 as "kiwi fruit". Its Chinese.
