Yeah there is, from 1990, it's kinda different to the novel though, but it's a good film. The boy who plays Jack is an awesome actor and his performance is hilarious but it could've been better if the script was more like the novel i guess. Never the less, watch it ;)

You played the best role. I first read the book with 12 and always had great respect for Ralph. He stayed sensible and decent to the very end - you can't demand more. He lost the power-struggle to a ruthless and mean opponent - himself only using fair means, whereas Jack employed deceit and intimidation.

For me "Lord of the flies" is together with Orwell's "Animal farm" the best political allegory I know - about power misuse, how a dictatorship can evolve.
