  • i know that this sounds bad but she doesnt love her family she doesnt understand there sorrow

  • People who choose death obviously don't realize that their family members will feel distraught afterwards.

    And no, it's not "their right to die if they want to", that's an extremely cruel and naive view;

to choose death is basically the same as to choose sorrow for one's family members.

  • i had a Heart transplant but like she says its her opinion but thats one more Dead in the world :(

  • i didn't want to die i wanted to have my own opinion and do what I wanted to do

  • @MsSweetPink You lying bitch. This girl in the video does not even have acess to the internet!

  • if shes ok with having 100% chance of dying then i guess thats her choice.

  • She did end up getting a transplant but in her own time, shes an amazing young girl and has been through more than most people for her age! Her parents are so supportive and in my opinion did the right thing!

  • My mother Just had a heart transplant September 17th 2010, she is doing amazing and has all of her energy and life back!! I am truely devestated that this 13 year old child does not want to seek out a longer life. Her parents should be held personally responcible for allowing this CHILD to make this type of decision.

  • I had my first heart transplant at ONLY 2 years old. I think she is making the worse mistake of her life, and her parents should be jailed for not forcing THIS CHILD to get the life saving surgery she needs. There are thousands of people out there that would give any thing to have a donor heart found, and get a transplant, but she's just throwing her life away. I think this is pathetic, There is a reason why they are called children. They are too young to make a decision like that.

  • thats the fucking stupidest excuse ive ever heard, she basically wants to kill herself

as if being alive in a hospital is worse then being dead, nothing happens after you die, u just fucking die

  • @lsiss1 Well, look at Isis, you wouldn't know what she means if it boot f..... you. Life means different things to different people. Judgement is not yours and what happens after we leave this world is something you know nothing about.

  • r.i.p

  • so; why is it when older people decide they want nothing more to do with hospitals and what-not and just want to live out the rest of their life not being hooked to machines or being poked and prodded at like a science fair project its ok.... but when a teenager has the same outlook on life; its a terrible thing?

  • sometimes things happen for a reason and we have to just deal with it.

  • she did have the operation. she was 14 and changed her mind.

  • hmmm.... disney land isnt even that great. No one better tell her that though.

  • why the fuck do you refuse heart transplants. fuck dude so basically your giving up all hopes of living. what the fuck is wrong with her.

  • yea you could live your life and die at 15 or take your chanes with a operation

  • finally, A person who knows how to be HUMAN, and live life! regardless of struggles

  • Is she still alive?!

  • @Kamikuru77 she changed her mind when she was 14 as she suffered kidney failure and she wanted to live longer. The operation was a success.

  • @Kamikuru77 yeah she's alive, having changed her mind and took the operation.

  • I wouldn't refuse any transplant even if it means it could save your life.I can see where she is coming from tired of being in the hospitals over and over but if you have a bad heart you dont have much choice

  • I think this is so wrong. If kids have the right to decide all aspects of their life, why does the law require kids to go to school?

When she's 18, she can decide what she wants to do. But I think the courts should have forced her to get the transplant.

  • Young girl. please listen..im in the need of a heart trasnplant, and ive had cancer within the last 4 years.there is so much for you to live for, i know it is hard going in and out of the hospital and putting up with all of it, but whenyou are older and you are telling your children all about it, you will be so happy to be alive and thank god that you went through with it. Do it for yourself and your unbborn children..

  • @65ludwig 1.No such thing as god.

2.She cant hear you...-.-..The odds of her watching this vid is like 5%, the odds of her seeing your comment is 0.0000001%, it seems you dont really care anyway, i suggest going to the right place.

  • Does anyone know if she is alive.

    Does it get her good??

  • @Lisaaaa95 Just so you know they dont mean literally quality of your health...-.- They mean the experience, would you rather live a long live full of misery?Or a short one with happiness friends and love?

  • Some times a operantion can make somthing worse. my father broke his backon a skiing trip in califonia. He said the operation jacked up his spinal cord. as leading to he had a bone out of place. iwould refuse the oporation as well.i dont trust doctors with there cold boney fingers, Touching me when im asleep. it just feels disturbing to be nude on a tabel when lets say 3 men are looking at ya. Never know.,,

  • a month in hospital.. or dying early. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • What a beautiful little spirit you are..Bless You and Heal You!!!

  • She goes to my school, and yes she is getting better, she is coming back to school in 2 months!

  • I don't know if it is good or bad, but I admire they way she stand up for her own apinion ;D

  • Yeah i know.

And when they said they would take her to court and physicaly remove her from the house.....

    I said "WHAT!!!!?!?" lmao.

  • @Minella14 Opinion...

  • @MartinisLife what ever ;)

  • Is she still alive?

  • this girl is a soldier

  • Her family CAN afford to take her to Disneyland - but they are struggling to find a travel insurance that will cover her if she needs treatment while away. Because she has a pre-existing condition and a poor prognosis (outcome) I doubt any insurance will cover her for it. If she goes without travel insurance, and then needs treatment, it could cost the family tens of thousands of pounds. You American kids must know about that?

  • not her dude this lady said stuff about god and shit look back a few pages she called cristins a piece of shit and said their is no god look back

  • fuck you

  • This girl isn't brave, she's really stupid.

My sister had a heart transplant when she was 8 years old, and she has learning difficulties, and she has one of the rarest blood types, Yet she lived and is much better off because of it.

  • no this girl is really brave..... not stupid like you claim, she has a really good point, being fed up with being stuck in hospitals, she will be admired forever

  • wow shes dumb... i love the hospital they should force her to do it

  • 0:58 HE'S the Daughter refusing a transplant?! XD (Read the little caption under his name!)

  • lol. You're a trip.

  • :D Thanks! Just being observant! XD

  • are u kidding me hospital's the best place to be !

  • ew I feel sick just going to visit people

its so dull....so clean(lol) no but seriously it make you sad...

  • misshappyallthetime fuck of stop trying to look cool no one gives a shit if u know her go fuck urself

  • I wish officials would get the FUCK BACK.

We dont need them in our live's

I have a stomach disorder and have been told it needs to be operated on or it WILL kill me,.... since then [2 years ago] i have never been to the hospital or doctors, nor taken any form of medication.

My condition is still here, but no worse.... its also no beter, but just show's how bad the medical service's are now days!

    And again FUCK THE GOV!

  • Good news everyone!

If you haven't heard on the news hannah had the transplant and she's doing Ok. She had it two days ago.

  • Did the fat guy die ?

  • I hope sehe lives more than all of us...she is tooo bautiful to die .....

  • i read in the newspaper that shes now going for the heart transplant i dont get why she changed her mind now

  • You die.

  • how can u think and speak like that!

She's my best friend! I don't want her to die but I have to support her and she needs support as well. And people like you make her feel bad.

We try hard to do everything we can for her and keep her happy but your not helping, so piss off! and don't speak about hannah that way again!

  • I apologize.

  • Thank you. She's the most lovely and wonderful people in my life and I don't want to lose her, but looks like there's a high risk I might, but if she's happy then I will as well.

She doesn't deserve what she's been through.

    But thank you for apologizing.

  • is she still alive.. she very pretty..

  • Yeah she is. Amazing news, she had the transplant and she doing well ?(she had it two days ago) it was on national news. I'm so happy she's going to live.

  • finding her an insurer will be a problem, until then she will have to wait to go to disney land.

    shes so admirable

  • I'm in the process of going on a heart transplant list. It's a very tough decision. I'm making a different deciscion than she is, but I fully understand hers. Not every 13-year-old has the capacity to make that decision, but I think she understands better than anyone what the risks and benefits are. She's making a very grown-up choice, and she should be supported in it.

  • this kinda pisses me off im on the heart transplant list and already had at least 10 operation (still waiting on the heart) and she says she has "bad experiences with hospitals" you know what lil girl you have to go through some hard times before you and truly be happy and she's only 13 she's basically throwing her life away. i would never refuse a heart, when all you really have to do after they put it in is take your anti-rejection pills everyday and on time. seriously, on my rant is over .

  • Hannah understands that but she had already been through 8 years of treatment and she didn't want to go through more, like the operations. The problem is she has gone through too much medication in the past and doesn't want to continue.

She's extremely brave to accept the decision is hers and that she chose not to have a heart.

The possibility of getting a heart is very low.

  • you are to young to make that decision...

and your parents are to stupid to support you

  • They transplanted titanium heart and titanium femur (replacing my good heart and bones) even without my knowledge!! What say you ?

  • Life is a miricle.

To die is to never be

living again. I mean, no one

really knows if there is an afterlife.

and even if there was, what it would be

like. if she dosent live, shes dead. I dont want her to die. I would rather go through pain and tourture everyday, if it ment that i could live out the miricle of life. But she has the choice, and in my oppinion i think shes making the biggest mistake... of her life. Im only 13 to, but yeah, this it what i think. Byee.

  • Her bravery is very admirable

  • Man, I remember when I had cancer.

  • i kno her

    i go to her skool

  • ''Everybody dies'' ... Until we find a way to stop death for good. I will not give up until there is no more hope. I respect her decision, but I suggest she accepts the transplant, she has way more to see and experience. It makes me sad, this is like suicide, no? When people decides to die, don't we arrest them most of the time?

  • No it isn't suicide. It's HER LIFE, if her number is being called, it's up to her if she wants to go. If you have a belief of life beyond this world then dying becomes a mute point. It is her decision, nothing to do with the courts or any other organization. The kid has guts and she see's it as rather than being tortured with meds and doctors, she would rather leave this world, that's her choice.

  • @blite13 I totally agree. Most of the people I know have the same view as her. When it's your time to go it's your time. Artificially prolonging your life through transplants is NOT natural and shouldn't be forced on anyone. People should have the right to refuse treatment.

  • Death is a part of life. No one will live forever; our world would become a wasteland (well it already is getting there) with no natural resources to feed people. We already have overpopulation as it is.

Life is great, but I view it as a passage. I feel sorry for those that don't believe in an Afterlife. I guess they would want to hold onto life for that reason, but life has its ups and downs. There is no peace. That's what death is for. Don't you want to be at peace eventually?

  • you bitches

  • I work in a hospital as a Physiologist in a heart transplant unit, it is not an easy procedure, if you survive it, the mortality rate is highest during the first two weeks, you can have a stroke, anoxic encephelopathy, rejection, any number of terrible side effects. And even if it takes, at best you get 10-15 years before you need another, or are riddled with cancer and die from that due to the immunosupression drugs they give you....

  • This girl should be forced to get the heart transplant. It is stupid to let a child decide if she is going to live or die. It is the responsibility of the society to make sure everything is being done to keep an individual alive. There are to many children dieing in the world because they do not have medical care, food or value for life.

  • I read in the newspaper that people were saying that there are many, many people desperate (sp?) for hearts and willing recipients should get the hearts. I believe that Hannah is very brave for what she is doing.

  • You have clearly never been in a hospital for something so serious, or for an extended period of time. As a heart patient myself, I can tell you that these stays in hospitals are like a long drawn out torture. If she doesn't want the organ, the transplant list is very long, let someone who does want the organ and wants to go through all of that have it.

  • I have been in a hospital and it was one of the worst times in my life. However, to let someone die when you have the ability to help them is wrong. If she was doing this for selfless reasons i might reconsider my opinion. But she wants to avoid necessary pain, life is full of pain, there are children all over the world living in the worst condition possible just to live. She needs that heart to live!

  • you mustn't say "stupid girl".. she is a brave girl who has suffered so much.. she merit our respect!

  • brave girl

  • not liking hospitals is no reason to refuse a transplant. There must be something more behind this story.

  • I am amazed this social worker is taken seriously! This little girl hasn't lived long enough to make a decision such as the one she has made! I am a 45 year old Double lung recipient. I had to have a double lung transplant due to Cystic Fibrosis. A disease I was born with and caused me to live much of my life in hospital. I have met with many heart recipients that are doing very well after transplant.

  • ive been through leukemia twice and after weighing the pros and cons of a bone marrow transplant i refused it and made peace that i had lived a pretty full life at 18. everybody dies its just a matter of how long it takes for you to make peace with that fact. spending the last of her days enjoying whats left of her life rather then dying in a hospital bed seems like a much better way to live to me.

  • but your choice is respected

  • I am 15 and have had cancer 3 times since i was 7,the third time i had it they said,i have 6 months or i can get a stem cell transplant, same thing i could be better or worse, but odds were worse because of other health issues, they said i would have 15-20% chance of living with the transplant,i been in the hospital for months at a time,no one likes it,i have had my transplant, and im doing fine, when odds were i was most likely gunna die,and hearing this story,im sorry all i can say is, weak

  • It's sad for someone to be born in this world, and have yet to see the goods in her life faced so many bad ones already. It may not be the best choice, but you can't really blame her for the decision she'd made.

  • Her eyes look really sad. It makes me sad to know that there is really no explanation why suffering exist in our world...sufferin is simply part of our existence and human condition.

  • jaydelacruz2008:

The world isn't sincere in thanking " g o d " for all the suffering he allows, that's why it continues.

$900 Billion Dollars spent on one mans war and $700 Billion Dollars for his Wall St. buddies and not one of them can afford to send her to Disneyland.

I hope they burn in Hell for ever!

  • christianEraTrueLies:

I believe that God is also weeping for this little angel's suffering.

  • jaydelacruz2008:

Many are weeping but certainly " g o d " is not one of them. It breaks my heart to see all the hunger and mayhem in this world but I assure you there is no " g o d ".

    Why would " g o d " test his creation?

    Why would " g o d " wash away his creation?

    Why would " g o d " have someone speak for him?

Why would " g o d " send someone to speak for him?

Why would " g o d " allow so many different cults of religion?

    Its all a LIE.

  • You've got issues.

  • Wow you really are pretty dumb buddy. Your saying god should take away our will to choose and make us do what he wants like puppets? Why not just give people masters and doctorate degrees without them having to study or go through tests? Because they have to learn certain things and be tested buddy. Your logic is flawed. Their are answers your either too lazy to find them or not patient enough.

  • magussucks:

    You're dumb to think there is a " g o d ".

Just for you, if a " g o d " were true I would consider him a designer who never got it right in 3,000 years ago or 3 Trillion years ago " g o d " as stupid as you are for being a "creator . inventor".

  • fuck off atheist, some people do believe- you cant deprive someone of their deepest beliefs!

  • 06clared: You told me...

"fuck off atheist, some people do believe- you cant deprive someone of their deepest beliefs!"

Does that belief go for Muslims too or is that only reserved for you Piece of Shit christians?

  • fuck you man what you dont bielive in god mother fucker go to hell and burn

  • fuck you their is a god not g o d you will go to hell you stupid fucking athiest you dumb fuck

  • Real intelligent.

It's a cold truth that a child like this is about to end their life, and that it's the end. It's just a question of whether you're man enough to accept that the world doesn't have a happy ending.

  • What are you talking about all those comments were replying to some dumb fuck saying christins are piece of shit and their is no god

  • iff their is a god why are you saying fuck you you dumb fuck ? O.o you dont believe in god then do you, and what god lets the world get in the mess that it is, iff their is a god controling the earth, then its more than likely satan, iff you believe in all that religous crap

  • Shut up dude god can't help everything he would fuck up something else. What do you think we are updated fucking monkeys

  • well he is not as mighty as everyone is making out, he as made a world with murder disease pverty and suffering and poitless killing, and evolving from monkeys? nah why are chimps not giving birth to humans today ?

  • Ok so your not one of those fuck munches who beilve in monkeys but god still knows that people need to get through life thats the ticket through heaven

  • learn science we evolved ok the species of us evolved but some monkeys and apes didnt so that means they still excist and god left us to firure our own problems

  • I agree with you, I hope the world will realise one day... I believe in the values of religions, it is a good thing, but not fanatism. Fanatism is a bad thing. We should help ourselves instead of waiting for an hypothetical god to help us XD.

  • Kuramoong:

Regarding this girl that has been denied the opportunity to live a long normal life not to mention the torture the doctors and medication put her through, she is one of the lucky ones.

I know my words are harsh but at least she will not have her body torn into little pieces by a cruise missile.

  • Ok when you die and go hell i will be lauging

  • I can understand where she's coming from, hating hospitals and such, but I don't think that that was the best long-term decision. May God be with her.

  • It seems a very honorable choice. Although most likley not a perfect choice, it does seem rather couragous just to get on TV and say, "I'm not afraid to die." It depends on what your living for. But if she dies, that is a risk she was willing to take. Anyone who would rather take chance and belive in something, than sit back and see if it works, is a couragous person in my book.

  • I'd give her money to go to Disney World. but I only have $30. she can have it if she wants.

It's sad that she decided this way, but it's her choice and she wants this.

  • uhhh, Isismoon1405? are you out of your mind?

how dare you fault her for "giving up." unless you have suffered from cancer for years yourself.......then how can you fault this young lady for making this decision?

  • i have suffered from cancer 3 times and the third time i needed a transplant to survive...with 15-20% chance of living..i had the transplant and i am doing fine with odds against me....her excuse that she doesnt like to spend time in the hospital ..and bad memories of the hospital...i have had all of that...in the past 8 years...i think it shows a lot of weakness to say no to a transplant...because i have gone through it..isismoon is not out of her/his mind..you should never give up!

  • "You should never give up"? Says who? You?

Hannah Jones' life and death are HER decisions to make, not yours.

Hannah Jones chooses quality of life over quantity of life - a perfectly valid choice. Who decided we always have to try to stay alive no matter what the cost?

  • I would say that it is giving up and very short-sighted! Her reasoning is flawed by saying that she doesn't want to put up with the hospitalization anymore.

You mention quality of life over quantity of life; this is the most ignorant statement I have ever heard! Have you ever needed a transplant? Let me assure you that your "quality" is much poorer without a transplant.

Glad to hear that she finally made the best decision. It should go to someone who appreciates it.

    Heart Tx '05

  • @shthappens247 @Lisaaaa95 Just so you know they dont mean literally quality of your health...-.- They mean the experience, would you rather live a long live full of misery?Or a short one with happiness friends and love?

  • She's only thinking short term, that's fine, one less short-sighted person in the world.

  • No surgery? I understand hating hospitals, but she'll die if she doesn't get it. Giving up living is sad.

    Poor her.

  • It's sad, but it's her decision to make.
