@KidsCrazy99 it depends on whether you download free apps or paid apps. I downloaded facebook in this video, which is a free app.

Side loading apps will not hurt your prime. I side loaded opera mobile and dolphin hd browser. They are way faster than silk. But there is an easier way.

1. download es file manager on your fire from store. 2. click the device switch that allows apps on fire like he said. 3. go to handango an email the app to your gmail yahoo. 4. open email on fire click download open install app from es file manager.

didnt work, it installed but then takes me back to the apps when clicked.dont get anywhere-any help for that? my fire is two days old and i miss google android market.also tried loading with file expert,no go.

@beadbabe50 which app did you try to install? I've loaded a bunch and I would say 90% work. You can try installing a different version of the same app, but that doesn't work I'm not sure.
