AC/DC never wanted to be famous or live a diffrent way... Jagger tried it in the 80's & 90's he is more a glamour king than being natural - Don't get me wrong i love his style and i love him sing, but Angus is as natural as he can be... @stones2day I am AC/DC fan & Stones fan. Angus always wanted to impress the audience the target was not to be famous there is a huge diffrent on impressing the audience & trying to be famous. AC/DC just wanted to be a bar band and they don't give a shit on those who think they are better than other just because they are famous and have money, Mick is great but he got hit by the glamour he had a hard time in the Stones, but it's impossible to disagree the fact that he wanted to get famous...

Interesting comments, people say there tours are overblown, too many horns, production, obviously they do not know wtf they are talking about, on every tour they play several songs as a stripped down band, some with horns, and on the center stage, stripped to guitarts, bass, drums and keys. @harp1925 I wish more rock and pop bands had the versatility of the Rolling Stones. There aren't enough horns, backing vocals and live percussion used in modern dance music today - it is too over-reliant on studio technology like drum machines and sequencing that takes the guts out of the music.

I love the Stones but IMHO they started losing it around '74 and at this point are similar to a Vegas act. Too many guitars, horns and layers of voices that muffle the overall sound. One of the greatest things about the Stones was that they were able to sound loose, like a garage band, but extremely tight at the same time. That's all gone now and replaced with an overblown show and act that's just lame. Feels like they're punching a clock

Tight band? Sure. The thing that really annoyed me is the drummer, he just looks soo STUPID. and the guitar leads were boring as well as the showmanship from the band in general.
I do not actually think of any of their lead guitar players as less, loved Brian, loved Taylor and you certainly noticed the fresh breath of air Ronnie brought, certainly not all the oputput with Ronnie is commendable, some albums are incredibly tepid, about re-playing their old hits, yes that happened but my guess is that it was rather a necesary thing in view of the declining power in their performances, also more musicians were added to the shows (some would say, back up) .
the best music was with taylor ,he dovetailed with keith. ronny and keith are too similar in style.but wot the hell they are still a brilliant rock and roll band

They didn't played oldies in taylor era, cause jagger didn't wanted too. He declared in that time that the only thing he didn't like is to play old songs forced... They didn't played oldies in taylor era, cause jagger didn't wanted too. He declared in that time that the only thing he didn't like is to play old songs forced... And, yes, ron wood restored the original stones sound... but if everyone claims that taylor is best era... you prefer original stones sound? or improved nearly hard rock taylor sound? they are simply different... but i think taylor was much deeper guitarrist...

During their career the Rolling Stones made one big mistake that is losing Mick Taylor he was a very good guitar player a blues virtuoso he brought a new lyricism to the band and a new sound he was a very fluid melodic guitarrist neither Ronnie nor Keith play in that way I got big respect for Keith he's a great composer and riffmaster but Ronnie is totally useless to this band he's always drunk and acts like a clown on stage his solos suck he's a buffon and a mediocre guitar player

The date of this show is actually September 15, 2005 not the 25th. They played Toronto on September 26th & Columbus on the 24th and would never do 3 shows in a row. Maybe back in '72 but not anymore.

your comments are wrong. Brian was so out of it and his drug busts prevented him from touring. Money had nothing to do with it. as a matter of fact, they were paying brian 250,000 thousand a year to quit, so the band could continue. Touring in 69 was not profitable, but it helped to promote records.

Brian was dragging the band down after satanics, he would beat up anita, despicable. There is no way of knowing if you will be successful in music. Ask iron butterfly or any other one hit wonder. When the stones started there style of music had no market and they opened up those doors, greed had nothin to do with it, you play what you love and if you make it, good for you. Are you jealous? These guys work harder than anyone, a life on the road. Aon't knock it till you try it.

Wait, wait, wait, Brian had lifted the band before, try and read some history, he was in trouble, Keith stole his girl, and keith got the band, when they dumped him they were already royals, not striving, and if you are young enough or näive enough to believe greed played no part I'd strongly advise you to read their history, not the official only, for your facts are hazy and they do contain a good dose of wishful thinking, which being a fan, could be explained

What is your point, the stones had a new producer and brian got more fucked up, he was an albatross around their neck, no one will tolerate how brian turned out. In my view brian was the seed, mick and keith and the band grew out of it and moved on. If there good at business, more power to them, they busted their ass to get to the top, and brian couldn't keep up. How many songs did brian write,he was talented player, not a creator.

Oh dear, you do not get it, do you? he was fired from his own band, cast adrift to die, try and read (if at all possible) what Ry Cooder had to say about Keith Richards monetary and musical plagiarism,(Ry wrote the riff to honky tonk women) once they had control they did not invite Ian Stewart in, and he was an original, cast out because his looks, for heaven's sake, there were songs written by Jagger & Taylor that never got the credit, used him, as they do with the coloured bass chap

Mick and Keith did what they had to do, and they continue to have great success. I'm still waiting for mick taylor to release all that great material that he wrote without the stones help. It will never happen. Mick and Keith did what has to be done to keep the Stones rollin' sometimes tough decisions have to be made.
