  • original>this

  • lol! I just added this to my music playlist, so now it goes from Simon & Garfunkel to this song.

  • Sorry Ronnie is no Mick Taylor!

  • Love this song.

  • stones2 day...you are a virgin,live at home loser...fuck-off.....I could grind your girly-ass into stone in 10 seconds...Gemma

  • we were in 7th row that night Bee...

  • Comment removed

  • No body is an authority! Power corrupts and absolute power does what?

  • Mick and Charlie is the only who still got it... Sorry to say Ronnie is so sloopy.. Keith is not a real guitar star well he does it okay, but there are no solos and no entertainment...

  • Oh, well if you say so, must be true.

  • dear rolling stones, The date of this show is actually September 15, 2005 not the 25th.

  • great song

  • This song i dedicate to Brad !

  • ROLLING STONES THE LEGEND OF THE ROCK UNIVERS

  • how the hell writes coments like that >.<

  • they are alreaday far in music bisness..

  • the rest of the band does an amazing job, if this was an instrumental it would rock but you got Jaggers crappy hardly eligible warbling's over the top of it.

could have been a mega tune

  • The song is rushed and NOTHING like it should be. Sorry but the Stones did their best work in the early '70s.

  • I have to agree with much of the critics here... In my opinion Mick is the one who puts the edge.. I have to admit Taylor's solo's was far better than Ronnies but we have to accept that he is here and we can't do a shit... I think they need more edge.. Well Mick is the only entertain Keith is just standing in the back well he should maybe be more like Angus Young and maybe do more solo's to... Would create a better atmosphere. Anyway its the stones and i still like it... :) Rock on

  • @TheRockNRollSinger fuck you motherfuckin mouth up! mick is so cuz he's so and keith too-keith WOULD NEVER be like ANGUS young or someone else! he's just beeing himself ! &angus just do this headbanging cuz the people like it and not beeing himself. this is one point and keith was always standin back; sometimes just whippin but still the quiet one! and if ya dont like his guitar playing-why do ya listen to that? keith does what he likes to do! & his riffs are great!! ROCK ON!!

  • @stones2day i disagree i both like AC/DC & Stones... AC/DC is the most natural band on earth they weren't hit by the glamour thing like Jagger.. AC/DC never wanted to be famous or live a diffrent way... Jagger tried it in the 80's & 90's he is more a glamour king than being natural - Don't get me wrong i love his style and i love him sing, but Angus is as natural as he can be... AC/DC always wanted to deliver everything they could and the headbanging is just instead of standing still....

  • @ConservativeDK and you think youre an acdc fan?? man,go on and read the biography! there angus said that he has done things just to impress the audience,it wasnt naturally,he did it just to get more viewer.but they have the same sound as 30 years ago,but as musicians they should try diffrent genres (thats what i say,) and mick is mick ,you should know that keith disagreed with micks opinion and they had a lot of argues in the 80s and 90s..

  • @stones2day I am AC/DC fan & Stones fan. Angus always wanted to impress the audience the target was not to be famous there is a huge diffrent on impressing the audience & trying to be famous. AC/DC just wanted to be a bar band and they don't give a shit on those who think they are better than other just because they are famous and have money, Mick is great but he got hit by the glamour he had a hard time in the Stones, but it's impossible to disagree the fact that he wanted to get famous...

  • @ConservativeDK ok,ok i understand and i know that mick jagger did a lot of sihit, but its all over know :) so we dont have to argue bout it,yeah? ;) keep on rock !

  • @stones2day we all do shit sometimes.... Good ide, Rock On, you too fellow! :)

  • wow lame

  • What awsome GREATNESS!!!

  • where taylor put earburning solo's & tiny licks

    woody looks very unsure

still a great version of do do do do do tho.

  • not bad. if these guys keep at it, they'll go far in the music business.

  • This version sounds rather shallow compared to the recorded version. But it is still an awesome song nonetheless, we are going to cover it.

  • @laissezfayre One thing they do with the newer songs is they seem faster, I don't like that.

  • best band of the fucking planet. awesome.

  • Not a bad perfomance at all. 2nd best after 1975.

  • eljárt az idő felettetek :/

  • i really like this song, it's one of my favourites, but it was real better with mick taylor, i think he "the" most underrated guitarist ever

  • i was at this concert ...i hardly ever get to say that

  • NO WAY!! i thought they never played this song live... OMG they must play this when i go see them live for the 1st time ever!! that would be awesome :D :D :D

  • i love the stones but this has no energy.

  • @mmarek1969 REASON being...it has no MICK TAYLOR on this track.....was his track, epitome of him.

  • Only Charlie sounds good. Mick,Keith and Ronnie...... y-a-w-n. No balls and sterile. Sorry.

  • Interesting comments, people say there tours are overblown, too many horns, production, obviously they do not know wtf they are talking about, on every tour they play several songs as a stripped down band, some with horns, and on the center stage, stripped to guitarts, bass, drums and keys. Critics, go to the show, then comment, idiots!

  • @harp1925 I wish more rock and pop bands had the versatility of the Rolling Stones. There aren't enough horns, backing vocals and live percussion used in modern dance music today - it is too over-reliant on studio technology like drum machines and sequencing that takes the guts out of the music.

  • @harp1925 i agree with you. the sones are getting old, but at least they are out there doing there thing.

i think people who don't like the stones these days are just jealous...because of the popularity or their bank accounts...ot for their talent in that case

    hey

    go fuck yourselves you naysayers

  • wow the great songs i herd stiones r breaking up 49 years wow great run

  • i kind of agree..i wish that they would stop touring,at least massive staduims and maybe smaller clubs.

use diff producers tom waits seasick steve maybe..get back to the blues..

  • I love the Stones but IMHO they started losing it around '74 and at this point are similar to a Vegas act. Too many guitars, horns and layers of voices that muffle the overall sound. One of the greatest things about the Stones was that they were able to sound loose, like a garage band, but extremely tight at the same time. That's all gone now and replaced with an overblown show and act that's just lame. Feels like they're punching a clock

  • Thank you too....I'm so pleased for Jogger he's still sooo fit, and can enjoy his well deserved riches for years to come.but that spring in his step 1:51-looks fucking ridiculous.

Please save that for your workout vids Michael.

  • Mick Taylor was better than Ronnie Wood

  • cool

  • for a second I thought they were covering zeppelin and I almost had an orgasm

  • @popomczowzow XD HAHA ye same

  • AWESOME I saw them do this at Fenway Park!!

  • I play this song! Great one!

  • Oh Mick, you know, that you are a heartbreaker yourself, are you not? Love your music!

  • @Jesusfreak773 get fucked! and stop posting your bible shit on Stones videos.

  • september 15th not 25th

  • is ronnie or keith using the wah?

i didnt see keith use one, so im guessing its ronnie.

  • is Ronnie

  • @BGvdF ..u stupid idiot..are u blind or what? take a look at 1;44 and notice that is clearly ronnie who's using the wah..

  • eh i dont like the way this song was done. could have been more dramatic with the music. its not a happy or uplifting song

  • never seen these guys live and i feel ashamed

  • @goofygoat2009 - you need to

  • why they keep showing charlie struggling on the cymbal hits?

  • This is the BEST version of Heartbreaker I have ever listened!!

  • severo escenario, great concert

  • I was there ~~` !

  • NOT TRUE. Mick sings fine and the others shred.

  • Enjoy the Miley Cyrus show. And by the way, grow a pair.

  • I do not actually think of any of their lead guitar players as less, loved Brian, loved Taylor and you certainly noticed the fresh breath of air Ronnie brought, certainly not all the oputput with Ronnie is commendable, some albums are incredibly tepid, about re-playing their old hits, yes that happened but my guess is that it was rather a necesary thing in view of the declining power in their performances, also more musicians were added to the shows (some would say, back up) .

  • lol a terrible preformance haha,

  • @LlamasOnAcid terrible spelling haha

  • `what a great band

    still strong

    still alive

    still playing

    not dead

  • @staggersu yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

  • No,this is below Stones standart.

  • YESSSS

  • God's sakes, Ronnie...put some sleeves on, you're makin' me SICK!!!

  • I was there

  • the best music was with taylor ,he dovetailed with keith. ronny and keith are too similar in style.but wot the hell they are still a brilliant rock and roll band

  • you can think what you want some other people might like andie better or wild horses are better you have your opinion and i have another opinion. and then some other guy in the world have another opinion.

  • They didn't played oldies in taylor era, cause jagger didn't wanted too. He declared in that time that the only thing he didn't like is to play old songs forced... And, yes, ron wood restored the original stones sound... but if everyone claims that taylor is best era... you prefer original stones sound? or improved nearly hard rock taylor sound? they are simply different... but i think taylor was much deeper guitarrist...

  • sonzera, cachaça com coca-cola!

  • maybe but he wasnt a real member of stones like Ronnie Wood, look at ronnie he is a stone now if mick combacks and ronnie leaves its a DISASTER.

  • man i understand you the rolling stones want easy going and party people like Ronnie Wood they aren't interested in technique for this reason they kicked out Taylor the only talented musician in the band anyway i'm not a fan of them i'm a deep purple fan but i enjoyed a lot the music they made in the records with taylor

  • you like DEEP PURPLE i also love deep purple brother.

  • Man ...a lot of negative comments here..I'm moving on thanks.

  • mrgj, you are as wrong as you are as far up your own arse

  • Oh, another bright mind to correct me, it is my lucky day¡¡

  • Having trouble with your spelling?

  • Rolling Stones pwn!

  • i always loved this track, the lyrics are so real

  • The date of this show is actually September 15, 2005 not the 25th. They played Toronto on September 26th & Columbus on the 24th and would never do 3 shows in a row. Maybe back in '72 but not anymore.

  • ronnie wood kicks ass!

  • 1. Cover your mouth with your hand

    2. Make a wish into it.

3.Close your hand (make it into a fist)

    4. Hold you hand(the fist) to your heart for 5 seconds.

5.Send this to 3 more videos.

    6. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life

  • I wanted to comment on your channel what a great job you have done, good videos all the way. I poked your friends button. Keep the videos coming, we all like it.

  • the stones are the worst best real authentic groove

  • im afraid he'll die...

  • never talk like that ever agian do you understand me!

no negative thoughts like that ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

  • im sorry! but look at him, hes gona scream his lungs out!

  • wow they suck ass at this song live

  • This performance truly sucks. Geez, Mick & Co. really know how to butcher their back catalog. Stadium rock sucks in general though.

  • Oh, they are in for the money, that is why they kicked Brian out, ¡they had to tour¡, money¡, they almost never until lately acknowelged any other member with writing credits, Ry Cooder told Keith to shove it and made public what he thought of their financial as musical greed, did they replace Bill?, oh no, cheaper hiring a side kick, greed¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡, An unproved theory says Keith empoisoned Brian to keep the girl and the band, despicable¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • your comments are wrong. Brian was so out of it and his drug busts prevented him from touring. Money had nothing to do with it. as a matter of fact, they were paying brian 250,000 thousand a year to quit, so the band could continue. Touring in 69 was not profitable, but it helped to promote records.

  • Oh, so now Mick & Keith are what? philantropic buddies?, members of the Rotary?, they toured for peanuts?, so as to sell records? only?and what is behind selling records? charity?, paying him 250 thou, out of thier pockets?really? if so, were they not putting two and two together and seeing that they were sure to cash in more?, oh, yeah kick the junkie, let him rot, wasn't he your friend?, not really,( he served my purposes), why did they not kick Keith when HE got into junk heavily?

  • Brian was dragging the band down after satanics, he would beat up anita, despicable. There is no way of knowing if you will be successful in music. Ask iron butterfly or any other one hit wonder. When the stones started there style of music had no market and they opened up those doors, greed had nothin to do with it, you play what you love and if you make it, good for you. Are you jealous? These guys work harder than anyone, a life on the road. Aon't knock it till you try it.

  • Wait, wait, wait, Brian had lifted the band before, try and read some history, he was in trouble, Keith stole his girl, and keith got the band, when they dumped him they were already royals, not striving, and if you are young enough or näive enough to believe greed played no part I'd strongly advise you to read their history, not the official only, for your facts are hazy and they do contain a good dose of wishful thinking, which being a fan, could be explained

  • Brian taught how to play the moutharp to Mick, Brian was the multinstrumentalist of the band, Brian jump started the band, what reason is good enough to dump your buddy and get his girl, and his band, oh, he had a problem, and was moody, beat the girl? I've read about it, I DID SEE AN INTERVIEW WITH CHARLIE WATTS, HE SAID THAT THEY SHOULD NEVER HAD TAKEN THE BAND FROM HIM, MICK & KEITH DID NOT ATTEND HIS FUNERAL, THE REASON? MAKE A WILD GUESS: BUSINESS.

  • AND?

  • SO?

  • What is your point, the stones had a new producer and brian got more fucked up, he was an albatross around their neck, no one will tolerate how brian turned out. In my view brian was the seed, mick and keith and the band grew out of it and moved on. If there good at business, more power to them, they busted their ass to get to the top, and brian couldn't keep up. How many songs did brian write,he was talented player, not a creator.

  • Good at business, hey that is as good an euphemism as it gets, a soft sounding name for bigotry, do some reading.

  • Oh dear, you do not get it, do you? he was fired from his own band, cast adrift to die, try and read (if at all possible) what Ry Cooder had to say about Keith Richards monetary and musical plagiarism,(Ry wrote the riff to honky tonk women) once they had control they did not invite Ian Stewart in, and he was an original, cast out because his looks, for heaven's sake, there were songs written by Jagger & Taylor that never got the credit, used him, as they do with the coloured bass chap

  • you don't get it. If ry had a case he would have sued, tough luck. Ian Stewart was put aside by Oldham the producer/promoter, worked out pretty well, didn't it. If mick taylor was a great songwriter, to quote master keith, "we're still waiting," QUIT YOUR WHINING, The stones are a great band I could give a shit less about BULLSHIT.

  • So everything is settled in lawsuits?, and lawsuits spell justice?, amazing, if you read my comment or better I will guide you "Once they had control they did not invite Ian Stewart" is that clear enough?, we do not know if it worked better for he was "the sixth Rolling Stone" and was USED many times, if they'd had the guts they could have invited him once they had control, and we could know if it was (musicaly) a bright move, for financially proved profitable, and profit is king, ain't it.

  • Believe me, if you could not give a shit, you must be constipated.

  • Mick and Keith did what they had to do, and they continue to have great success. I'm still waiting for mick taylor to release all that great material that he wrote without the stones help. It will never happen. Mick and Keith did what has to be done to keep the Stones rollin' sometimes tough decisions have to be made. As far as brian's funeral, who cares if they showed up that is a personal decision and none of your business

  • Brian a junkie, poor Mick Taylor ended with a drug problem, Ronnie had to go to rehab, there is a pattern, isn't there?, in your book a guy is only worth anything if he has continous, succesful ou

  • output, and inmense financial input, by any chance, aren't you the father to the Jackson 5? if not, I pity your sons

  • I pity your pathetic attitude, if the stones waited on brian they would be where the beatles are, ancient history.

  • Oh a bit more of quick fixes and hazy bits of history coupled with your very personal view of some fellows you idolize, who thrive by feeding their fans a premixed/predigested pap for those who cannot prick their ears or would not or want not, and that is pathetic, by the way, I did hit a nerve didn't I?, you could place the Jackson 5 father in a shrine, and you do drive people out of greed.

  • you struck a nerve with your ignorant comments. tough decisions have to be made for the overall good, that is what mick and keith have done. the jacksons? I don't know their story and don't care to. I'm sure everyone loves your perfect ideals, lets hold hands and sing we shall overcome.

  • Tough this, tough that, Master Keith this Master Keith that, "for the overall good", anoooother good one, you have so many good ones, I think you suffer from onenism, the real tough stain is the red on your neck, but worry not, dear, for your Klan cape covers it up, go on lynching untermenschen and wait for your place and time to be done, oh,and, by the way, if you are going to deal with solicitors, you will need better English, indeed.

  • klan? don't make false accusations, in this case your like a nazi, with your narrowminded, self rightous, perfect, all mighty views. I just wanna know what is your point, with your pointless comments. Seems to me your misinformed, naive and envy the stones success.

  • Oh, please, you are breaking my heart

  • thats almost funny

  • mmmm, is that almost a compliment?, if so, thanks so much, cheers and god luck.

  • Implying that I'm a redneck just proves your accusations are baseless, please go back to school take some logic and learn how to argue a point with facts, not one sided opinions.

  • Lost your apetite for tough language, cowboy?

  • mmmmm, the tough got soft out of a sudden, Logic courses, what else? broidery?, your very business/wealth oriented mind is ricocheting, no longer tough enough to consider the cold hearted dumping of your bandmate a plain necesary move, you are appealing to philosophy, good boy you are getting there, read what philosophers had to say about friendship, see if Keith & Mick would qualify.

  • Psycho guru babble

  • Hey, forgot to add "Master Keith says", you know, if you so much love the stones, so as to endorse whatever pile of stuff they do or put out or say, perhaps you could change your motto, to mmmm, say paraphrase one of their titles (I am quite sure, one of your favorites) to "Bucksucker".

  • "To quote master Keith......." hey this guy is soooo funny, I have been quoting facts, and all he gives us is "Master Keith says", what was Richards going to say?, yeah I was deep into junk and Taylor covered my mess, no better than Brian, a sudden out burst of truthfullness? antother good one¡¡¡Keith is not even credited in the song Sway, of course Taylor was just a kid, a nice kid by the way,

  • Those things you most admire, those "values" are the measure of success for you, of course you dream of yourself applying them to others, mind you , it could easily be the other way around, and you'll find your "master Keith's" behaviour as insatiable and ruthless as the behaviour of the original, but my guess is that you consider that fair, my doubt is if it will feel fair once you get the dirty end of the stick, and there lies the irony, they didn't need to behave rat-like, they are great

  • One of my favorite songs.

  • You can't keep Mick still & keith just keeps on chugging along. They have sure had the ride of their lives and given us one too.

I can't wait for their OCTOGENARIAN TOUR!!! I just might be there along with a bunch of other old folks.

    Cheers !!

  • Great comment and great video. If I'm able, I'll also be checking out that tour. Thanks for sharing.

  • The Stones are awesome!

  • sciuto01 you knucklehead. Does 50 years mean anythinbg to you. Do you think something average boring or overated can last 50 years? Grow up!

  • Listen to the live version with guitarrist Mick Taylor and you'll se the difference it's here on youtube:

Rolling Stones - Doo Doo Heartbreaker (Live 1973)

  • when i look at the stones i see an overrated band with a limited vocal range singer two amateurs guitar players and a boring drummer the only musicians were brian jones and mick taylor but they always upstaged keith richards with their talent so he decided to get rid of them

  • Isn't everybody's vocal range limited?

  • thats fucking rock n roll sciuto

  • I agree, though Undercover had some good songs on it.

  • Hey yeah, this is the Stones Heartbreaker. Now come on and check this out. Trend Reversal Heartbeaker. The message gonna knock you out if not make you hang yourself hah

  • This reminds me of someone doing a Karaoke of a great song. Just a shadow of what it used to be. Sad.

  • Yup. That's the story of the the Stones 1989-2009. Some good shows but the magic and the dynamics are long gone.

  • Great vid. But come on Rolling Stones, you've posted 7 videos! Is that it? Surely you could dig some more out for us?? And this was in 2006 by the way, not 2005.

  • stones rule suck my dick!!

  • you sooooooo right...

  • mick taylor made the stones

  • "Shine A Light", significantly - AND SADLY - contained no songs less than about 30 years old.

  • LOVE IT

  • now YOU are overrated.. 6 thumbs down is far too good for a moron like you

  • I learned how to play guitar from them and I learned it well:-)) Terrific! Best wishes!

  • Love the stones- but the later live version lacks the "punch"of the original studio cut.

  • eyyyy!!!the real name of this song is Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)

    I love this song!5*

  • oh mannn, i use to spend hours and hours listening to this song in my room, i remembre the brusels affair version or one of those, my chiken skin is coming back!!!

  • Yeah, it's missing Bill Wyman. This song was actually tight and guitar driven unlike alot of the other live stuff they are doing these days, which is mostly full of horns.

  • evverryyy album is wonderfull!!!!

  • yes

  • It's missing something....hmmm could that be Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor maybe?

  • we have daryl and ronnie

  • made in the shade

  • the last great stones album was .........

    TALK IS CHEAP !..

  • talk is cheap was one of keith solo albulms, quite a gooden tho

  • goats head soup is surely the last great stones album, taylors solo on 100 years ago is probably his best.dancin
