Paul, It would be a lot of work but you could go to the Nether and build a pseudo portal and then when you go through it, switch into a new world. It would be just like a new area. Again it would be a ton of work but you would never have to worry about missing new content. Thumbs this idea up if you like it.

i have an idea! you get poison potions by right-clicking a snake with a glass bottle and you use an arrow in the crafting box with a poison potion to make poison arrows and use poison in a brewing stand the same way you can now but you just get the poison potion from a snake to start it!
