Good tutorial for beginners, strange looking flyback though! I have never seen one without the core being accessible.
Check out the 555 Audio modulated flyback driver as that will allow you to audio modulate the arc (see my video on my channel for demonstration of a singing arc).

Thanks for the input! I think u cant see the core because it is a lower voltage transformer.
