as for the hyena and weasel cousin thing. very simple. hyenas sound like they're laughing when they make those yippy noises. nothing to do with the lion king since it didnt exist yet. the soul thing is because the soul is erased too with the dip. so of course Smart Ass gets that kind of treatment since he was the leader.

There is actually one part you forgot. Eddie and his girlfriend were in the street when they realized something about Roger. The weasels then look from a manhole (sewer). Smart Ass says: "The rabbit, get the judge."

Other than that, great job. The weasels were funny in this movie, especially Psycho. I loved his laugh.

Who else notices the special effects flaw at 9:07? As Smart-Ass is airborne, Psycho is not present in front of the cannon; and only re-appears after Smart-Ass has fallen in the vat.

I loved this movie as a kid (heck, I still do!) I think what was so amazing about it at the time was how the toons held real weapons and crashed into real-life objects....the way they interacted with people was done really well (kudis to the animation and tech crew of this movie!) and that's what made them so funny/awesome!

I loved the Toon Patrol, they were the best part of the movie and the most memorable. But they really weren't developed too well as characters. Their names weren't even mentioned in the movie and smart guy got most of the speaking roles, the other characters only got 1 or 2 lines. I wish they made a spinoff with the weasels, and make them come back to life somehow.

The weasels are the featured villains in the "Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin" ride at Disneyland. While waiting in line, there are a couple of times where people can overhear their plan to dip Roger and Benny, and you get to hear their names.

My theory:

Thing about killing 'Toons with Dip, being made out of pure paint thinners (of which all ink-and-paint-based beings ['Toons] must take great care to avoid), Dip probably has the same effect that bathroom cleaners do on stains: it leaves no trace. It leaves no trace because no 'Toon soul could last long enough in that horrible chemical to come out of it.

@MissMoonstruck Unlikely considering the film is set in the 1940s and the Hyena trio of Shenzi, Banzai and Ed weren't created until 1994. WFRR also came out in 1988, 6 years before The Lion King was made. Doom definately was referring to the Weasels having toon Hyena cousins, just not those Hyenas.

@MissMoonstruck It was done years before the Lion King. Apparently the weasels have hyenas for "cousins," and hyenas are known for laughing, at least in the cartoon world. It's a running gag that gets explained at 1:45 or so. Eddie just happened to use that to his advantage at the end.
