  • this a excellent video! may God continue to richly bless you

  • May those who say such wicked things about Ravi have the veil lifted from his or her heart and see the love of Christ. May the world wake up one soul at a time and see His truth.

  • when we are unbelievers we chased after rock stars.

now that we are christians we chase after preachers and apologists.

at the end of the day they will do you no good.

zacharias has shown himself a legalist as regards homosexuality (ie forced repression rather than repentance as a gift of grace in relationship with the Spirit) so he shoots himself in the foot as regards practical christian living.

so he has nothing to offer, and you still want to chase after him?

    is prayer that boring??

  • @Strefanasha I doubt anyone worships Ravi. But nothing wrong with admiring a great philosopher and apologist. Maybe you are talking about worshipers such as Olsteen has. Maybe provide a Scripture to see where your going about homosexuality.

  • @Strefanasha: It is all, essentially, an attempt to learn and understand. Before the argument is made that we are led and taught by the Spirit, which I agree with, we must acknowledge that we need schooling, as children, to expand and develop our intellect - think of this in the same manner. The ones who pay attention to Ravi hold him accountable to the Word.

  • A demonstration again that the Christian worldview has the best explanations and answers for the 'big questions' of life, for which we must all find answers.

  • This goes in for all our christian brothers who unnecessarily wrangle .....

2 Timothy 2:23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

  • @alsafeereqpt Good thing that providing evidence for our views as Christians does not constitute "foolish and stupid arguments".

  • disgraceful all arahambic religions are fake

  • @jayd4ever wooow ... is " ARAHAMB" from distant planet, from galaxy far far away master jedyever4 ? )))

  • @noitnettaattention what are you saying

  • @jayd4ever what am i saying? just check your reply 1 week ago and read one more time see if you can catch your mistakes in words and in meaning!

  • @noitnettaattention ok mispelling i mean abrahamic religions

  • @jayd4ever : You obviously haven't devoted real research and time into this then..

  • @TheStrataminor anyone who believes in them are simple minded

  • Man he presented the gospel like a boss with that muslim

  • A human being is a flawed one at best. He lies, he steals, he murders, he thinks evil upon his fellow man and woman, he cheats, he lusts after a married woman, he thinks the vilest thoughts, and speaks the vilest things and at the end of the day thinks he's a good person!:) He hates truth because truth convicts. Instead he believes big lies and repeatedly feeds his mind lies and professes to be wise when he is actually a fool. All he can do is attack the truth cuz it reveals his true nature

  • @stryker017816 what is evil?

  • @stryker017816 Wow! Not to give you an inflated ego, but I spend hours and hours on this topic and I have never heard it put better. May I quote you?

  • The Fundamentals of Christianity: God is a person existing in a Spirit state; God is perfect; God is Creator; Man is made in the image of the Creator(volitional, intellectual, etc.) Everything that has happened and will happen is in the plan of God i.e. He loves good and hates evil; but allows evil that hearts may turn to Him. He does as He pleases and we cannot know the mind of God. We are often lead by emotion; but He does according to good pleasure of His Will; He is God!

  • @stryker017816 jjesus wasnt anything

  • Every human is a sinner. We all fall short of God's perfect standard. If we saw God in our sinful condition, we would perish. Because we are sinners, we deserve death. And death does not mean absence of life, but separation from God. God is a just judge, He must judge rightly. But He is also full of grace and mercy. He does not will that any should go to hell and spend eternity apart from Him. That is why the Son came as Jesus and died for us. We must believe in Jesus.

  • There is also counterfeit- Christianity that goes knocking on doors and recruiting for their cults. Of course they are the minority of the so-called Christian sect but of course they get all the publicity when they do something wrong and then the whole Christianity is assaulted with a bad image (all of which are deliberate by the religionists). One must read the bible and study it and only it, in order to identify the counterfeit christianity.

  • Christianity is a relationship with God which is lived by faith. Relationship is where God came to save us. However, we Biblical Christianity Christians, do not impose our beliefs on anyone. AND I will dare to say that every other belief system in the world is a religion. Religion is where man rejects God's provision and tries to do it his own way. Religionists force beliefs on mankind. The people that preach tolerance, accept everything; even islam, but not Christianity.

  • When we Christians by faith see what God has done for us, that is what compels us to love those who hate us. That is what moves us to be compassionate and loving. Although we never get publicity for it like the hollywood actors or musicians, it is always faith-based groups that do the most help....through volunteerism in a time of disaster or hardship. We are only humans and make mistakes. We never claim to be perfect or holy. While we were still sinners, God loved us and died for us and u.

  • Friends... everyone has free will and has the right to a belief system. Apparently if one is a Christian; he is religious. One who believes in biblical Christianity, believes Christ has done all that the law demands to save mankind from eternity apart from God (which is hell). A righteous man had to die in place of the unrighteous sinner. When that happened, we have the new law which is Grace and Love (i.e. new testament). That is why we call biblical Christianity: A relationship with God!

  • @stryker017816 Bla bla bla, let me summarize what would have been a really long response: What valid, and verifiable evidence do you have to support Christianity? None. So I have no reason to believe your insane rants. :)

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 It's easy to disregard something without investigating....isn't it mister im too good to look into God, i would pray that you would search His Word yourself, rather then disregarding what you do not know

Proverbs 12:15-17 15 A fool’s way is right in his own eyes,

but whoever listens to counsel is wise.

16 A fool’s displeasure is known at once,

but whoever ignores an insult is sensible.

17 Whoever speaks the truth declares what is right,

    but a false witness, deceit.

  • @kewlazpewp Already done. I used to be a Christian.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Ok, and what exactly made you stop being a christian? Or even better what was it that you originally believed that made you think you were a christian?

  • @kewlazpewp Well, firstly what made me lose my belief was (and don't take this the wrong way) growing up. As i grew older, somewhere around 11 I think, give or take a year, I began to lose my belief in ghosts and vampires and monsters etc (I watched a lot of movies) and I realised there was nothing any more plausible about Christianity than there was to ghosts etc. The reason why I believed in the first place was due to being a guillible child who just wanted a simple explanation for everything.

  • In all respect, I do not think you can pair God with vampires or ghosts. The atheist is left with the nonsensical conclusion that the big bang has creative power - a direct contradiction to the law of cause and effect. Further, atheists must defy the first law, that matter came from nothing (e.g. Dawkins). God is an adequate first cause and fits the first law as well. So, if you want to be rational, believe in God. Better yet, ask to know Christ personally. He is my best friend.

  • @shilohrenovation You need to do your research on the big bang, because it does not imply that 'something came from nothing' as many religious apologists assert it does. It says that all matter in the universe was condensed into an incredibly dense 'ball' called the singularity which suddenly expanded (not exploded, and most likely without a 'bang' sound). It does not say that the singularity came from nothing, it merely postulates its existence and goes from there....

  • @shilohrenovation .. I'm not sure which "law" you are talking about but your creation story is the only one that violates that law, you are the ones that are saying that God "creates" everything came from nothing. Secondly, if you are going to impose the rule that "everything has to have a cause or explanation" then you also need to provide an explanation for the cause of the existence of your God. It works both ways here, buddy.

  • @shilohrenovation And lastly, why should your creation story be the right one? There are millions upon millions of them believed by many different people. Each one has the same amount of evidence for its correctness, absolutely none. The logical answer is to say: "I don't know." Nobody knows what created the universe or if it even needed to be created as it is possible it has always existed. But just choosing 1 of the many unsupported creation myths is completely illogical.

  • @shilohrenovation "that matter came from nothing (e.g. Dawkins)" utter bull, you are using the fallacy of eqivocation. you define nothing first then take what scientists state and stick your definition on top of it.

There are many logical reasons to dispute the theistic first cause argument. theists KNOW that claiming their god ALWAYS exits is unproveable.

Occams Razor supports the atheistic viewpoint. If ANYTHING has to be considered uncreated, it would be energy itself.

  • @shilohrenovation "Better yet, ask to know Christ personally. He is my best friend."

I hear that a lot, and when pressed its all about blind faith.

"If you are looking for evidence for god or jesus, you will never find it, you need faith". Thats a quote from someone I know who lives their whole life believing in a god.

Children have imaginary friends. They love them, call them best friends. It a physcological process to cope with life.

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011 actually God's Word The Bible states that the world is a circle or sphere (Isaiah 40:22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth...) CENTURIES B4 man could even fathom such a thought.....IF UR GOING TO TRY AND DISCREDIT GOD'S WORD PLAESE KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND EQUALLY IF U FEEL THE NEED TO "PROVE" GOD'S WORD TO BE TRUE THEN KNOW WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT.....

  • @humanstill Wrong. A circle is a flat disk. The hebrew world does not denote sphere or any 3D object. A circle is a sphere if a square is a cube. A frisbee or a plate is a sphere then. The four corners of the earth, the tower of babel, the division between east and west, all these show references to a flat earth. And man had already worked out that the earth was a sphere centuries before Jesus via observation and maths.

  • @humanstill "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth" There is no up in space, this would only apply in a flat circle model.

"spreads them out like a tent to live in." A reference to the heavens being like a tent over the flat earth, again IMPOSSIBLE for a sphere.

google chûgh which is the Hebrew word used in the bible. You will find it denotes a flat circle as draw by a compass. Dur was a better word, which can mean ball.(isaiah 22.18)

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011 God isn't "in" space. "Above" in space is in every direction, which makes sense, because God is omnipresent, and not contained in any one particular place.

  • @dougmoerhoffman "because God is omnipresent, and not contained in any one particular place." That is just bull. So because there is no above in space, that means god is enthoned 360 degrees everywhere around the earth.

How much more bull can apologists come up with.

You can make stuff up all day long, but its not proof, its an excuse for the failings of your biblical texts.

  • @dougmoerhoffman The claim that he is everywhere is not in the bible, its made up by apologists to avoid testing and scientific scrutiny. You hear, "he is inside all of us" or " he is love" or "he is energy" or "he is outside space and time"

The god of the bible was none of these things. These meanings are nothing but vague terms used to obscure the term god to keep it impossible to pin down and debunk.

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011: As for the omnipresence of God - Jeremiah 23:23-24. The statement that he is inside of us is likely fueled by Christ and Paul, who taught that the Spirit of God resides in those who have faith in Christ Jesus (Jn 14:17; Rm 8:9). Beyond all of this, the claim that any changes in the qualifications of God would allow scientific scrutiny to properly disprove the existence or, even, the omnipresence of God is absurd.

  • @PhillipNicewaner "Beyond all of this, the claim that any changes in the qualifications of God would allow scientific scrutiny to properly disprove the existence or, even, the omnipresence of God is absurd." why?

If your god affects reality, which you claim he does, such effects can be measured and checked. There were experiments on the effectiveness of prayer, which showed prayer actually was less effective than blind chance.

Priests love making vague claims to avoid truth.

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011: "There were experiments"

You of all people should know that such ambiguous claims do not pass as absolutes. Substantiating the claim on the basis of what validates it is needed and nothing less. What were the experiments published in? Who performed them? What did they test for? What did they ask the subjects to pray for? These are only unneeded when making statements that may have been influenced in part by another and not statistical absolutes.

  • @PhillipNicewaner Way back in 2006, the John Templeton Foundation published the results of its study on prayer and its effect on people who were suffering from major heart conditions and undergoing heart surgery. you cannot say they are biased against religion (their whole purpose is to support faith), but they did a proper double blind test and it showed prayer failed.

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011: [In response to my claim against scientific scrutiny...] "Why?"

How would you know what to study? Science limits itself to the natural and what affects the natural. The Bible starts by teaching that God created the universe and, elsewhere, that he is outside of the confines of time and the laws of the universe (2Pe 3:8; testified miracles). How would you, using Science, determine that the physical event occurred from supernatural influences? TBC

  • @PhillipNicewaner If a miracle claim is something that breaks the laws of the universe, and science can prove that it was achieved by mundane natural means, like faith healing is often disproved, then the claims are debunked.

As I said that is why priests love the outside time (how) and outside the laws of the universe (how). They want to avoid disproof so they remove god from nature.

  • @PhillipNicewaner "Science limits itself to the natural and what affects the natural." Religions have yet to prove there is ANYTHING outside the natural.

That is why faith is the cornerstone in religions. They KNOW they cannot prove anything they say. So they say "just accept it...or else".

  • @AMomentOfClarity2011: In the least, classic Metaphysics was the only discipline that was capable of addressing a number of things which were incapable of being worked by Science. For the skeptic, validates their presuppositions because of the limits and inability to do more than verify that a natural event had a natural cause. I relate it to thinking of my love and seeing the brain activity. They see the results, but they do not know the source unless I tell them.

  • @PhillipNicewaner "They see the results, but they do not know the source unless I tell them." you got it in reverse. You 'know' you are in love because that is the word humans made up for the chemical reactions in your body.

The cause is mundane chemical stimulus, the effect is what you call love.

Science can detect and analyse the cause. You can call the effect anything you want afterwards.

  • @PhillipNicewaner What differentiates one religion from anther? How do you distinguish one of their truths against one of yours, outside of blind faith. 95% of theists remain in the faith they were indoctrinated into. All religions have miracles, prayers, offerings and some form of reward. There are still those who believe in Zeus and Bast.

These are simply effects to causes that science can determine. They are simply called different names for subjective reasons.

  • Saying that having beliefs/going to church (etc) makes you religious/ in a religion is like saying wearing a jersey or painting your face makes you a football player.

  • @TheJabberwokk No. I've been to church and I'm not religious. But it depends on what kind of beliefs you have. If they are religious beliefs, like believing you have a "relationship" with a God who, if you live your life 'correctly' or believe the right things, will let you into a place called heaven where you live out your life in the spirit for all eternity, then that makes you religious.

  • Ravi Zachaliar.

  • @StrumstickJoe why is that?

  • @drey27 Well, I wasn't the one who made the comment, but I'm guessing it is because Zacharias often lies and regularly misrepresents the facts in order to further his own cause.

  • 17:06 forward to 25:30 or so = Jerry Seinfeld student.

  • May God Bless you and help you in your ministery

  • Youtube arguments make me lol

  • The prophecy of the bible is true 100% there is not need for any other .

  • Love this guy

  • I have the evidence that most christians wish they had.

I could prove to any atheist or agnostic that there is a god.

all you have to do is recieve prophecy and that's it.

I used to be an atheist so I know how it feels, believe me.

here is the evidence, just go to this church that is almost

everywhere in the world and receive prophecy.

CHURCH OF GOD MINISTRY OF JESUS CHRIST INTERNATIONAL

let me know what state you live in, and I will give you the

    address to the closest church.

  • @lizardstyle101 The bible prophecy is the answer not going to a church to hear something new.The bible holds all we need ...

  • @danephillips the prophecy is individually, its for each person and their future. GOD will speak to you about your life.

  • @lizardstyle101 Sorry but those who do this are false ... God word is the only true prophecy. Those that do this think their words are some how equal with God word. I seen people do this and claim God said and they were 100% totally wrong ...

  • @lizardstyle101 I assume you think you can do this too ..

  • Hey ‘Frankiesays’, when quoting the Bible, one cannot take passages out of context, which is what you did with your ‘witches’ comment. You seem like a student of Scripture, so explain to me how your ‘witches’ quotation is actually taken out of context. This is not a difficult one to figure out – some are harder.

  • @iw63boomer Ok, I admit that by "witches" the bible may be referring to Wiccans. I will research that later, but you havn't responded to any of my other points.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 I have not responded because, to be completely honest, you haven’t displayed any ability to think for yourself, think critically or to think through issues. You are unable to answer the question I posed to you; which was to understand why the citations you blurt out are taken out of context. Sorry, but there it is.

  • @iw63boomer In what context is it acceptable to murder homosexuals? Or Wiccans? Or preists daughters with a libido? Or those who 'take God's name in vein or work on the sabbath? There is absolutely no context whatsoever where murdering them is acceptable! You probably just can't take it that you cannot logcailly defend these disgusting teachings that came from your supposedly 'omnibenevolant' God.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Frankie, you really don’t know how to think, do you? Why would context matter? You really mean to say that you are absolutely unable to answer a simple question like that? Like I said earlier, this isn’t a difficult one to figure out … if you know how to think for yourself – rather than parrot dogma.

  • @iw63boomer What? The witches question? No I don't know how it was taken out of context, please tell me why. I find it funny that you say I am spouting 'parrot dogma' lol. But there you go, you have the right to be incorrect, and I have the right to tell you why you are incorrect, so everybody wins! :D

My source material is from the bible, where else? Do you want me to quote the verse numbers?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 What I mean is that you have a source from which you are getting the verses you spout. So, who are these directions you despise so much directed at? What I mean is, who is the audience? Start there.

  • Comment removed

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Sorry, but I am trying to get you to figure out context and why it matters, especially when dealing with Biblical citations. Who were the passages you cite directed at and why (who was the audience)? What was the purpose for levying these laws? Start there. There is much more to consider, once you have a grasp of these basics. Some of the OT stuff is not easy to listen to or take, but context does help with understanding. Thanks!

  • @iw63boomer First understand it reports historical events Not all the events does God accept. The events are History and show mankind evil at the heart. Not good. In the beginning God created all. Also begins mankind fall crimes of sin.The O.T is God showing himself and showing mankind that they are unable to keep the law because they are sinful nature. They need a sin forgiver.bible prophecy also show the future events like Isaiah 53 foretell of Jesus.N.T Jesus God comes to bring salvation.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Frankie, I have seen guy like you before; you are not new or original. You spout long lists of Biblical passages; write long, ranting questions and supposedly unanswerable accusations. You folks are all getting your source material from somewhere and I don’t know what that source is. So, answer my question: what is the source of your material? I would really like to read it for myself.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 I don't think so. If anything apart from God is evil, and God is essentially good then you can only determine what is good from what God says is Good. An evil thing cant say something is good because an evil thing has never known good, what right does it have to say what it knows nothing about. Relate this to the human being. God says the human being has fallen short and is not worthy even of life, from his early days his heart is full of evil. where does that leave us?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 You fail understand God is God NOY YOU.God designed the body, when homosexual do their disgusting sex act they go against the design.God did not want this poluting his creation.Stop thinking you know more then God. By the way God was showing what sin is in the O.T .So that mankind can understand they need a savior .We commit crime sin against God Guilty.Judgement awaits all of us.God became a man Jesus to go to the cross and died for us.We have now forgiveness if we ask Jesus.

  • @danephillips Oops and all this time I thought I was God, silly me ROFL. "Stop thinking you no more than God" Attacking a strawman is a waste of both your and my time, you in turn, should stop thinking it does any good. Well, firstly, God, if he exists, created the human male body in the full knowledge that if two gay men had anal sex, they would thoroughly enjoy it. It is HIS fault, not the gays haha. They are just exploiting his mistake (if he exists to make a mistake).

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 That laughable anal sex enjoyable means God design it to go in the butt .. The Butt is for waste going out not something going in... If two males are having sex they are mocking male and female sex. Same for 2 woman they are still mocking a what male and female sex is.Hey why is it a homosexual male enjoy a butt of crap over the female's virginia ? Because they take God design Penis for the Virginia and poluted it for a butt of crap . Sorry but that's the plain truth.

  • @danephillips Yeh, too bad there is an organ behind the penis called the prostate, which can be stimulated by anal sex and cause the man to experience sexual pleasure and even orgasm. Not to mention the high number of nerve endings around the sphincter for annilingus. Apart from it being prone to internal tearing (usually very mildly), it is more than good enough for gay men to enjoy. Don't ask me why men prefer "butt of crap" over vaginas, I'm not gay....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 I tell you why It call sin. Why do people have sex with little children ? Sin why do people murder sin.. ..Also Disease comes from having anal sex .The Average age of Homosexual is around 40 .By the way another design of God is Marriage which is between men and female only.Heterosexual is only allowed in marriage ,Otherwise that is sin also ...

  • @danephillips Disease also comes from vaginal sex, well done, you have managed to prove nothing *slow clapping* Oh well, if God designed anuses to be so pleasurable for a man to put his penis in, and for the man having the penis put in him, then it's his fault. I', sorry, I don't speak mindless drivel, please speak english!!! No.... no... ENGLISH, do you speak it!?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 True disease but the disease from vaginal sex is due to people have multi sex partners which is sin ... 2 virgins who marry cannot ever have a sexual disease ...

  • @danephillips "2 virgins who marry cannot ever have a sexual disease." Rubbish, I immediately can think of one off the top of my head, and that is HIV. It can be passed through sharing of hypodermic needles, like those diabetics use to inject insulin or doctors use to administer medicine or drugs (not just illegal drug users).....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 I you this confused HIV by needle is not caused by them have sex. HIV was born out of sinful sex ... The gay now are demanding the be allow to give blood even know now it's illegal because gay are high carriers of HIV .Why are they high carriers because Homosexual sex has birth many disease .

  • @danephillips How was HIV born out of sinful sex exactly? Are you one of the many people who believe in the myth that it was transmitted to humans by humans having sex with monkeys? Please, do some research for God's sake! In developed nations, the blood donations are always scanned for diseases, so what's the problem?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 HIV disease came from sinful sex. Dah .. You Hate truth ... you Love Sin ....You Hate God .. You Love Sin . You believe in nothing created everything and you worship yourself .You pride will be you ruin ...

  • @danephillips Ah, the ad hominem, the most pathetic tool in the creationists' arsenal!

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 The penis can be stimualted many way does not mean it good thing.Next will you say beast sex is good.Taking that which God design and poluting it is sin.Did you think the guy having sex with the 18 month old is ok?You have no foundation of truth therefore you cannot decide what truth from a lie. Will you say there no absolute truth. Then no one is ever wrong.Because who has any right to tell another what wrong,Therefore any laws are unjust if there no absolute truth. It chaos

  • @danephillips And it can also be passed from a mother to her unborn baby through the placenta. How much bullshit have you eaten today? I never said I think gay sex OR beast sex is good, quite frankly i find them both disgusting. But if gays want to have sex with each other, they should have the right to without pathetic, backward religious low-lives like yourselves nagging and nay-saying all the time....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 If you allow sex you therefore allow all other acts like beast or children .... You frankie clear Hate God and accept Gay because you don't want to be held accounable to God either .....

  • @danephillips How can I hate something that doesn't exist? You Sir, are being nonesensical hehehehehe.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 how about your friends in the atheistic world who do hate God? Oh yes They are nonsensical of course but because thye are your atheists its ok right?

  • @Megapolable ??? Your last sentance didn't make a lot of sense to me. But for your first sentance... how can we atheists hate something we don't even believe exists? You are just betraying your ignorance as to what an atheist is.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 excuse me? youre not serious are you? all those atheists who are enraged and angry at God they curse and disrespect, they have absolutely nothing against God do they..lol just bec you dont doesnt mean they dont...FACT!

  • Comment removed

  • @Megapolable Then by definition they are not atheists. You have to believe something to exist to be angry at it. Please explain how the lack of belief in a God or Gods has led to the death and suffering of millions.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 No Sir No bec Atheism is not about saying there is No God, Its Disbelieving in God or Gods. You dont believe me check the def, its not not believing in his existence, its baout not believing in HIM or anything else...Thats how STalin whos an "ATheist" can throw his fist at God during his death, bec even though he might acknowledge his existence he still doesnt believe in him. There is a difference.

  • @Megapolable No, an atheist by definition is someone who does not believe in the existence of any sort of God. Your definition is just wrong. Since the things that all religions teach are mutually exclusive to other religions, and that there is no particular reason to believe in any religion over another, the most logical decision is to reject all of them, like I do. Why should your set of barbaric bronze age fairy tales be more accurate than Islam? Or Hinduism?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 nope thats not atheism means. sorry it means YOu DOnt Believe In God! not his existence..Its like saying he might exist we dont know for sure but I dont believe in Him. Christianity has far greater claims then hinduism and Islam

  • @Megapolable ... or Sikhism? Show me how you are right and every other person who does not share your beliefs is wrong. And you STILL havn't answered the other question I posed, that I asked you to discuss - the one abotu how a lack of belief in a God led to the death and suffering of millions (leaving out ofcourse the intolerant ancient socieities who would have killed anyone who wasn't religious). You seem to be just dancing around it, like a little gay ballet dancer. :)

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Im not dancing around anything Just Relaxxx Frankie:P First of all its a misconception to think Christians think all those who believe like them are going to hell, wrong most christians dont. Second who said all religions are wrong, i was a christian and i never thought that. Christians do think that most religions have truths in them...and the answer to your question hellooooo? STalin Polpot Miao Tse tung and Mr Adolph. (nope not a true catholic)

  • @Megapolable Sorry, but historians disagree with you, Hitler was a Catholic through and through. He may not be a catholic according to YOUR definition of a Catholic, but you don’t get to decide the UNIVERSAL definition of a Catholic, and that is what Hitler falls under. He is a Catholic, you can’t dispute it. In this instance I am right and you’re wrong. Accept it.....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Does the Catholic Church think He was Catholic, i think theyre view is more important then ours...

  • @Megapolable Anti-Christian/religious quotations attributed to him are largely considered inauthentic by historians or taken completely out of context. Now onto Stalin...

Firstly, leaving the obvious association fallacy aside, Joseph Stalin was an incredibly complex person who made understanding him even more difficult by suppressing information about himself. The claim that Stalin was an atheist, is extremely difficult to establish as there exist so few documents....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 well about Stalin its almost unanimous that he was an Atheist, youre the first person ive encountered that thinks maybe he wasnt...

  • @Megapolable There are differing accounts of his personal religious beliefs but he silenced many of the people who knew him before he became the head of the communist party and he did not make any public affirmations of his atheism. You basically have no evidence for your claim that Stalin was an atheist. One thing historians do know however is he establish a new (Christian) national church of Russia during his reign, known as the Russian Orthadox Church....

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 millions of people were prevented from attending church, hows that not against religion? back to hitler he was AntiChristian bec he did exactly what Christianity forbids, murdering people.

  • @Megapolable ...and he named himself the head of it.

One may also note that almost all of the leaders of the USSR, from Lenin to Gorbachev, except for Malenkov, were either atheist, non-religious or did not have their religion documented. Yet only Stalin committed such historic atrocities. Gorbachev explicitly affirmed his atheism, but he nonetheless campaigned for religious freedom and was very friendly toward believers....

  • @Megapolable This further exposes the following association fallacy you committed: that Stalin was an atheist, Stalin did bad things including genocide, therefore atheism is bad.

I don’t know much about Mao or Pol Pot but you have not given reason as to how their atheism provided the motivation to commit genocide, and until you give a valid reason, it is still perfectly reasonable for me to just dismiss your claim about atheism as an association fallacy.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 first of all you do the same things, i mean in general atheists, the first thing they do when they attack Religion is mention the Crusades. AM I right? ok I didnt say ATheism is Bad but i do think that peoples morals have roots in religion and its when we take that out no matter how irrational Religion may be...Morals inevitably fall when people dont believe in a God, they make up the definitions of Good and Evil.

  • @Megapolable Not really no, though it is commonly referenced by atheists wishing to discredit religion. Your claim that morals inevitably fail when people don't believe in a God is baseless. you have no evidence for it, andyet you still make this claim in light of a huge amount of evidence to the contrary. Look at the most secular countries of today, Japan, Norway, Finland, Denmark etc. Their societal health, happiness and peacefulness....

  • @Megapolable ... have in general been found to be far superior to those of highly religious countries, the USA included. You think the population accomplished this by pillaging, raping, murdering and commiting genocide amongst other immoral acts you seem to attribute to atheism? No, quite the opposite! It may seem like I am attacking a strawman when I ask that but you certainly seem to be implying it.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 i meant in general. There is a difference when it comes to religion, there are plenty of religious people who are self righteous and boast in their religion instead of a true walk with Christ. Those people that ive mostly met are very peaceful. Alot of people are Religious without being Spiritual...and about those countries you mentionned, true thye have all those things an dim not saying no atheist can be moral, absolutely not but I do think religion provides that

  • @Megapolable Well actually the Catholic Church and Hitler were on excellent terms throughout his dictatorship. The very first treaty the Nazi dictatorship made was with the Vatican (technically it is called a concordant, because it was with the church), that gave moral legitimacy to the Nazi Regime. The Pope argued to keep the treaty even until the end of WW2. Look it up if you don't believe me. He was NEVER excommunicated, IIRC there were even official celebrations held...

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 but we cannot prove that the Catholic Church is a Christian, and even if it was, a lot of people say it isnt, but i say it is...just bec the Catholic Church stood by Him doesnt mean he was A Christian. In Hitlers Book, he says clearly im quoting:" The Christian God is an Idiot and hes Evil" Does that sound Christian to you? it doesnt to me. and thats only one quote, there are hundreds of AntiChristian Quotes there. If somebody is born a Christian

  • Comment removed

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 doesnt mean He s a true Christian even if the Church supports him at one point...no one is denying here that religion is corrupt, its just that atheism is not a better position

  • @Megapolable for his birthday. Of course, today’s Pope would never ever admit it, and would denounce Hitler as not being a true Catholic when asked in order to get some good publicity, but he can’t change history so it doesn’t matter. Hitler was a Catholic. That is indisputable.

Onto Stalin. You really need to do some homework on these supposedly ‘atheist’ regimes you are so quick to criticise...

  • @Megapolable The fact that millions of people were prevented from going to church is only half the story. He actually established a new church with himself as the head of it, like the Pope is of the Catholic Church, and forbade (those ‘millions’) attendance of the other churches. He was using religion to his advantage in order to achieve his goals. Many scholars believe that he envisioned himself as a God but, as I said before, his views on religion are difficult to guess...

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 there are religions and there are religions...

  • @Megapolable although his behaviour (in using religion to further his goals) would suggest he was not religious (not necessarily atheist) - but then again, he was an incredibly complex person (who was most probably insane and) whose personal life little was known about. Sure, your creationist buddies are quick to blame him as an atheist, but they also do that for Hitler, and how wrong they are.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 im not a creationist, again everytime i question atheism im blamed as being a believer, im an agnostic, i dont agree with the two views not just one.

  • @Megapolable I am not attempting to imply Stalin was a Christian, but your assertion that neither Hitler or Stalin were Christians because they murdered people is a logical fallacy known as the ‘No True Scotsman fallacy’ (look it up) which itself is a form of ‘equivocation.’ All you are doing is relying on the ambiguity of the word ‘Christian’ and redefining it in order to suit your own argument..

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 dude what does Christian mean? you know how many people in the world think Christian means being born a Christian. Dude obviously Obviously a murderer Cannot be Christ-like bec he is a killer and Christ was no Killer. Simple. Lets just say Dawkins was a Religious man ( lol wouldnt that be a site!) and he opened a religion in His name called Dawkism or whatever you name it and tells people to love each other and then he goes away

  • @Megapolable and his followers become corrupt and start killing people instead of loving them, then How can you name them as true Dawkinians? obviously they would be violating his commands.

  • @Megapolable Catholicism is subset of Christianity. As is Protestantism, Methodism, Orthadox etc... those who say Catholics aren't Christians are also guilty of the 'no true Scotsman' fallacy. Whichever one is the ‘true’ Christianity is completely down to personal opinion of those making the assertions.

  • @Megapolable I'm sorry, but you are completely incorrect. Hitler re-affirmed his Catholic views and his belief that he was doing "God's work" in destroying the Jewish people many times throughout that book, it is called ‘Mein Kampf’ by the way – German for “My Struggle.” If you knew anything about Nazi Germany or Hitler himself, you would consider a quote like that very strange and out of character for Hitler....

  • @Megapolable . He would never have spoken or written in such an inarticulate and childish manner in Mein Kampf, or on any other document he intended for others to see. You really need to check your sources...

If you are agnostic then why do you criticise atheism in such a manner? Why do you assert that we need religion to be moral if you don’t even have any religion yourself?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 looooolllll read Mein Kampf dude and get the shock of your Life! thats all i have to say.

  • @Megapolable Also I would like to point out that one can be atheist and also religious. The largest atheistic religion is Buddhism, as the vast majority of them do not believe in the existence of any deities, they simply follow Buddha’s teachings.

If you knew anything about the character of Jesus you would also know that there are some very questionable things he did.

  • @Megapolable Amongst other things he was the main advocate for what many people interpret as eternal punishment in hell (the most immoral teaching of Christianity IMO), and he also supported and endorsed the barbaric Old Testament Laws of Moses. The modern perception most people have of his character today is the result of apologists cherry picking the few good things he did and leaving out all the bad bits. If you want to do some research on this, reading the bible would be a good start.

  • @Megapolable Though their actions are different to what Dawkins instructed, they are still believers in the religion. Therefore they are still 'Dawkinians.'

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 their actions are different yet they are still believers? looolll then there not true believers are they? anyway were never gonna manage to convince one another...About reading the Bible, dude I was An Evangelical for Seven years, Ive read the Bible 12 times as a whole and studied it extensively. Much of it doesnt make sense but no one can deny thats its powerful and contains beautiful passages that have strong meaning...

  • @Megapolable as for deciding what verses mean, the Bible is by no means an easy book, most of the time we judge it easily but we forget the Context in which it was written, the form is different then most books, there are the roots of the words..learning greek and hebrew would be a good start, we often criticize the bible and say specific passages are illogical, i agree i too have seen that time and time again but i have also seen that a lot of criticism is unfounded

  • @Megapolable bec there are so many interpretations...as to character of Jesus, ive always found it odd as to why Atheists use this sole argument to discredit him, and its that Old testament Law is rubbish so by Him endorsing it hes rubbish, the problem here is that were assuming his statements to mean something when they clearly do not mean that. Jesus said i did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it it, thats the whole point of the cross and then further in the new

  • @Megapolable testament Paul said the Law has been Abolished. Jesus acknowledged that there was something unfair about it, that no man could keep it so he kept it for us so that we would be free from it, now in Christianity its the law of Love not of sin and death...anyway its a long topic and im tired of talking about this subject ive thought and studied it for so long..this convo wont get us anywhere, a man must make his own mind up...

  • @Megapolable Excuse me? I OWN a copy of Mein kampf and you, unlike myself, have obviously never even read it! you couldn't even NAME the book until iprompted you! Just like Zacharias you are a liar and a charlaton! I am guessing that you are lying about being an agnostic and a FORMER evangelical. Everything you have said points to you still being heavily influenced by the doctrine. And you STILL keep parroting the No true Scotsman fallacy...

  • @Megapolable again and again. It's as if i never even mentioned it! Even if Jesus didn't endorse the OT laws it still doesn't change the fact that the bible says they were made and that they were barbaric! Your words imply that you lied about your agnosticism. You have already lied blatently (about reading Mein Kampf) and you make assertions and judgements about things you obviously know nothing about! Like any normal creationist would! You are so full of crap it's unbelievable!

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Yeshua came to fulfill the OT laws, not destroy or change them.

  • @killerproctologist88 aaaaaaand...?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 And nothing I was just saying, a lot of people tend to get their knickers in a knot about it. Because He fulfilled them, it is not a binding law today but only during that dispensation. Now, we are under the "Law of Grace" thus all it takes to get saved is belief that Yeshua is Yahweh and John 14:8 etc. Thus, when the Jews rejected Christ, Christianity was born, and the religion of Judaism died. Thus, Christianity isn't a religion because its salvation by faith, not works.
