  • 2:55, FUCK! NOOOO! HOLY SHIT!! *Dies* FUCKKKKK!!!! D: I like that car.

  • i was having a bad day allready...............this just made it worst :(

  • those were...better times :(

  • At least they used a wrecked Muira that couldn't drive anymore to throw off the cliff. they sold the one driving as new after the movie released

  • 2:55 = KO

  • The best ever intro to a film! Love it! Love the car, the setting and of course the music! Perfetto!

  • what car does the mafia drive????

  • @cartuner9 In the Italian Job they use Fiat Dino Coupes fitted with a 2.4 V6 Ferrari engine :)

  • @kiereemon thanks :)

  • @cartuner9 Fiat Dino

  • if i ever win the lottery im gonna buy a miura and have this song playing in the car, im staying the fuck away from cliffs though

  • sorry, wrong guy, no offence ;)

  • Nice video but the poster is a horse cock!

  • Questi giorni quando vieni il belle sole la la la la la-la-la-la la la la la On days like these when skies are blue and fields are green I look around and think about what might have been and then I hear sweet music float around my head as I recall the many things we left unsaid its on days like these that I remember singing songs and drinking wine while your eyes played games with mine
  • The Miura at the start was sold as 'new' after that scene and the one that come out of the tunnel was a miura that was wrecked after a crash that killed the driver, an arab prince

  • I saw this for the first time 15 years ago when I was a teenager. It was my introduction to the Miura. I couldn't believe my eyes.

  • I real life, at that speed, the Miura would simply fly right over the bulldozer(because of it's shape).

    IT'S NOT A CAR! IT'S AN AIRPLANE!

  • I love the bloke who is just at the side of the road holding his shopping at around 2:41.

  • bet they took the engine out first

  • hey they should make a replica of Miura for crash scene and give the miura to me !!!

  • In real life it would have probably taken off and flown over the digger at that speed.

  • how many cars to you reckon they destroyed till the right one came?

  • "...Unfortunately, the Italian mafia found out about it, and well, they didn't like the idea..."

  • The foothills of the alps must be covered with bits of mid 60's classics, this horribly coloured Miura, (why would someone do that to such a beautiful car?), The Three Minis, the E-types and the DB4. For the Record the Miura used in the chase sequence was real and the one thrown off the cliff was crashed by an Arab prince previous to the production of the film, The E-Types were fully restored by Jaguar and the DB4 was really a rebodied Lancia Flaminia so no harm was really done :)

  • Now boys you wouldnt hit a man with no pants on ? - Well put em on

  • Horror film

  • Technically...The Lambo get killed by one of it's own! Alot of people don't know that Ferruccio Lamborghini was the the John Deere of Italy long before he ever built cars! How he got into building cars, was the result of an argument with Enzo Ferrari about a clutch!

  • @Iguana6699 The miura never crashed. What actualy went off the cliff was just the body of a miura. They couldnt afford to wreck the real one lent to them by lamborghini. At one point when you see it go of the cliff you get a glims of the underside and there isn't anything in it. Even so the film producers went back that evening to retreive the body of the miura from the river, they didn't find it and went on all night looking for it in the rapids. To this day they don't know weather the car was

  • @AHMmotoring Wrong, read codfather12345's comment.

It was a real Miura, it was just already wrecked and not the same rented one used in the opening credits.

  • best driving situation ever. miura, alps, and good music

  • How nice of them to take their hats off to the Lamborghini they just killed.

  • @Mikeado66 and they gave it a wreath! mafia men are expendable, there's like a million, but only about 500 miuras. (even though in the real world the lambo would have taken off due to it's aerodynamic body)

  • @Mikeado66 but why wold thay take their hats off if thay killed it anyways the lamborghini miura is the best lamborghini ever

  • @iguana6699 no because the one thrown off the cliff was in an accident prior to the movie and the one at the very start was sold as new as still exists

  • Best movie in the history of the world. the game was asum too.

  • @kungfuninja55 haha the game brings back memories =]

  • @kungfuninja55 OMG THE GAME <3

The last mission was so hard :'(

  • The best film ever made:)

  • The Miura = Immortality........

There has never been a sexier car, and one of the very fastest for its time also. Lambo has a very exciting concept new Miura prototype floating around, would be epic if they build it.....

  • Both E-types were restored and still exist, the red Roadster (848 CRY) is owned by Jaguar historian Philip Porter.

  • @nigger7 lol

  • Starring Benny Hill !!!???

  • @vassilischr aka Professor Peach!

  • @vassilischr

    Ernie the fastest milkman.... :-)

  • I wonder if Matt ever sang this song whilst driving his bus? Great song, great film, and great car. Great cars are still being made today, one out of three is not good enough.

  • Matt Monroe's best ever song.

  • The absolutely perfect way to die

  • I'm gonna find the guy that proposed this scene and FUCKING PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE

  • My fav film ever! :) The best version of the song

  • My fav film ever! :)

  • NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo....!.......please don't tell me they actually destroyed a real Miura just to make this stupid movie!....I really, really hope this was not real!!!...because if it was, I am going to have to kick someone's ass!...that Miura could have been my car!...the one I'm looking to buy nowadays!!....JERKS!!!

  • @1aceves

No. They used a Miura that had already been written off in a crash.

Had they intentionally destroyed one, would have made me extremely peeved as well!

  • @Charger425

2 miuras used apparently. 1 a real working car for the driving scenes, and then a crashed set of panels for the wreck rolled off the cliff

  • @th3b0untyhunter

    That's right.

You can see the one gets shoved off the mountain has no engine. It's merely a shell.

The same with Croker's DB4, the one that gets pushed 'over the side' was actually a dressed up Lancia Flaminia. Still too gorgeous a car to wreck. The E-Types were the real thing though....sadly.

A great film, and one of the best opening sequences ever

  • omg...what a waste of the most awesome car ever built.

  • Music: Matt Monro - "On Days Like These"

  • what the...are they mad???

  • Crazy ass road... where the heck do you pull off to allow oncoming traffic to pass... LOL I bet they have wiedened that road since this was made.

  • ... i dont believe it...

it must have been a non intented actual accident that just happened during the film..

..i can... not imagine something else..

  • I want to that as well, driving on the alps with a supercar, oneday. Only, i think about skippig that crashing and be killed bit XD

  • They didn't actually push over a real Muira, it was a empty chassis

  • The new Italian Job sucks!.

  • An excellent car for an excellent film

  • Italy is so beautiful, filled with culture and wonderful people. But the secret societies pulling the strings, who even control the government, scares me. It's all over the world now!!!

  • I can't look. I love cars too much.

  • @PressAltF4OrElse

It was just a shell they pushed over the cliff; it was the hottest car on the planet at the time (for many of us it still is!), and that's all the production company could get.

Interestingly production ended at the end of the day and when they returned the next morning to salvage what was left of the car, it was all gone!

  • O phew, good to hear that :)

Isn't this film made in the time that the Miura was still in production?

  • o_O how dare they even do this is a movie i cannot even fathom destroying the most beautfiul lamborghini ever made :( i love all lambos but there's just something about this one my heart won't let go... even if it is stripped it just breaks my heart to see that. kinda wanna see the movie anyhow tho i have the remake or wutever

  • NOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo.....!

  • heh, this is the best bit of the entire film

  • poor Miura

  • Fuck them destroyed a real miura...

  • The jag and the aston sould get a bit of a mention in this brit film. But all the cars in the film are the 60's shape of sex

  • Was that black car an Iso Grifo?

  • nop, it´s a FIAT Dino Coupe

  • ok, thanks, glad to have enthusiasts :)

  • They don't destroy a real one you berk.

At the most they show a shell crashing down a cliff into the ocean below. All expensive parts i.e. engine would be removed.

  • motherfucker murders of miurasssss!!!! :@ i cant believe!

  • if you can get hold of last months classic and sports car they take 3 miuras back to the same road, minus the bulldozer.the story of the italian job miura is in there too.

  • Can anyone tell me why they wrecked that guys Miura, and who the guy was?

Sorry, I watched the Italian Job when I was about 3. Never seen it since, and never understood.

    Cheers.

  • Yes mate...The character driving the Lambo was Roger Beckermann, a friend of charlie Croker (Michael Caine) he planned the raid and was literarlly bumped off by the mafia who didn't want the theft to take place on their patch. After Beckermann's death his wife gave the plans to Charlie Croker...and the rest as they say is history.

  • Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They Can't Have Destroyed A Real One WHY, WHY, WHY!

WHY CAN'T YOU TAKE ME INSTEAD! AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!

  • What make of bulldozer was lurking in that tunnel?

  • REALLY?! ITS ACTUALLY A REAL ONE?:(

ahh man thats like the same as someone destroying a zonda f back then:(

were the 2 jags and the aston marting that were also destroyed in this film real?

  • da fucking mafia had 2 reck it

  • gaurda che replica n è quello che pensi, replica vuol dire che è un po' modificata rispetto al'originale, cmq voi ve le sognate macchine cosi!

    italiani alla riscossa!

  • does anyone have the number plate number of this car used in this film, making a replica

  • it was areal one they used

  • yea, it is, but i need the numberplate

  • why?????????????????

  • He is making a replica, and please use a single question mark. You have misread his Question.

  • So when they smashed the Ferrari 250 in FB's Day Off would they have used a replica shell like in this film?

  • That "California Spyder" in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was a fiberglass replica body on an MG rolling chassis.

The Miura in "The Italian Job" was, sadly, a real one.

  • already crashed and damaged beyond repair

not to mention the engine is clearly absent in the one they push down the cliff

  • The most beautiful car ever made..ive got an Alfa Romeo GTV but i would kill for a Miura

  • well put, its my all-time favourite, great car and movie seen this!

  • it wasnt a real miura they destroyed it was a replica shell

  • porn

  • I love the song - it makes the scene so much more appealing!!

  • nooooo, povera miura!!! l' hanno distrutta, poverina

  • Good movie but I hate it because that was a real

    Lamborghini Miura they ruined.

  • best start to any film and matt monroe sound track
