Just saying in ODST not only have they made new weapons but they've made the vehicles better. Mostly every vehicle is faster, the ghost and chopper especially they also have more accurate blasters and the chopper speed boost gives it more of a boost than before. And all vehicles handle better as well.

It's not necessarily that Halo is a great game series (it's certainly good at the minimal level, especially the first Halo game), but it's become the iconic symbol for the xbox consoles, and when you think of xbox, one of the very first names to come up in a person's head is Halo... that's why it's such a big thing
