  • I rode these trains at Beckers when I was a kid. I'm 65 now and I can still remember the rides.

  • The museum hasn't changed in years. The C$S still travels 300 feet and travels backward to the "station. The trolley travels a whopping 10 to 20 feet, and their collection is all but rotting. What happened to the grandious plans for the transportation center?

  • @railfreek It's called no money! Now I guess there's talk again of a museum in JC Terminal. Which would be a good location. P'Burg wouldn't be that great for now. Untill the passenger trains come back. For now you need a car to get there. That would limit it to just local people attending it. As you can see the're having a hard time making it. The very young and the very old enjoy this alot. Trouble is this group can't drive. Port Morris or, JC Terminal you don't need a car to get to.

  • James, Great video! Keep up the great work you're doing.

  • Am so bummed that I missed riding it again -- such great memories from my childhood. I love that they still have a Becker car . . . . Any way to download this video?

  • The problem is they didn't get the DL&W 4-8-4- it was sold to the Ford Museum of Dearborn, Mi. Then they sold it too! Where is it today?

  • The steam engine was donated to the Henry Ford Museum. They are the ones that sold it. The engine is in private hands.

  • @Thebexster0310 The engine was just given to a City in the area of the old Becker Farms. For display in their city hall. I wish could remember more of the article in Railnews about it. So I hope someday I can see a real DL&W 4-8-4 steamer!

  • That's a great sounding engine! Do you know it is? 5* Rich

  • the locomotive is a ALCO FA, but as for the engine I do not know.

  • It's a Wisconsin four cylinder

  • Cool!

  • That is awesome. The Southeastern Railway Museum here by my house is attempting to get enough things in order to have their same scale miniature railroad up and running. Great video!!
