  • There was a major spike of lung related diseases including asbestosis among New York citizens and especially emergency services after 9/11. It doesn't take much of this poison.

    I hope one day doctors will be able to do more with the lungs, as it is there is little that can be done. Doctors may one day cure even emphysema but with silicosis and asbestosis the problem (dust) will always be in their lungs. If you know someone exposing their lungs to any dust regularly, warn them.

  • Asbestos is so versatile that it's worth putting up its few disadvantages. That's why it's still in use today!

  • If asbestos exposure is more likely fatal, why does the Government still allow it to be used? Isn't there an alternative material?

  • @AtaArticles It's only used in a very select few countries now, Canada is one that still uses it. It was banned in the UK a long time ago.

  • @Sast06  wrong.. it is not used in most of developped countries, but in the whole latin america it is used everywere under the label "duralita" i don't now in africa or eastern countries, but i'm sure it is used....
