i remember when New Orleans was hit, Canadian government acted right away sent teams of disaster control personnel down and relief and aid supplies (trust me we stock pile this stuff, millions of Kg of this stuff and have it ready to shipped anywhere in world within 24 hours), problem did arise though in US costume many people where stopped sent back home and US government got pissed at us mailing complaints even arrested a Canadian rescue worker, ya the US gov did worst then nothing.

Liked the video, but the simple solution of voting the democrats in just won't work. They initially supported both the Patriot Act and the Iraq war. There are no excuses for neither, for they did not do their job and investigate both. It is time to vote, not based upon party, but to vote solely on the issues of freedom.

The shift in power to the democratic party has done nothing to stop the rape. When either the donkey or elephant has too much power, the people are fucked. The system is set up this way so that the plutocrats who really run this country (such as the bankers who run the Federal Reserve) can profit from the political squabbling. The 2-party system ensures that the American people can demonize one party, elect the other, then demonize that party, then elect the former, continuing the vicious cycle.

What became apparent to me after watching this video and reading through the comments afterward is that, in some cases, the truth is so moving, the only viable reaction by those accused is denial. Denial without proof of innocence.
I AM an American, and I love my country. But I will not accept incompetence or heartlessness from my leaders. So I say good riddance to the former administration and godspeed to the current one.

TimeKillers - I believe there are pros and cons to both conservatism and liberalism philosophically. However, to oversimplify, Democrats tax and spend, while Republicans don't tax and spend anyway. That's where the downward slopes come from and why Democrats seem to stabilize things - their practices are more likely to balance budgets. Another oversimplification: Republicans seem evil due to a strong stance against liberal ideals (see: Wikipedia-Liberalism) by Limbaugh, et al. Good ideals, no?

Actually, the Democrats are INHERITING massive problems now. Not like Bush "inherited" a "recession" either (because he had a huge budget surplus to work with). I love your videos but this one was rubbish. It's been two years now and the democrats have had the ability to stop all the wars and intervention of the federal government. They haven't. They've continued the wars, they've supported illegal domestic espionage (recent telecom stuff), and they've failed to stop the recession or dismal dollar issues.

Also, I disagree with the assertion that evolution is the "backbone of modern science." Granted, it's the backbone of modern biological sciences, but the evolution vs. creationism/intelligent design battle is irrelevant to a lot of areas of the broad umbrella that is "science."

Liked the video, but the simple solution of voting the democrats in just won't work. They initially supported both the Patriot Act and the Iraq war. Religion is based on faith. Faith is a belief that cannot be tested. Scientific theories are based on observations, results, and facts, all of which can and are independently verified and replicated. I do not need to believe that DNA is a double helix. I can purify it myself, crystallize it, and solve its structure. Wrong. Evolution is a theory regarding the change of species over time through mutation and natural selection. The origin of life is a complete separate issue. thanks for a humble reply. Sorry I got kind of excited. I don't know where to start or if I fit in here well enough to want to try. I will leave it to you and move to a smaller more benign country where a simple organic guy like me can fit in better and where my children can let ideals reign in theri expectation for government. I'll just leave you hangin as to where I intend to go with my family.

I agree with you. I don't want my taxes going to a war I don't agree with. I don't want my cousin's husband dieing in this war. If it was up to me we would stop f-ing with the world and worry about ourselves. Sadly I'm not president. And the guy who is shouldn't be.

Are the Dems better. Yes. Are they the final answer. No. But we need to start fixing the problem somewhere. Right now the country is really really screwed up. I would like to see it improve to only somewhat screwed up in the next few years. As you can see I have low expectations.

We are being let down by both parties. The democrats voted to make war on both Afganistan and Iraq. It is a government exclusive for democrats and republicans who agree on all really important issues.

Just know when you die one day, you will finally "get it" when you stand before your Creator and say to Him "I thought Evolution was true but had no proof". Your human wisdom will be meaningless at that point in time. He'll say "Evolution was a lie and I gave you a book on Earth so you would know Me".

I see this debate has gone nowhere. You still have your faith and I my science. But I have no problem with faith being taught in its proper place: church, home, sunday school, private school... But you should not have a problem with science being taught in its proper place, science class.

Science is the means of understanding the wisdom in God's creation. It is very slow though and the so called scientific "theories" are masquerading as Truth when they are actually false because experiments are one piece of a larger puzzle that atheists will never understand.

If you want to nock science for only focusing on the natural world, fine. But if it didn’t, it wouldn’t work, it wouldn’t be science. We would make no progress. But you cannot claim to be 100% certain about anything. You have no evidence, no proof, only a belief. That doesn’t make you right. Maybe god did make everything so that scientists would find the world to be different that it was created. Maybe it is all a test, and illusion.

But then what, give up. Are you willing to give up all the technology, medicine, conveniences that you use every second of every day. Since you are on a computer I will take that as a no. Maybe the sky is green but god makes it appear blue to us. How are we to know? Is it a possibility, yes, anything is possible. But just because a book says one thing doesn’t make it so. Many books say many things and they are not all true.

The only proof worth knowing is cause and effect. The laws of nature speaks volumes to why reality is the way it is. You just don't know the source of it all. I do and it's beyond science yet it FOLLOWS it consistently. It is you that thinks the sky is green. lol

The logical answer to all of this is no. We should teach our children what is supported by the vast majority of evidence. Gravity follows an inverse square law. The Revolutionary War did happen. 1+1 = 2. And evolution is the only scientific explanation for the current diversity of life on this planet. Creationism, ID, FSMism, are not scientific theories. They are faith based ideas. This is a point that seems lost on most people.
