  • It's funny that some people actually think the little clip bar would keep the cot secured. The state of ambulance safety in this country is dismal and pathetic. Cattle trucks have more safety regulations than ambulances. The cot flying up is an accurate account of what happens in a crash. Maybe not everytime, but frequently the patient will stay secured to the cot, while the cot flies around and kills whomever is with the patient. But, ignorance is bliss...

  • actually the stretcher can release from the lock in a collision. Hell without proper maintence I've seen 'em come lose for now reason.

    And imagine...most of us ride back there unbelted.
