Same, i always play zerg but i always engage protoss and terran straight on and lose, even if i'm sure i've got enough army to win. I think zerg need more battle management and tactics rather than just highlighting all offensive units and just sending them out. This clip shows why
I'm trying to get more proficient with Zerg, as it is my worst race. It changed the most after SC1, the other races I can play SC1 style but Zerg play style seems to have changed the most. And very nice use of infestors, I've never seen them used so effectively.
@BZhubb808 after you click the spell.. either Fungal Growth of Infested Terran, Hold down the shift key, and every time you click it will use it again as long as you have the energy
Put simply with this build, it is all about abusing the terrans immobility and abusing infestor abilities. This combined with quick expanding will allow for a hefty army to be created. The terran however could have done more abusing as he seemed too direct depending on power.
@juvygenius If Zerg player go for Zerling- Muta build, it's very risky for Terran to try abusing as it's almost guaranted that you will lose all your abusing unit with or without dealing enough damage to cover their cost.
Similar scenario happened to me. At the beginning I was under pressure from Baneling bust + speedlings, after I stopped the Banelings, he transitioned to Muta/Speedling combo, I responded with Marine/Thor/Vikings, he then countered with Banelings once again, took out my Marines, so I went Marauder/Viking/Thor (meanwhile I lost map control and he had expanded to 4 bases vs my 2), then in the end I was overwhelmed by Ultras. Mutas was the turning point. How should Terran respond to this strategy
@faux123 Being aggressive. Muta-Zergling are the fastest combo but also the softest, get some Hellion + 3-4 Thors will shut them down easily (if they harrassed your base, get some turret + put few Hellion to defend). And attack when you have 4 thors and bunch of upgraded Hellion. If you excute it properly, the Zerg may never have chance to get Ultra, You can also get some Marauder or Banshee to deal with Infestor, and make sure the Hellion won't get hit by Baneling.
@aclock2 Problem is mutas are so mobile, he had complete map control and expanded everywhere and he had me contained to just 2 bases just like this video. He never engaged me directly just like this video. It was hit and run rinse and repeat until he got ultras then it was just too much for me... As Force said, Terran mobility was exploited by the Zerg player and I was wondering what is the solution to this mobility / containment issue for TvZ....
@faux123 As I stated before, if your base are well defended with 3-4 Turrets, the Muta can't do anything unless they have huge number, in that case, place 1 Thor at base and build more Turret, or you can get marine-bunker, they are good against both Muta and Zergling. After setting up a good base defense, move out with Thors (the more, the better) and some Hellion at the back to deal with Zergling. If he tried Zergling run by, put a few Hellion to defend your base, with SCV support.

no one uses infestors... they can spawn 8 marines for no resource cost and fungal growth can be a life saver

what if there were planetary fortresses instead? that would make speedling harass alot more difficult and lot less profitable.
