you should not put the ranking at max top speeds. But the accomplishment it had.

For instance the mclaren F1 had the top speed record for 10 years and is still 1 of the fastest production cars ever made. and i think it is still the fastest atmospheric car ever made. this should make it number 1 becouse in its day it was so much better than everyone else.

You may as well include the Dauer 962 in this list if you're going to include RUF, and it did 251 in 1994, 4 years before the McLaren F1 performed its actual 241 mph top speed run, which was de-limited btw

1968 ford gt40 was a low prodution car and was the first to hit 200 mph. Before you say it wasn't a production car do the research to be in le mans it had to be a prodution car. Plus I've seen one street version best car ever in my opinion

@upercalm16 Both of those cars were also turbocharged, whereas the GT40 was naturally aspirated. Lets not forget that the GT40 is also roughly two decades older, and the final mkIV version topped out at 220mph.

Modified Porsche 911s don't qualify for your list? RUF's Yellowbird is also a heavily modified Porsche 911; this includes increased engine displacement, a complete transmission swap, and many other things. You have the SSC Ultimate Aero TT in your list despite its low production - 24 (not 25) in 2006-2007. 9ff produced 20 GT9 cars in 2008, making it a production car. Thanks for your opinion.

That's because the Veyron is too heavy, it's power with luxury, it was never designed to be a track car.

The Veyron was designed as a techical excersize to prove Volkswagen could make a luxury car with 1000hp and a 253 mph top speed.

Since your going off of the wikipedia's "fastest production cars" you should update the video because the Koenigsegg CCXR holds the record at 259.2mph "Top speed inspected and approved by Swedish officials in Arjeplog Test Centre, Sweden" and production has run from 2007-present

Koenigsegg estimate the car will reach 259MPH but it has never officially been verified also I don't think 6 being produced makes it a production car.

Actually a total of 337 were built. that included the Komfort and Clubsport edition. You can only tell a 959S from a regular version really by the rollcage and the floor boards. and the seatbelts I think the steering wheel was also different on the S model as well.

The type 55 was a classic race car from Bugatti so therefore Is not alowed on the list a seondly it was never a record breaker, as for the Rs 200 it was a group B rally car and even still it was regarded as one of the fastest cars from 0-60 not overall Top speed, so if the Aero TT is not the fastest what is.

The company however was never started in Italy it was started in a region which was part of Germany which is now modern day France. Hence making Bugatti a French car manufacturer.
