  • The us government does not invest in it's athletes. It would rather spend that money on wars and corporate bailouts. Most other countries do invest in Olympians and this is why they get the gold medals. Especially in judo

  • @:07, where you going, bitch?!?!

  • SHE LEFT BECAUSE JUDO DOESN'T PAY BILLS!!!

  • @judorican973 being the great athlete she is shouldn't the us government pay her to teach or to train for the olympics?

  • @judorican973 Which is the exact same reason Allen Coage, later known as Pro Wrestler Bad News Brown, left the Judo ranks after winning bronze in the Olympics. He even said in an interview that if he could have found a way to live comfortably off of Judo, he would never have started wrestling.

  • Also, Kayla was only 16 when this match occurred in Dallas. But, I still LOVE Ronda.

  • I LOVE Ronda... but if anyone's interested... Kayla, just a week and a half ago, was the FIRST American woman in 25+ years to take a Gold medal in the World Championships held in Tokyo this year. That being said, I'd still rather see Ronda fighting on tatami in London.

  • That's fairly big .... with their stength, speed, skill, toughness and overall athletic ability I'm sure they are both big enough to put a serious hurt on most guys.

  • @wjb4341 ronda is in MMA now, rumor has it she got tired of winning at Judo

  • @joedomaster I’m not too sure if that’s the reason for her leaving judo for MMA. As successful as she has been, there’s always something more to win out there (i.e. Olympic gold or silver). I’ve read on some judo forums that she made the switch because there’s no money in judo. In MMA at least she would be getting paid to compete, obviously not Gina Carano or Cyborg Santos money, but something is better than nothing.

  • @joedomaster thats bullshit, she had a lot more to win,a bronze olypmpic medal isnt exactly the greatest of all time. She left becaus ethere was no mone and shell no doubt be an elite mma fighter within a year fom nowwomens mma doesnt have a deep talent pool.

  • Those chicks are scary ... Don't know what weight class they are but they both look big and strong, and I don't have any doubt they could kill most guys with their bare hands..... or at least make them cry and/or pass out.

  • @wjb4341 Ronda Rousey weighs 70 kg while Kayla Harrison weighs 78 kg.

  • check out my vids i recorded Jimmy pedro and Ronda rousey. Ronda at our dojo, and Jimmy at te winter nationals.

  • Ronda would kick the asses of the vast majority of men. I'm a judoka and wrestler and she destroyed me in randori.

  • Most elite female athletes can beat a non-elite male athlete at virtually any sport.

  • Probably true, but most non-elite males can defeat a non-elite female in most sports. Having said that, so what? The sexes were meant to complement one another, not compete with one another. It's called team work. Feminism is essentially Marxism applied to the sexes. Nasty stuff that divides and produces nothing for a society.

  • Lol i love when she dragged her back to the mat like " get over bitch!" :)

  • She's hot .... I read she won't date a guy if she "can kick his ass too easily". That probably eliminates me :(

But would make cool girlfriend expecially if some meat-head messed with you in a bar ... I would just step back and watch her body slam the guy, or get hold of him and choke him unconsious.

  • For that sir. I give you a thumbs up. That made my day.

I also am a Judoka and I agree Ronda is hot.

  • Jeez no wonder you can't fight. If you think any female martial artist can beat a determined man, you should consider being the woman in the relationship.

  • Spoken like a man who has never watched Ronda fight...

  • When has she ever fought? All I have seen is competition matches, which is far from fighting.

  • And what have you ever done?

  • @MPA2000 So like myself you must have doubts about Bruce Lee's fighting skills as that he never even had competition matches like Ronda has.All we ever saw were choregraphed, scripted screen battles. But try telling that to his fans.

  • @davegoode100

    Exactly!

  • @MPA2000 lad, shes not an mma fighter so obviously she doesnt fight as in no holds barred. However, wrestling and judo at elite international level are fights in terms of intensity, aggression and the determination needed to win despite not using strikes.

  • nice work ronda....nice ground work

  • thats not really anything special she did. all she did was hold her down. advancement in position is nice ground work.

  • uh oh, here we go again with an internet armchair quarterback.

  • I went to jr high with kayla, i still have some fruity monkey chick soxx she gave me :D

  • i know ronda. she used to live in jamestown and my parents babysat her. Her mom used to work at the college.

  • so who cares

  • wow your an ass

  • Ronda's clearly the best female judoka in the US. Unfortunately, given the state of judo in the US, that's slightly more impressive than being the best bobsledder in all of Equador. She's in a difficult position in that she must medal to live up to her status. Anything less than a medal and she'll be rightfully portrayed as just another US judoka who flopped at the Olympics.

  • she rips!

  • Rhonda's mom dislocated more elbows during her competitive career than Barry Bonds has hit home runs.

  • yeah, i'd hit it.

  • I love Ronda Rousey!

  • awesome

  • Wow what a great fight! That was so cool the way you dragged her in bounds! I've got to remember that one!
