On behalf of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, savethescc(com) is aiming to make an impact at the San Diego ComicCon 2010, where over a hundred thousand fans of genre television, as well as major networks and media will be gathering this July.
Our goal is to fund the return of the mobile billboard to circle the convention area on the busiest days of the con and to fund promotional giveaways to distribute with our message.
@toffeefan5 Well, most of the time, no. Most auditions require you to have everything memorized. However, "American" has little to do with this. Some casting are more lenient, and they want to provide the actor with as much ease and comfort as possible.
Wow! She's dreamy. I know why she got the part; everything about her says, "special". That what she leaves you thinking when you see that smile on her face. She lights up a room even when she says nothing!
@6y298 Brit and Aussie acting schools, I think, work really hard on their students' accents because the real money and huge, worldwide fame is more likely to come if they make it in the U.S. film industry - it's also just a much bigger industry so there is a better chance for roles that way. It's smart they focus so much on that.
American actors I don't think put as much emphasis on accents (except maybe American regional ones), because there is less expectation of them getting foreign parts.
@bluechao there are many, many American accents--Hollywood dictates what an 'American' accent is, unfortunately. We're quite literate here in the other parts of the U.S. Example: Hollywood Southern accents are generally awful--as in Gone with the Wind awful.
her american accent is awesome.

Interesting that she has the script in front of her. Is this the normal thing in American auditions?
