Isnt he just playing the conventional Earl Scruggs three-finger way? I'm no banjo player, but thats what it looks like to me.

You are right of course , basically it is the 3-finger style ,but I am not a professional like Earl Scruggs and my style of playing is much less complicated , as you will notice.
