@BreanMate the off beat syncopated basslines are all that it really has in common, reggae is largley misconcieved as influential due to the fact a huge amount of rastafarians were into the drum and bass scene from the early 90's and so shaped the music to reflect reggae, and so what we think of it now. It never was orginally like that. And as we know the use of more synthesisers in drum and bass early on led to what we now call dubstep. Like moombahton has now appeared from house and dubstep.
