Within Temptation has tied together Symphonic and Metal elements together. They put some of the best work into their live shows that stumps Linkin Park. They have not been sucked into the mainstream and make much better music videos and powerful songs than Linkin Park. That is my opinion as you said, GC may not live up to your expectations of being better than LP. However, Within Temptation overall is a better band that Linkin Park. Just pointing that out.
