Lately I've practicing on guitar, but I keep coming back to my bass, because I love it and because it stands by itself as a great instrument for melodies as well as rythms, and your video proves it, thanks.
i have been looking for this for agggggeeesss!! i came across so long back, learnt it then forgot what it was called..even considered sending you the tabs marlowe to see if you could help me out!!! im a happy as larry now tho!! :D
seriously one of the nicest melodies ive heard on a bass ever! caroline is one lucky bird! ha
Fantastic bass player! Ive watched plenty of your videos and just love your style and taste. Speaking of style and taste, im curious to know what type of music you like? Id like to listen to what inspires you.
i didn't get that you were showing it afterwards but it wasn't too difficult to learn but real beautiful. wish i came up with something like this xD thanks it helped alot
Beautiful work on the top man, Marlow you never cease to amaze me! I've recently starting experimenting on a 6-string with bass melody. I feel like I've grown as a bassist learning from your work. Thanks for sharing your VAST talents.
Hey Marlowe! Thanks for posting yet another amazing video! Just a quick question. You have been building quite a collection of basses. If you could keep just one bass, which would it be? I love the red jazz with the rosweood board and pearl blocks but the white P bass with the maple board is also SWEET!
Hmmm. The old Roots and Fifths thing started losing favor in popular music back in the 60's with James Jamerson and Paul McCartney. It still gets used but in conjunction with more complex lines or players that just don't cut it.
man, i could sit here and listen to u play all day. but i need to practice too, so since this is my 53940th video i watch of you playing, its time for me to got get better... cheers!!
you should make a whole song of this

If you ever decide to sell either of these basses, especially the white P bass, PLEASE contact me!!! ;-)

Good job man, sounds a lot like Hendrix in the chord changes, but the tone sounds almost like Jaco.

This quite reminds me of Hendrix, really. It's amazing. I'm glad people like you are expanding bass from just playing roots and fifths.
