Derek's Baby Split, was unusual due to the parallelized 10-pin. Since the 10-pin moved away from the corner it made it an easier shot with the 16-pounder.

@sommerssmith I don't think that was even the 10-pin. Looks like the 9-pin got shoved, smacked around and stood up in about the 10-pin spot.

How many National titles did Derek Williams have when he was on tour?

Derek Williams has not won on the national tour. I believe he has a few regional titles. His best finish at a national stop was 2nd at the 1992 PBA El Paso Open. I have supplied video footage of his performance on youtube.

The funny thing about this telecast is that, with exception of Jess Stayrook, 4 of the 5 qualifiers (who were all southpaws) were basically unknowns at the time.
