the best i have done on one motor without problems is 3000-4000klms but i had warranty on all motors Bion x runs well in the winter with reduced battery and range due to cold but same speed and torque
@nyronx19 You are right about that front motor BionX use to make. It never made sense to me since the most unique and expensive feature on the BionX system is the Torque sensor which was of course not working on front-motors.
Except the first bike isn't powered by a motor on the front axle :) It's a BionX rear hub motor, although, BionX did have a front motor a few years back.
No you do not need a licence, HR-727 law allows electric bikes to be used like regular bikes without a drivers license. The limit is 20 mph maximum speed and no more than 750 watt motor.
That bike only get stock in store in a long time before other buy this el-bike for $5000 it is not profit-able and much of batery waste and nothing are being done to recicle this chargeable batery....
@Sonyoooo3 not sure if you understood the segment correctly. The electric assist for this bike cost $1800, Its call a BionX electric bike kit. Those don't sit there a long time, actually quite the opposite, we can't get them in quick enough. The BionX system uses top of the line Sony Lithium batteries, they can be safely recycled like any other lithium battery found in most modern devices like laptops, cameras, cell phones, power tools and just about everything else that runs on batteries.
how long does these battery last?

@ILikeWeatherGuy We've had many customers keep the same battery for up to 5 years. It's a very solid and reliable design. -Peter
