  • Hey... I hear what you were trying to do. All you have to do is clean up the sound a bit and fix the timing. Other than that, keep it up. Would like to hear more stuff like this :)

  • never do something like that again !!!

  • It sounds like a forgettable soon to be cancelled TV show on Fox

  • come on guys its not so bad :p Christian brothers and sisters i'd rather listen to hip hop and stuff like this honoring god rather than sex and drugs and money. Amen to the one who made this. Non nobis domine non nobis , sed nomini tuo da gloriam.

  • look, i am not going to be as brutal as others on here, but i gotta say this is pretty horrible

  • Fucking shit - a fucking mess - why did you post this worthless crap - please delete your youtube account and kill yourself

  • makes it sound like a rap

  • Terrible

  • omfg very bad idea..

  • what a noisy stuff! horrible! bad idea to post it... sorry.

  • the infra-sonic sounds of the human voices, which are what make gregorian chant great and meditative, are completely overshadowed and the monastic qualities are disturbed. in simpler terms, (because I know you're a moron) your shitty remix elements stick out like the prolapsed rectum of an over-sodomized anal sphincter. this is awful. shame on you. shame on the internet. shame on talentless hacks who have easy access to a medium they don't understand.

  • @h0ah0ah0ah0ah0a : shame on you for you filthy mouth, narrow mind and ignorance!

  • @h0ah0ah0ah0ah0a Very imposing attitude. I love it mate.

  • horrible horrible horrible! what an insult!

  • Good, but the quality sucks. Does not seem like you put much work into it. It could have been better.

  • Bad, bad idea.

  • Great idea this arrangement ! just a pity that the sound is too high... please re-record this in a better way. it´s the ideal performance music for religious theatrical action !

  • Let us have a musical crusade against this heretical music! + IN HOC SIGNO VINCES ET NON NOBIS DOMINE SED NOMINI TUO DA GLORIAM! +

  • I'd like to hear this in some services, or studies. Kind brings the heritage of the ancestors and mixes it with the children of today. Kind of like Matisyahu but less regga and more christian.

  • I agree. I am not happy with the limited scope of the hymns at church. Why are we stuck on such a short period of music historical influence at mass? (50 or 60 years overall, ending about 20 years ago)

  • i would like to use above gregorian chant like backgraund music for my short movie

who is autor and who could i contact

  • al the other requiem chants are so low and boring that I fall asleep after the first tune.

This Gregorian Chant - "Requiem Aeternam" remix is full of drive and stage proof !

    Congratulations !

  • al the other requiem chants are so low and boring that I fall asleep afert the first tune.

This Gregorian Chant - "Requiem Aeternam" remix is full of drive and stage proof !

    Congratulations !

  • Requiem Aeternam" remix is a great version of female gregorian chants, better than the monks of heiligenkreuz ! for my performances this fits perfectly !

  • The beat is O.K. but its to repetitive.

  • i really like this. i'm christian and i like this. i think everyone just needs to lay off. the guy is being creative, and doing a pretty kickass job of it. if you don't like it, no-one is making you listen. chill, yeah?

  • merde a la puissance treize

  • Hey any chance I could beg the beat from you? LIke could you send it to me?

  • So tetric.

  • This is an insult to chanting because of that stupid beat. People think its cool, it makes it f'king suck. I can't concentrate on my work with that crap. >.<

  • The adde beats are a distraction. This chant instills peace and deep calm, The beats do the opposite

  • off beat trainwreck sound

  • disgusting

  • Love it!

  • QUE HERMOSO VIDEO

  • would sound nice but cant take up all cracking

  • dude, that's just disgusting, take this trash off and put up the real chant

  • This music is terrible.

  • BEautiful Beat

  • Take off that Nigger glass broken beat, from this celestial music.

  • lots of peaking and clipping, but otherwise it sounds nice.

  • This is neat, in theory, but the beat just doesn't go

  • this is a kick ass mix love it

  • Wow, some really ignorant people here, Christ doesnt care whether theres a beat in his songs of praise or not.

  • This is really, really great. You should find yourself any musically inclined friend who can really smooth out remixes, get it doctored, fully synched and digitalized into MP3.

  • Very nice! 10/10 to you freshaintdead

    Jesus is lord

  • its ok but, kinda just sounds like 2 soundtracks playing at the time. some parts dont harmonize at all.

  • que pesima mescla :S

  • Alright first and foremost,Hip-Hop as a culture has never been about negativity, and although rap harbors such things,I won't judge anyone on their lack of knowledge about the culture I live. However, there is a detrimental difference between Hip-Hop as an art form, and rap, which is something you do.Gangster rap is NOT Hip-Hop,and being an emcee myself,I despise the negativity that gangster rap endorses. This track here is artistic and should not be viewed in any negative light

  • IDIOT! ruined the song!

  • Parece que están dando latigazos a la música. Esto no es canto gregoriano ni por casualidad.

  • Hey, lay off of freshaintdead. he's done nothing wrong. However this sounds bad, too scratchy and imperfect. You may want to use another beat, it might sound better, liked your other works. EVERYBODY, LAY OFF W/THE INSULTS, it does no good to anybody. =(

  • What the hell...

    Stupid mix.

  • I love this music. It's very relaxing and beautiful. Thank You for something different and unique.

  • Modern rythm and gregorian chant ? Nope, not a good idea. This is shit, in my book.

  • it's good, did you have to beat match or were they the same BPM?

  • & once again we're bickering like 3 yr olds about religion...y? if u like the song then u like it. if u don't then u don't. simple. enjoy the song or go watch something else. i for one loved this. there isn't anything wrong with mixing hiphop and church. it isn't like it's a foreign concept.

  • How about all of you idiots who believe your knowledge of poppy contemporary watered-down protestant-based "Christianity" is important just shut the fuck up and listen tot he music. That's especially you, "creator4all." Half of people who flash about their shitty beliefs are shallow, uneducated morons who are just practicing the same thing their small church's friends did. Idiots. Nice music.

  • As much as I concur that mixing hip-hop and Gregorian chant for liturgical purposes would not be very reverent, I nevertheless think that this mix is not in the least bit irreverent if indeed the intention of the mixer was to honour Christ. Perfectly OK for private devotion as I am using today, Good Friday, remembering how life is a struggle and how Christ JESUS is already the VICTOR.

  • this is a very shit

  • What an interesting mix of modern and antique music genres. I love it

  • fantastic <3

  • 何とも言えない独自のリズムは

    個性を超えて素晴らしい祈りの

    歌ですね。

  • Not a fan of the music, but the image you have used I would very much like for myself in HD. Please can you share with me a link?

  • where can i find the original?

  • why the fuck would you ruin a song like this?

  • You fail

  • At first the hip hop thing was a lil' iffy, but I grew to like it! Nice job, man. Do you have anymore?

  • including Holidays..around the time of the winter solstice, Romans observed Juvenalia, a feast honoring the children of Rome. In addition, members of the upper classes often celebrated the birthday of Mithra, the god of the unconquerable sun, on December 25. It was believed that Mithra, an infant god, was born of a rock. For some Romans, Mithra's birthday was the most sacred day of the year.

  • @elvisheepofdoom and theres others.most of the practices of the catholic church are influenced by paganism. name a practice and I can give u historical proof and biblical proof

  • You are not making any sense. The fact that there is a cross cultural influence among religions is not surprising. Often concepts are borrowed & incorporated. Example: The Love of enemy is singularly a Christian concept. It was not present in Judaism. It was borrowed later by Budhists, Hindus, Jews. Their ancient writings don't hold this doctrine. Jesus Christ was born in bethlehem this Mithras whoever was a pagan myth with no historical reality. If a pagan borrowed it so what.

  • How is the love of ones enemy not present in Judaism? 1st century Christians followed the same laws that the Jews did. They where Jews. The word christian it self means follower of christ. and what did christ say? "Ive come to fulfill the law". the law is the old testament in which the comandments where given to the Jews. Christ was a Jewish savior. so how could all that he stood for and lived by not be present in Judaism?Yeshuah Followed The old testament comandments. The comandments that where

  • given before he was born! before Christianity and before Catholicism. I'll post more later

  • Find in the OT. where it discusses the love of enemy. It doesn't. The Psalms David speaks of God slaying those who persecute his people. Deuteronomy states "eye for eye" "tooth for tooth". There are several passages where God orders Joshua to kill the neighboring tribes. Yes, Ultimately, love of enemy is there but hidden only in the deepest sense to be revealed by Christ. This deeper understanding of the law was as radical then as now. But no, ancient Judaism did not even have this idea

  • The feast of honoring the slaughter of the innocents came from Herod killing the Jewish children bc. of a saviour to be born. This slaughter is honored as a type of martyrdom. It has a historical reality. This is scriptural. Again, the Devil is a great copy cat - from the beginning of Adam there has always existed pagan religions to parallel the one given to Adam. But Historical Scholars violate the logic of mutual exclusitivity: Bc 2 things are similar does not equal the same source.

  • exactly! by catholics with pagan influence. christianity changed with constintine. the first belivers in christ where jews.there was no catholic "beliefe" before that..and constine was a roman greek, who worshipped Pagan gods. before the catholic church. constintine made "christians" make sacrifices to their gods. Pagan gods. so the catholic church formed under Pagan influence. Seeing that constintine incorporated gods, sacrafices and music from their pagan god worship. look up everything i say.

  • Catholicism was born from Judaism. Christ celebrated passover & turned it into the mass.

The symbols from Catholicism come from Solomon's temple - candles, incense, etc. All born from the Jewish tradition. Yes, Paganism has always had similar things to copy the Jews - altars, etc. The major difference was that they copied from the Jews not vice versa.

  • catholicism came from christianity which came from judaism.christianity was perverted to Catholicism. Christ was a First century Jew. In which the Disciples followed. I have a question Why would Christ turn Passover into mass when he celebrated Passover. He didnt. Jesus was a Jew and kept Jewish Traditions which are spelled out in the old testament. Things did not change into what they are now until after He died. Show me where in the bible and in history where Yeshua turned Passover into Mass.

  • The term "Catholic Church" is the Letter to the Smyrnaeans that Ignatius of Antioch wrote in about 107 AD to Christians in Smyrna. Exhorting Christians to remain closely united with their bishop, he wrote: "Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."

Read up on early Church Fathers. They don't hold your view point.

  • While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body." Mth 26:26 This is not apart of passover. The early church past constantine's era & later held this is literally the body of Christ. Only Martin Luther denied this in 1530's. But Anglicans & other denominations had to invent the historical claim of Constantines influence to justify the existence of their church's.

  • ok your first comment ok he wrote these letters so what! that has nothing to do with anything. it does not prove that the acts of the catholic church do not include pagan worship. And about your take on mth 26:26 how much do you know about passover, and sabath? just to give you one fact about what passover doesnt include Levend Bread which in the last supper (catholic) painting. Pictures him with a dinner role..haha. Leaveand bread represents sin.

  • So it would have been Matzah which has non leaven=no sin= the body of christ. so read up on passover and you'll learn that the last supper (the seder) was part of their passover/sabbath ritual

  • And by the early church fathers do you mean Catholic? Because 1st century christians did not believe like the roman catholics. Do you know what they believed. and by believed I mean life style. it was far from the catholic church or any of the greeks that founded the church

  • by the way, what is the original chant of this? i mean who sing this. there are numerous version of this chant and i like this one, with all the female voice choir.

  • well, take a look at Rapsody Overture: Hip Hop Meets Classic: it's not bad, just weird and the single Prince Igor by Sissel & Warren G of the album can be consider a hit. i think you did a nice job and the hip-hop beat makes the chant easier to catch on but you know, i think people won't accept it soon. lol~ i've read some of the comments and i have a feeling it just likes interracial marriage, it just needs time: this thing is too new to narrow-minded people.

  • Hi

Where do I get the lyrics of this song, and that is the original composer of it?

This song was beautiful in this beat.

  • and why does it matter if someone has put a beat to a gregorian chant that came from pegans anyways? WOW. can anyone answer that?

  • what do you mean from pegans?

  • pagans.poly-thiest.heathen.gentile. people who worshipped many-gods and not God. PagN in this case would have been Greco-Romans who incorporated their gods in christianity. hence the Roman Catholic Church. In which is what is practiced in catholic churches now. theres alot more to this historically and biblically but its way to much to type. lets just say that alot of the things that the church does is not in accordance with the law of God. Though shalt not make any graven image.

  • and look at a Catholic church and count how many are in there. and thats just the first of many commandments that they are breaking. so what makes these songs so holy(set apart). when they are made by people that break Gods law?

  • or bow down to any other gods.Theres 613 laws(commandments) and they break the First one rite off the bat.

  • Gregorian chants were made by the Catholics, they are the exact opposite of the pagans.

  • Comment removed

  • @elvisheepofdoom everything i said above or below haha..this thangs actin weird or im just sleepy

  • the remix needs more work. but as far as 90% of the people that comment on matters of "religion" on you tube have no idea of what they are talking about! (YES YOU) AND YOU GUYS SAY CHRIST WANTS THIS AND G-D WANTS THAT AND YESHUA.(OH YOU DIDNT KNOW HIS NAME IS NOT JESUS) WANTS THIS...WHENS THE LAST TIME YOU ASKED OR TALKED TO HIM OR EVEN LOOKED IN YOUR BIBLE OR WHATEVER YOU READ. TO KNOW?

  • i thought it was awesome! : )

  • Next time you feel inclined to open your ignorant mouth and speak on a subject you clearly know nothing about, I suggest that you do everyone around you a favor and remain silent instead. I don't have a problem with your obvious unintelligence, but you shouldn't use it to form opinions....

  • Ok, maybe that was a little harsh, but I think you should remember that Christ came to associate Himself with the sinner, and He calls everyone to Himself, even the impenitent ones.

  • @creator4all Sure, but your opinion makes it clear to anyone with an ounce of intelligence or worldly understanding that you are a complete moron...

  • @freshaintdead I just waned to MEOW out loud and look as ridiculous as you.

  • @creator4all I don't think it matters what kind of music is used if you are trying to get closer to God, as long as it is not bad.

  • @creator4all Jesus wants us doing whatever makes us happy.

  • @freshaintdead If Christ could be proved to like hip hop, I would become muslim.

  • @creator4all Anything that gives God and Jesus praise, he finds graceful and beautiful, and not all Hip-Hop is a representation of a thug life, just so you know.

  • @creator4all I geuss from my understanding when I came to Christ I could only think about how he wanted me to come to him as I am I found artists that put there music before God and came to Him. I believe God is so understanding he has to use things like this for people to come to him, because of warped religion started by mainly Catholics and yes Pentecostals and also baptists.

  • @griffontalons&creator4all: The only warped (and I don't use that word to be mean) religion(s) unfortunately are the Protestants. (Plz don't not be angry, I truly don't mean to be judgmental, insult and cruel, that's not my intention) There are over 30,000 (around the world) different kinds of them. Yet there is 1 Apostolic Holy Roman Catholic Church and it has been for the last 2,000 yrs. I have many Protestants who are a more devout person than I and I admire that from them.

  • @creator4all no hip hop is a form of self expression....its unfortunate that thugs use it to express themeselves and i guess if u were to use hip hop to express yourself it would come out ignorant since you my friend are ignorant

  • @creator4all the catholic church declared all polyphony the work of satan himself.

do you enjoy bach? heretic!. jazz? heathen! christian rock? blasphemer!

  • @evilblades

yeah, the Christian Rock part I'm actually agreeing with the Pope on. It generally sucks whether it's heresy or not. And I'm a proud heretic myself.

  • @commissarusa hehe maybe the popes who banned polyphony were divinely inspired to stop christian rock before it started....they failed and now U2 is upon us all, God (lol) help us ! D:

  • @evilblades hopefully you're just kidding about U2 being a Christian rock band...I mean everyone knows they're not a christian rock band...so you must be kidding..yes, that's it.

  • @SheWoreLemon83 sad but true.

  • @creator4all

    TobyMac says what up.

  • it sounds good man........people think that hip hop and stuff like that is not good for church music...but if the church wants to reconnect with young people then this is the way to do it.good job man

  • lol, man I still don't get how pissed ppl get over this stuff. If you don't like, don't listen.. haha, I keep coming back to listen to it, it is interesting...

  • this "remix" suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!!!!!

  • @darkolokotrash

Agreed, Hip-Hop trash should not be mixed with Gregorian Chants.

  • PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE . Not good.

  • absolutely degrades the beauty and intention of the piece. an abomination...

  • Hip-hop is a way to get your word out,

now record companies destroyed that because they only sell things they think people will like.

Once you find a good Hip-hop song underground an easier place to look maybe you'll change your mind and realize why some people call it poetry.

  • Not all hiphop are evil already.. or antichrist already.8-)

  • beautiful combination of bass and gregorian chant....it's more of a generation Z thing.

  • I don't think this is evil, just a failed experiment. The peaceful petition for mercy to be shown the dead souls seems butchered by the "hip hop beat" with which it is forced to compete.

  • This is awful. I like remixes of chant normally but that drum n bass thing just doesnt work.

  • Err, I think its weird all the negative responses you've receieved from this.. I like this, I also like just plain old chants, but this is pretty sick. (btw, I don't think you're evil, lol ppl need to simmer)

    **

  • never dude stupid move lol

  • i think ur evil

  • Put Gregorian in Metal NOT HIP HOP CRAP!

  • Yeah, it would be awesome!

  • I don't mind this one but it wouldn't work with metal maybe rock but hell no on metal.

instruments would drown out the chants and theses songs relax you. metal never does that. Especially with all that new era stuff its all depressive and angry stuff.

  • new era stuff ?There is different metal sounds!Symphonic,Thrash,Death,Goth!Have you heard of bands like Nightwish?Tristania?Epica? When i stated metal,i didn`t mean bands like Iron Maiden,Metallica or Sepultura!

  • I've only heard of Nightwish because my bro used to listen to that type of music.(that girl has a nice voice btw)

I still think it wouldn't work just like the kanye beat didn't work for this as much as people expected

only thing that would work is stripped down beats maybe, Ive seen techno work once.

have you ever tried watching one of your favorite shows while listening to the news on the radio?

both on equal volume? well this is kinda like that.

  • wish I could hear only the Gregorian chant and not the hip hop beat superimposed on top of it...

  • Mee too! Im gonna ask him if might put the orignal chant on for our listening pleasure. Stay with Christ!

  • @elvisheepofdoom There is one in the "related" video section. What are your other two wishes?

  • I would only make one suggest, don't make the beat so loud next time. It's not too loud, but it's noticeably louder. Other than that pretty good. Four stars.

  • dude this is awesome........like it really makes you feel the music. good job

  • this made me lol hard, so 5 stars

  • Cursed hip hop. I hope one day people will realize just how wrong hip hop influence really is.

All choices of music should be respected, as long as it doesn't have a 'negative' influence over one. Hiphop mostly does, period. :)

  • lol

  • I would have used a way better "hip-hop" beat. This beat sounds like one of those pre-recorded key board beats. Like the kind where all you gotta do is push a button and BAM, you got yourself a wack beat...lol

  • I didn't make the beat, kanye west did...

  • No wonder it sucked. Kanye's wack. Well atleast to me...

  • Love this song!!!!

  • ugh--an ear sore

  • save us all from the hip hop. I really hope it's not part of aeternam

  • I dunno -

Aside from the association with the hip - hop genre - right up there with Heavy Metal in my book as an aural abomination - this is not as bad as I thought it might be. It's got a primal tribal beat thing going on.

  • this song is beautiful!

  • hahaha, films, reflecting popular cultural changes...like history, have been changing and having actors say things like that forever: "you don't OWN me' (common saying for women in the 80's for example)...

if you believe so, what right do i have in trying to correct your beliefs? *sigh*

im sure there are more ways of looking at life than just humanly or even quantumly....or even my own view. look at politics...different perspectives...one field.

thanks for your education, im floored.

  • beautiful words...honestly.

im done; no, im special...just like everybody else (it was a demotivation poster as satire)

actually, ive studied films as literature in grad level classes...and hollywood IS bullshit, like everbody else.

you are stuck in a microverse where people have been taught to believe they have no say, have no power...and that attempts to do anything about life is feudal. im sorry bud, it'd suck to be you.

peace and God bless you bro...

  • so, you are three years older than me (which terrifiies me since you're stuck in a personal fable that should have ended come 18 years of age); live in Romania..(probably grew up w/English as a second language, im impressed-i speak Spanish and English myself) and have an unfounded belief that my country's government staged 9-11.

either you are mad (a little batshit crazy)...or on the right track...still batshit crazy and won't become anybody politically relevant in history..

  • first several words...make a little sense. at times, i can feel very assured of myself and my decisions and my beliefs...which i subject to critical thought as well as my relationship with God.

maybe, maybe not...most of my decision making has been for the benefit of others; i love helping people and God just gave me certain gifts.

i didn't say you were seeking refuge from a shame; so...you make an attempt to interact progressively, and at the same time, you consider it feudal.

  • well, i did say that i have a subjective opinion-which was to point out that im not controlled like a 'puppet' by society.

i never said other opinions were idiotic, i said that if people proposed such ideas of lunacy 'like jumping down a well because they believed it was cool', id think of their ideas as idiotic and walk away.

you have very contradictory beliefs about culture; it is evil...and warped...and full of zombies...but since i don't agree with a sect of people, im ignorant..right!

  • that's call interaction buddy; or i might as well, walk away if the guy didn't agree to seek mental health help.

to be honest, id think he was an idiot; since i have my own opinion formed (critical thought goes a long way) and frankly, think certain things are cool and certain things are left for methheads and people living in po-dunk dust balls of towns.

  • not at all; i believe that determinism is one of many ways people reduce the pressure in their lives so that they aren't interracting with competing forces of the universe on an active level.

sociological theories state that people are unfluenced by their environment, however, being that subcultures exist within those environments, those people have agree to those circumstances, over others...yet, interact with their environments as how they see fit...regardless of societal mores or taboos.

  • ive studied sociology, psychology...and and getting a degree in basic Psychology;

yeah, Bohemian Grove...all that shit isn't new, it's been going on for as long as mankind's been around...right,

because not everyone can be millionaires, we are all slaves to unspeakable power...you have media to communicate; you have food, you aren't being censored by armed men beating your ass with rifle butts? good...

go to Russia or China or Uzbekistan and you'll see real pawns in a system..

  • i was right, you are a determinist..

right, im brainwashed by Hollywood...right, don't include yourself in any circle of intelligent reasoning...excuse yourself from it.

yeah, id say you'd be a fucking psycho and your kid would need a blessing and the death penalty.

  • actually, you control your brain-

you sound like every other destinationist-"im not responsible for my actions-im a toy in a big scheme"

moods don't cause violence- immature decision making does.

you need therapy...and stop giving bullshit power over your life. yeah, God gave Satan command over the Earth, by believing in Christ, you are given power over Satan....don't be a tool.

  • i used to listen to heavy metal...but i stopped because i dealt with the problems that allowed me to relate to that kind of music...and didn't feel comfortable anymore.

music expressed and influences...but it doesn't control.

  • this beat and tempo is violent??? i know that fact...this song is a prayer for the dead to find the light of christ.

yeah, i would too..; if you truly thought that at the time...you don't need christian music, you need therapy.

um, yeah...most people who listen to shred metal and the like already have problems...you don't get problems listening to it.

sorry you feel that way...but what you listen to doesn't control your actions...you do.

  • so...changing beat...tempo...equals separating people from a relationship with God and Christ??? right...i have more of a problem with priests who are addicted to porn then this representation of a generation abandoned with a condemning group of hypocrites....have mercy on us...like you ask God to do every mass. thanks.

  • badass...this is beautiful...neo-funk hip-hop meets ancient fantasy and beauty....great work.

  • bleargh

  • this is like destroying the beauty of these chants

  • No to jest super może jakościowo remix nie najlepszy bo moża bylo dobrać lepszy bit ale i tak świetne :D

  • nice :-)

  • haha yeah i agree, this song just says blasphemy and im not even Catholic.

  • Can you post the song with out the beatbox thing you got going on in the backround pleasee!
