for the big portal, I imagine Valkyries being built, and when finished, the portal opens, and they get raised to ground level, and fly out. In short, that leads to the build/repair center.
It is great to see someone making great terrain that doesn't look like it has been completely blown to heck. Ruins have their place, but I love playing on scenery that looks like someone is still proud to work there.
hi...im one of your suscriber...im from spain, sorry about mi english,:P...but i have a question about 40k rules in combat: how about secret operations ,or espacial assault troops, like spy,or some kind of swat or hidden assault troops.....i really like all this stuff..the miniatures, and painting...but i dont play the game ....so....i have a lot of curiosity for that world,,,thankx a lot...your videos are realllyyyyyyyy inspirating, bye
@payoflaco In normal games, things like that usually don't happen. However, some armies do have units like those. Tyranids have troops that can appear from almost anywhere, the Dark Angels Space Marines have secondary objectives, etc. When you do narrative games, like ones with stories or campaigns, then you are really only limited by your imagination.
must say it is nice, some of the lighting is cool too, but doesnt feel 40kish to me for some reason, think it would be something id use more for warmachine...might sound stupid, but my 2 cents. Regardless, nice work, hope to see more.
Please forgive the double post, If I was interested in getting an elaborate trench system from you guys what would the options be? Are you currently working on any trench projects? or have anything else you could us as an example? Great work there guys I would love to work in a place like that :-)
Some Kind of scratch built ships could add an interesting aspect to the scene.either a cargo ship or a troop ship could add an interesting aspect to the scene. One possible scenario I can think of would be sort of a blitz attack on the station and one or two ships have landed and are off loading troops into the bay with the objective to take and hold the command center thus preventing any other ships from leaving planet. * how much would a nicely sized space ship piece coast?
It looks nice, but for 800 it feels like it is lacking, mabye it is just the size of the pices. the wall source lighting is very very very cool. The painting is worth the cost although!
idk y ppl like OSL if I u want to create some good lighting techniques y not just go the extra yard and put some mini LEDs or something. Expensive i know but that would be sick no?
still pretty cool to look at though good job blue table
It would be really intresting to play on it but i dont really like the detail. I feel that it is really really cool but i wouldnt pay 800 for it maybey 600 or 650 but not 800
Ultimatley though, an item is only ever worth what people are willing to pay for it. So while they value it to 800, if people only pay 600 then that's it's value.
They are a business though and they do have to make money.
Liking the concept but the majority of the OSL is done poorly. It's way too intense. The vertical floodlights (as you mentioned you preferred Shawn, on the CC) look really well done but the terminals and then especially the yellow strip lights are way too intense. Really need to make the lighting effects subtle for best results. As it stands they are on par with the solid yellow in the hazard stripes which is not right.
@GenAhab Yeah, I have to say - I don't dig this set as much. The lighting isn't subtle enough, and some of the pieces just look bland (like the luggage entryway).
900 dollars isn't that bad if you have a source of income haha. quit crying about it everyone. this is badass but the light source thing, there's too much of it. looks like all the computers are like spray guns that just sprayed paint over everything. like tzeentch, dun gone and pulled a tricky prank on the imperial guard.
osl on the building lights looks GREAT! VERY nice looking. osl really gives it a night time and/or a massive on board starship bay feel without it being too dark. definetely looks worth the price tag imo.
I really want to see a Batrep on this board, are you going to upload the live battle report on youtube? Because I live in Holland and I need to sleep to :P
hey so is everything so expensive i love your work but i could never aford this stuff!

next time fill in the gaps between the pieces of foam... when painting, the imperfections stick out even more. Plaster is a way to go.

The yellow lights are sort of unnatural. You were definitely right about the white lights looking better.

well the extra $200 you could consider the labor fee.
easily worth $600, but gotta pay the person who made it, and this work is easily worth $200 worth of work.

I really wish there was a sort of continuation of that space port into the city, that would be awesome.
That conning tower is just asking for a few snipers to perch into it.
Seriously fantastic terrain. We need to see a game on their hahaha.
