can you run your windows 7 programs in windows xp i.e. if i have a game that i installed on windows 7 and i want to run it in xp to make it run smoother and/or faster, does it allow me to do that?
Actually, I just found out that this isn't true. It will work on vista or even XP. What you have to do is install VMlite and then download the XP mode installer, it doesn't matter what OS you select. Then you have to select import VM from XP mode package or something like that. Select the installer and you are good to go. I just did this for a vista computer
I saw the Windows Genuine Advantage tool windows popped up when u logged onto XP Mode. u should run it, then it won't ask again. XP Mode counts as a genuine copy of Windows therefore u will pass it. and also, although u can't drag and drop between OS's u can cut/copy and paste. the clipboard is shared between the 2 OS's, unless u disable that of course... lol

VMLite XP Mode is ONLY for Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. For computers without Intel's VT enabled.
Windows 7 Home Premium users should not use this. It says on the VMLite website.

Yeah, it may work on other OSes, but the reason MS made XP Mode avail. for 7 Pro,Ent,Ult. is because is it's part of the license.

Yes, but you still can now except you have to have an XP disk. You can use Sunvirtual box.
