  • 1:01 - 1:11, my same boot up.

  • 1.952 Volts and you didn't fry it, Holy Shit.

Takes a licking but keeps on ticking.

  • how much is voltage on cpu core? i put 1.6v on core and did not want to boot os on 4.6@Ghz tha same procesor..on 4.5ghz run fine

  • 1:45 sitting on a toilet with pc xD

  • What da Funk is that annoying SOUND?! LOL

Is your CPU cooler a coffee grinder?!

  • why does it say 1 core, 1 thread? should say 2-2 or 4-4 is you unlocked the two cores

  • run crysis with this.

  • Athlon 635 quad core vs phenom x2 555 dual core, which ones better?

  • @scvs2 The Athlon Line lacks L3 Cache although the 2 extra cores can make up for that. The Phenom II x2 has a 6MB L3 Cache thats shared across all cores.

If you can Unlock the 2 Extra Cores in the Phenom then the Phenom is way better.

  • The best cooling is a mini dorm freezer with a truck radiator on the back.

  • pretty good results, but why gradually destroy a cpu while you can get an ssd and boot ultra fast to XP? My 955BE boots at about 10 seconds from an OCZ vertex.

It's not just about boot time, especially with dual cores, it's about gaming/application performance.

  • @1wdc

Games usually have little things to do with the processor, as GFX card takes over. As for applications, generally AMD lacks slightly due to its unified cache and no hyperthreading. and a small correction, the results are not pretty good, they are DAMN GOOD!

  • @BillyJimmyLee

Thinking that a graphics card is the only thing that matters when gaming is an incorrect assumption. There are often "GPU games" and "CPU games" which depend heavily on either component. Anything with an intense physics engine or with poorly optimized scripts will require a good cpu. Games with highly optimized scripts and little to no physics will be GPU heavy.

Most of the time both are required, and most games aren't optimized for quad cores so the higher the clock the better.

  • @1wdc

You are partially right, because it depends on the direction the game developers take. Generally, the rule of thumb hardware-wise is to have a balanced system. But even with the highest clocks if links are limited you get bottlenecks. For most motherboards anything @6GHz or more will be useless because they won't 'see' that difference.

  • @BillyJimmyLee As with all technology game developers will eventually support it.

Same thing happens when Dual Channel DDR came out. No one supported it at first, and now it's almost a MUST to use.

  • dude u should unlock the 4 cores u will se ;)

  • Nice OC, man!

I just picked up a 555 and was unfortunately not able to unlock the cores, even after upping the voltage to 1.4v. I was however able to OC the two cores to 4.0GHz without a hitch, and on air, too.

I suppose I am somewhat satisfied, but I really wanted to get the 4 cores opened up! I am waiting for the 1035T to come out. Can't wait.

  • I trying out the Phenom II X2 555 Black Revision C3 on Asus M4A785TD-M EVO DDR3 and Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H DDR2 but unfortunately FAIL. Even bump up the Vcore to 1.4V also FAIL (BIOS POST FAIL after unlock). Worst CPU ever ...Gamble CPU. XD

  • 1 core? WTF, wasn't it because it wasn't stable on 2 core?

  • U probably have Helicopter Blades instead of a small dusty Fan..

  • wtf? did you put dry ice on the heatsink? cpu temp was -71c dang

  • liquid nitrogen, duh.

    its in the description (LN2)

  • What's SuperPI 1M score?

  • its very fast for a ddr2 based board - 10.8XXsecs

  • yesssss very fast Yoko

  • yes ;)

  • awesome!

  • C3!!!

  • nice
