@whathappened020 See i used to be like you, where musicianship was based off of skill. then i reliezed something. . . cannibal corpse is instrumental(like skill) is good, but as musicians all their songs are boring and repeative. I listen to heavy stuff like this but then the next song for me can be Deep Purple or MC5. I listen to thrash and classic death metal(ALOT) but also love crazy stuff like this. Song writing skill>instrumental talent. PS there wasnt a sing breakdown in the song.

I understand what you're saying, but I disagree. I think song writing is equally as important as musicianship. I also don't think that 2:16 of movie intro is good song writing. Other than that, I don't have too much problem with this. The vocals aren't for me, but whatever. It's all opinion. i respect that people like this music, but its boring for me. Not even as "crazy" as Slayer, Amon Amarth or Dream Theater.

@whathappened020 No you misunderstood. . . writing music is extremely important in music. i was talking about talent at playing instruments. . . I listen to Slayer(they are my favorite band). Amon Amarth is really boring, really generic death metal.  DT just sucks. 3:15 is just another riff. Breakdowns are really easy to identify, they are intense passages that are very repeative to create a slowed sense.

What you heard at 3:15 is a tempo change, because it was far to short to be a breakdown. i have an ipod full of metal. Lots of thrash(LOTS!) then lots of death metal(little less than thrash), Then Grindcore, Doom, black metal, prog. You have very little experience sir, concidering you like Dream theater and Amon HA, they are fucking shit.
