@renovatio1988 yeah... sorry! Still, I think that we often do not realize how great a blessing our church is and become discontent somehow, perhaps even bitter that our pastor is not as good as MacArthur or our worship team is not as professional, and we miss the point. Maybe it's just the fact that i have limited access to my church that makes me appreciate it so much. All that aside I completely agree, it is an amazing environment, fantastically displaying the love and grace of God.
@renovatio1988 if we could learn to love our neighbor even without all of the emotional spikes provided by such a conference, if we could learn to show mercy as Christ has shown us, if we could learn to praise God fully, genuinely and humbly regardless of the instruments, and if we could learn to thirst and hunger for God's Word, for His truth, and to take up our cross continually applying it... Oh how great a Church we would be, Oh what a testimony it would be to the world! Thx 4 ur kind words!
@andrewvldt yes I completely agree with you Andrew! I take heed unto what your saying concerning you not having free access to the church. That being said I think some of us are coming out of churches that don't have a fresh gospel preached consistently. And simultaneously don't have the understanding to put a finger on the problem. They just say "I really like it there! They preach different!" So they come here and get really a breath of fresh air!
@andrewvldt Non of this is to discount what you have said! Further more I think God is His providence has designed conferences like that to uplift us in a different way. To encourage us, by seeing other (and many!) believers, hear of their walk in Jesus, etc. In a way that we may not at our local church. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. But yes, if we could learn to display King Jesus consistently and accurately, when and wherever, that would be marvelous. For me Resolved is a means to that!

I cannot think of anything closer to heaven on earth than Resolved. The worship, the teaching, the love, and the fellowship is just purely amazing.
