i disagree with cedric saying bob dylan is obvious or straightforward. many of his lyrics are extremely interpretable and poetic, a good example being "Absolutely Sweet Marie".

I love TMV but i have to take issue with that, simple songs? i know he has simple songs but i mean Visions of Johanna is not a simple song lyrically. I mean Dylan himself says he doesn't even know what most of his songs mean! How can that song be simple?

Agreed I love TMV as well but Dylan is a lyrical genius. Plus being from Minnesota insulting one of my own is not cool. As far as them not copying Omars playing sounds very much like Robert Fripp, and his legato's are very much like Jimmy Page and John Frusciante.
