@TheReelmurray I am a military personnel myself, and have taken the oath to defend the Constitution. I do believe that Ron Paul is the politician most faithful to the Constitution, and I support his campaign. However, one of our nation's principles is civilian control of the military, with a civilian Commander in Chief. I don't think it's a good idea to use the military image to influence elections. I want our votes counted, but they don't hold more or less weight because I wear the uniform.

When you wear that uniform people pay attention and can make assumptions based off your actions (like the soldiers want to come home). Your personal opinions as to "what inspired the law" or "justifies the law" do not come into place on this subject. So, cite the regs all you want.. it means nothing.

@poorandimmature He/we are allowed our first amendment right. We can publicly support political candidates. But if we do them in uniform that is not allowed and is highly irresponsible. He has earned his court marshal. For him, as a reservist (or an active duty soldier for that matter), to put on his uniform and go up on stage like that is wrong and he knew better than to do it.

@Kappa105 The fact that you think Americans give two shits about Finland, if you had a history of being Vikings or not is not about intelligence is about the fact you are too small for us to give a shit about. Just as in 1939 during the Russo-Finnish war when your neighbors were too balless to intervene the U.S. simply does not even care. As far as American history is concerned and its people WWII did not even start until the invasion of France.

I never said all Americans are stupid, I was just pointing out that you are one of the stupid ones, and that wasting money on useless crap isn't what I call smart. Finland may not be wealthy as a country, but we take good care of our own things.

@Kappa105 And by the way, I find it pretty funny how you say America didn't care about Finland in WW2. That may be true, but how do you explain all the propaganda about Finland having to fight the Soviets alone? Sweden sent more help than any other country. Although it could and perhaps should have been more, it helped. And exactly what you said about Americans caring only about american history, is a perfect example of some of your people being stupid and far too self-centered.

@Kappa105 I love Finland! I've been learning Finnish for over a year and a half :) and I'm an American who's never been there. There are many moron Americans who think there's nothing outside of the U.S. And I have my own views against the U.S going into so many other countries business. Props to you though, Finland is a great country with great people. Don't let the Americans hung up on Redneck country music patriotism give you a bad taste.
