Kudos to Rolling Thunder!  Shame on opportunist Sarah Palin pulling the Trump card in trying to get media attention. Rolling Thunder spokesman (Shpak) said that Palin was a “big distraction” from their mission of trying to bring awareness to prisoner of war/missing in action issues. She was not invited and they do not endorse anyone. The Palin tour is a corporate-sponsored Obama-bashing tour and nothing else -a mini tea party on wheels.

It is an emotional ride every year here in Wash, DC. It is an honor to ride with them. There are no greater heroes. . Whether you ride with them or stand on the sidewalk and cheer for them you are good citizens who aren't afraid to cry a little or a lot for the vets who made it home and those who didn't.

@6corks It is estimated that about 400,000 bikes were there. It is hard to get an accuate count though. If you have never gone it is a sight to see. From what I have read it was a three hour procession.
