You dont read the comics do you? Eddie brock was a body builder frame, which got larger from venom. In some comic's depending on the artist, hes like, hulk sized almost. If you are basing it off the 90's show, thats only one media which is a poor descriptor.

venom at :20 seconds looks really cool, but not as terrifying as the movie. I see the diiference between the teaser and the official opening shot, the teaser venom looks like a barricuda fused with the symbiote, but its got an Army OF Darness look to it, very Sam Raimi compared to the official.

Fourth movie should have the Vulture starring Ben Kingsley as Vulture. I think the villians should be played by older, more seasoned actors, just like the first two. For some reason, the younger actors in the third movie (Grace and that Sandman guy) didn't carry the same level of intrigue, sophistication, and emotional distraught as Defoe and Molina were in Spiderman 1 and 2.
