No, it's not! As I've said, there are videos of people actually doing it, with RC planes, so search and see for yourself. You have to use the rudder and elevator to control the plane.

@dizauda Because a real plane is simply not powerful enough. Also the control surfaces throws are usually smaller. Also, a real plane simply can not take the huge forces on a landing like this. Would fall apart like a glass bottle. When the pilot is in the plane, is totally different. When you are watching from the ground, you have a clear view from outside and you know what to do. But when you are inside, it is totally different.

Im not saying this vid is real as I dont think this one is, however, it is not impossible these kind of aircraft can pull off these stunts, but I agree the undercarrage would of collapsed and he would have rotated onto the heavier side, messier landing but survivable

actually for the sceptics this is possible, the move is called a knife edge as this kind of aircraft has large surface areas and a large direction of travel & low wing loading the excellent quick thinking worked for this pilot, using his tail and rudder as his wing and elevator and his wing as his rudder and tail rotating round at the last moment to drop her hard in. not fake just very skilled flying, look around the web and think of the aerodynamics. this is possible....

The weight of this aircraft accompanied with the structural integrity of the landing gear would have, in a landing such as this (critical roll and high impact) would have caused the landing gear to fail, first the left main, then the right. The "bounce" upon landing was the reaction of a very light RC, not a GA aircraft; there's no comparison. Also, the missing wing at the end of this video of the plane has been removed mechanically. Overall, this was a fun video to watch. Well done.
