  • 4:27 is my favorite thing in any of Todd's reviews.

  • Thank you for that. "90s Batman" joke. I feel the same damn way.

  • "Jay 's earliest hits were flavorful." Oh my god! I should look them up! :D

"But it's also TERRIBLE!" Oh my GOD!! MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!! D:<

  • YEAAAAAH! SWAN LAKE!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm printing out that Free Lil Wayne Cameo card. Never hurts to be prepared.

  • George Clooney was the best Batman!

  • @dinggledoser *sneezes* Im sorry, Im allergic to bullshit. Lol.

  • @TheMykcal then dont type bullshit comments

  • @dinggledoser Its a reference to I, Robot (the movie with Will Smith). Relax.

  • @TheMykcal wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-

  • @dinggledoser Lmao. Ric Flair reference. :D

  • The only thing I ever remember about lil John to this day is: OH YEAH! and OK!

Not joking and for a while I had no idea who had said that....

  • @LadyCorsaires What about 'WHAT!?"

  • "..., and since he's used up his one 'free collaboration with Lil' Wayne' card..."

That wasn't the end of them, as they have now been on the same song 4 TIMES. Down, I Made It, That Ain't Me, and Hit the Lights. Who else has collabarated together so many times in a frame of about 2 years?

  • Sounds more like Forever by Chris Brown

  • Comment removed

  • 8D Lil' Wayne, the Human Lizard

  • NUUUUUUUTHHHHIIIIIING!

  • Jay Sean looked much better with long, shaggy hair. :D

  • YEAH

    SWAN LAKE

  • I'm looking at the title and him dancing in the water hydrant and I immediately think "Ok you're rippin off Micheal Jackson's Remember the Time"

  • "YEAH! SWAN LAKE!" My new catchphrase.

  • That moment when you realized that most of Lady GaGa's hits are the same tempo.

  • I easily liked Do You Remember better than Down

  • I would probably actually go out of my way to see ballets if Lil Jon actually did that XD

  • You know, I never really thought about it before, but... Sean Paul really was the saving grace of this song. Every time this song came up, I'd just wait for the Sean Paul section. And then attempt to rap along with it; unfortunately, I couldn't understand half of what he was saying, so... as fun as it was, it was a little short lived.

  • a song about nothing..... that reminds me of a show about nothing.... sinfeld anyone?

  • i hate pop and even i like sean paul.

  • I have this song on my iPod, but I barely listen to it.

  • 2:57 Nathan Explosion!!!

    NOTHING!!!!!!

  • "Do You Remember" reminds me of "How Do You Sleep" by Jesse McCartney more than it does "Down". In fact, I thought this WAS "How Do You Sleep" at first.

  • "YEAH! SWAN LAKE!" made my evening XD

Btw, does anyone know the name and artist of the credits song?? I remember it has a Super Mario-themed video and I've seen it years ago, but I can't find it from pure memory!

  • @AjnosFTW Get low by lil john :) such a tuuuuune

  • Oh God, this review was funny.

  • Lol, he sounds like the cookie monster aftr a visectimie

  • Interesting that you should use the community chest card. All I could think about when hearing this song was the fact that the synth-strings sound ripped from the video game Monopoly Tycoon.

  • Am I the only one who imagines Lil Jon as a hobo who just wandered on set and started shouting?

  • Jay Sean looks like FadedHolySoldier

  • I think lil Jon just edited his voice onto this song, and kinda walked onto the set of the video.

  • You know, I just wondered, what IS Sean Paul saying?

  • @mcg413 Well, when you put the video in slow-mo, he sounds quite clear. I must say...it sums up to reliving happier moments, pathetic metaphors, getting a girl drunk for affection, and then gibberish. Good old Sean!

  • Dis song do u remember reminds me if Chris browns song forever or something Like that and the video kinda looks like micheal jacksons video the way you make me feel

  • Lil Jon actually does pretty good in Lovers and Friends in my opinion. The other song after they did Yeah together.

  • Sean Paul is awesome.

  • why is no one in the universe aware that this chorus is identical to "club can't handle me?" not even Todd in his review of that song?

  • lol "YEAH!!! SWAN LAKE!!!"

  • whats the song at 4:21?

  • @BassSinger313: Ugh..."Let's Go."

  • The way that Jay Sean and Lil' Jon echo the phrase "Bring it back" reminds me of "Take it back" by Reba McEntire.

  • Wow. It's weird. I just went and listened to both 'Down' and 'Do You Remember' and I found Down so boring and lacking in energy that it put me to sleep, but I actually kind of like Do You Remember. Maybe it is having Li'l Jon shout at me that does it. Who knows? Maybe it was just my speakers getting weird volume from Youtube.

Still one of my favourite reviews of yours, Todd.

  • @Badgersprite making you sleepy? yeah i hear ya. I sometimes put a mixed cd together for when I'm sleeping (I like to dose off with music) aaaand down was one of those. let's say that they're not good to listen to, but great to sleep to ^^

  • Ten Bob Dylan albums in one...

I'm trying not to imagine that. I'm sure the music would be angelic and the lyrics would give Einstein a raging brainer, but the vocals would sound like a sandblaster in the ear...

  • So it's the Seinfeld of songs?

  • Each Jay Sean song is pretty much the same as the last with a couple minor variations in melody and lyrics. His last song to hit the radio is the same as his first 2 singles except 10x worse. It's like a never-ending descent into an abyss of generic pop music.

  • nice death metal growl at 2:58-3:00

  • History would no longer be my worst subject if Sean Paul rapped the Preamble. 8D

  • @StaticFactory23 He needs to make a rap for every high school subject to make kids do better :D

  • @StaticFactory23 ...you would be able to understand him?

  • Awesome, Metalocalypse reference :D

  • I love that part about Sean Paul rapping the preamble. He should totally do it! You know it'd be awesome.

  • It's also the same song as the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling".

  • The song sounds similar to Forever by Chris Brown

  • @lamareikan666

Yeah, Todd said this song was basically a cover of Down and he said in his review of Down that Down was basically a cover of Forever. So this song is a cover of a cover of Forever.

  • Holy shit I just almost choked swallowing my chocolate oatmilk the wrong way because of that "YEAHH! SWAN LAYHKE!!" bit. :'D

  • just curious, why does everyone pronounce punjabi as poonjabi (as hilarious as tht sounds to me at least)? its pronounced PUN jabi

  • YE-YAH! SWAN LAYKE!

  • Yeah I agree I didn't like that song I liked down more it better so live down out of it, u have know right to be talking shit about his personal life!

  • i think its better that he doesn't specify what kind of Ex that way it's just a general "Do you remember?" to anyone. just my opinion :)

  • Did you just imply that Michael Keaton sucked? I mean Val Kilmer and Clooney YES, but Keaton IS Batman. FUUUUUCKKKKKK

    /NERD RAGE.

  • @einsteinslies I'm sure the fact that he showed only a picture of Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, and George Clooney means he was only talking about Kilmer and Clooney.

  • YEAAAYUHH, SWAN LAKEEE

  • lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that "Yeah! Swan Lake" was hysterical. I had to back it up and watch it 3 times it was so fantastic.

  • Well this song does sound like chris brown's forever in some parts....so weird

  • @liayuki29 I wanna say it, but I've said it so much that I don't want to anymore...

  • @DemonicRemption say what?

  • @liayuki29 There is a song by my favorite Metal band Disturbed called "Sons Of Plunder" where the first few lines are:"You say you've found yourself a new sound. The Sh!t's loaded, and we're ready to go. Sound's a bit too much like the old sound. Already heard it for the hundredth time." That comes to mind every time I here the same set of lyrics, or sound in a pop or mainstream rap song.

  • @DemonicRemption oh cool nice

  • I dont know but you kid of sound similiar to Jason Segel.Thats not a bad thing by the waylol

  • todd, i love your reviews but with all due respect, jay sean worked really hard to get where he is now all the way from the UK. and out of every artist you've reviewed, he sounds GOOD when he's live. in my opinion, i respect him. althought lil jon...i think i agree with you xD

  • LOL!!!!!!!!! @ the swan lake part

    You're awesome Todd XD

  • that Preamble to the Constitution bit was so freaking funny man

  • if you weren't so funny i'd stop watching you for your blaspheming of the name of Dylan (all i can say is better than black eyed peas!)

  • This is hilarious XD Also, Am I the only one who thinks this? For some strange reason, the parts of the video where he's with the girl standing in front of the fountain remind me of the video for "The Way you make me feel"

  • Damn, now I wanna go listen to Sean Paul.

  • I think Sean Paul is singing extremely racist things, and that's why he makes sure not to let you understand him.

  • You get a thumbs up simply for the Dethklok reference

  • What was that "Metal" song with Lil Jon?

  • @NecroZeno "Let's Go" by Trick Daddy f/Twista & Lil Jon

  • "YEAH! SWAN LAKE!".....you made me hit the pause button..congratulations

  • "YEAH, SWAN LAKE!"

Yeah, I'm like the third peson who's said this, but it's still funny.

  • Hello darkness, my old friend

I've come to talk with you again

    Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

    Still remains

    Within the sound of YEEEAAWH

  • @Hepathos LMFAO I can hear it so clearly!! :'(

  • rofl "YAYUH! SWAN LAKE!"

  • Hey Batman Returns was awesome! Yeah there were more villains(not quite as good as the first but still pretty strong), but Michael Keaton was still great.

  • Jay Sean can answer your questions... but then he'd have to kill you.

Ahh, but seriously, you're a great reviewer! Funny, and poignant ^_^

  • I keep expecting Sean to sing "the very first night of September".

    I'm kinda glad he doesn't.

  • Idk why, but this "Do You Remember" sounds like Chris Brown's "Forever"

  • I have not laughed as hard as I have to your Sean Paul singing the Constitution.

You are a funny, funny bastard my friend.

  • WHAT?! OKAY!!! YEAH, I liked this review.

  • I think this is "PianoChatImprov"

  • I swear to God, every single time I hear Sean Paul, I think he's singing in another langauge. It was only in this song where I actually caught about three words in somewhat understandable English, that I started to wonder if he was actually capable of singing English. I don't think he is.

  • This song may have some Similarity to his other song...but I'm pretty sure this is a Ripoff of Chris Brown's song "Forever" watch?v=gOTy_s9W8UE I mean I could just Forever's chorus going over this song.

  • How did this of all of your videos get 15,000 views? I haven't even heard this song! I could see it with the Lady Gaga videos, or even Kesha, but this? Come on, is this even a big name song?

  • I remember the good old days when I ran up to a random person and shouted out: "BOY HOWDY!"

  • jealous?? haha of what?? i can careless of what you two think!!

  • Personally, this song reminds me of Chris Brown's "Forever"

  • @RojoPrincess Applying jealousy to all negative criticism NEVER makes you sound like a tool. [/sarcasm]

  • @RojoPrincess ur just jealous cause he's fucking hilarious, and you're defensive of the shit music u listen to. Respect his constructive criticism, don't sit and bitch and troll on youtube. nobody sees you're opinion of his videos as valid, so just quit before you embarrass yourself more.

  • @RojoPrincess Good God. How many times did you smack your head on the keyboard to type out that fragmented garbage.

  • my fave part has to be the sean pual part!!! And of course "Yeah!!! Swan Lake!!!"

  • Omfg I nearly missed the rest of the video because I couldn't stop laughing over "YEAH! SWAN LAKE!"

  • @BigUgly73 Me too mate i did totally LOL @ yeah! swan lake!!

  • @BigUgly73 It's crap like that that's gonna be the death of me. Oh man, I really didn't expect that at all. I can barely breath...Oh Lord....

  • @BigUgly73 me too

  • BRING IT BACK!

  • I love Tchaikovsky!

  • actually, a better name would be "Down Memory Lane"

  • i just think it would be really fun is someone took bits from both "Down" and "Do You Remember" and predicted exactly what Jay Sean's next hit single will be "Do You Down". lol.

Anyways, great vid. The swan lake and lil jon part is so funny I nearly piss myself every time I watch it. Keep up the good work!

  • Lil Jon and Tchaikovsky in Swan Lake!

That's like 50 cent and Mozart in "The Magic Flute"

  • I find it a tad hypocritical that you're hiding behind the internet while calling someone a coward.

  • (To whomever thumbs-downed my comment--it was a reply to someone trolling this video.)

  • hey!!!!!!!!!!! Don't be mean!!!!!!!!!! He chose not to reveal his identity to horrible haters LIKE YOU!!!!!!

  • Bring it back actually refers to Lil Jon. They're quite gay for each other.

  • "If a good tune and decent lyrics can make you zone everything out, then there's no harm in that. "

I thought I addressed this, but a good tune can make me zone everything out. That good tune was "Down." "Do You Remember" is the same tune but without the good parts.

  • except that Ice Ice Baby wasn't released by the same artist as Under Pressure, so it doesn't exactly compare to an artist recycling his own tunes.

  • it's his opinion!!!!!

  • @knightmarecs

in metal THERE ARE NO BAD LYRICS. at least not in iron maiden, five finger death punch, sirenia, or the agonist (you may need to look up lyrics as some of these, a.k.a. the agonist, can be very difficult to understand). and that is why the gods made heavy metal and IT'S NEVER GONNA DIE!

  • @bloodsoakedbastard Iron Maiden yes, but the rest no. You want really good lyrics? Listen and read to "Guardian" by Fates Warning and you'll see metal poetry.

  • Wow ur an idiot

  • jay sean- no soul. Music is as whited out as a 90's boy band.

  • How're you doin'?

    Grandma's chicken salad.

  • I demand a full Little John version of that Swan Lake song now. It would be the greatest rap mashup since Drop it Like it's Hot and Gourmet Race!

  • @Rednirma In what way is Todd fucked up for reviewing pop songs..?

  • Somehow, the refrain of this song reminds me of the beginning of "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire more than anything : /

  • Where's my "Lil Wayne is on your song" card?

  • I dunno, I kind of liked the sample of that older song of his that you had near the end there. I might have to check it out. What was the name of that one?

  • Gotta love "YEAH! SWAN LAKE!"

  • Best thumbnail ever.

  • Awesome!

  • Good review.

I love these reviews... I feed upon them. Mm, fresh reviewes... *Gurgle*
